Feruchemy is an end-neutral art, and doesn't draw from either Ruin or Preservation. Supposedly, it draws only from the feruchemist's own investiture, but how exactly does that work? Investiture cannot be created or destroyed, and since they don't seem to have a limited amount of investiture they can store if given enough time, it seems that they must get this investiture from somewhere else. Is there investiture in the spiritual realm that is free from Ruin or Preservation, or any shard, that they draw from? Do they convert the energy represented by other attributes, like body heat, into investiture? But attributes like strength snap back to what they were when the feruchemist stops storing, so how does that work compared to attributes like memory or energy?
