Kindle release time?
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor's topic in Stormlight Archive
Thanks for the answers and tips! -
So I preordered WoR on kindle. This is my first kindle preorder so I don't have any experience with it and I have a few questions. Will it automatically download to my kindle, or will I have to manually download it? What time will it download/be available to download? Will it be midnight eastern time? Or will it be midnight pacific time because amazon is in Seattle? Or even later? Thanks in advance for the answers!

The detail could simply be because he was the first bridge man's outside of bridge four that Kaladin saved.

Where is the Plate and Blade
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to Glaring at the Survivor's topic in Stormlight Archive
What if the ardentia has some of them. It makes sense that they would have had at least some during the hierocracy, and I think that when it became evident that they were going to lose the war, they hid away most of not all of the plates and blades. Not to get off topic, but if they did have done shards, they would be in a great position to try to take over the government again seeing that they already control most if not all of the soulcasters on Roshar. I realize this is a pretty crackpot theory, but imagine if the ardents one day all summoned shardblades. It would be totally unexpected and they could easily take over the government and reestablish the hierocracy. Once again, it is very unlikely that this would happen, but it would explain at least in part the missing plate and blades. Edit: Was it even the ardents that controlled the government during the hierocracy? Or was the ardentia founded after the hierocracy as a means of keeping religion from controlling government? In other words, was the ardentia founded after the hierocracy, or just changed into what it is now?- 7 replies

Ya I've been wondering the same thing. -
Is there a way to undo a down vote? I accidentally down voted a post as I was trying to scroll down on my phone.

Can the listeners still hear their dead?
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to The Count's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think it's plausible that they can hear their dead. I can't remember the exact quote or who said it, but it was either Eshonai or one of the other listeners who said something along the lines of The old songs spoke of hundreds of forms. Maybe it's through the dead that they know those songs. The songs wouldn't necessarily give instructions on how to get the forms, but they might speak of The forms. -
Rock - he's been holding out
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to vikorr's topic in Stormlight Archive
Honestly, it's not even that difficult... Airsick lowlanders.... But in all honesty, with a little practice saying it out loud to yourself (preferably while you're alone, so people won't think you're crazy), it's not that hard to get the hang of. -

When will Shallan bust out her big secret?
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to ragingdomer's topic in Stormlight Archive
I like the idea of Shallan being forced to use her blade to kill darkness. It makes complete sense because she is the perfect target for darkness and it just seems like something Sanderson would do. I also get the feeling that her blade is an honorblade. I don't know why I do, but it just feels right to me. Assuming darkness is indeed a herald, how great would it be for him to be killed with the blade of one of his former comrades. -
Urithiru, the Castle... er, City in the Sky
Numuhukumakiakiaialunamor replied to Colby Jack's topic in Stormlight Archive
I highly doubt that Urithiru is flying or in the air. Personally, I think it's somewhere far to the west, and it hasn't been found because it's so far away from Alethkar. I also get the feeling that the Parshendi know where it is. Either they lived there before the war there or stumbled upon it sometime. I don't know why I get this feeling, but I think it would be a great twist if they finally found Urithiru and there were a bunch of Parshendi.
