  1. It seems likely to me that the ardent Pai, in the interludes was also part of a society. The way she specifically sought out the queen's ardents, and the chaos she caused almost screams that she is a diagramist. After all, who would be a better person to take control of a chaotic Alethkar that Taravangian? He supposedly cares for the people, as shown by his hospitals, and he would not let the people starve like Elhokar's wife. Even if she is not part of the diagramists, I highly doubt she acted alone.
  2. It makes me wonder if you could awaken a spike to 'grant allomancy'.
  3. It might be more comfortable due to the enhanced strength and support, but Adolin does complain about the chafing it causes. So it is not extremely comfortable, but probably more than traditional earth-style plate armor, as that required ridiculous amounts of padding, and they put shardplate on over clothes.
  4. I have all the mistborn signed, a memory of light, all the alcatraz books signed, and warbreaker. I gave my brother signed copies of the first three mistborn, plus elantris. I don't have any of the novellas or reconers signed, or the stormlight archive (I read The Way of Kings enough that my hardback fell apart, and I duck-taped it back together, so I have to buy a new hardback and get it signed.) However, my favorite signed piece I have is my nook covers. I got my everyday cover signed, and a new cover signed by Brandon as well. My goal is to get all of my favorite authors to sign my nook covers, as my nook contains all of their books.
  5. I was re-reading some warbreaker annotaitons when I noticed this in the chapter 32 annotation This implies hoid has other names he uses. Did brandon keep hoid's other pseudonyms, and if he did, what are they?EDIT: used full quote instead of quote snippit
  6. I belive that atium can be burned because it is the incarnation of ruin, not because it is a metal. Not all metals can be burned, such as silver or lead. We also have an instance of a non metal being burned, although it was burned by a shard from the mistborn 3 annotations, chapter 55 Preservation burned his mind, not a metal. This is not a perfect example, as preservation was a shard and not an allomancer.
  7. Ichor alcohol is not what caused the awakening to become more efficent, a new command is what made a lifeless take 1 breath instead of 50 I think the Ichor Alcohol made the lifeless less likely to rot, as later Vasher says that the Ichor alcohol could become tainted and some of the lifeless would stop working.
  8. He would have been above the fifth sept, as when someone is adopted, they gain about the fifth sept. (chapter 5, if you want to know where I got that) I also find this explanation more reasonable. He then would still be higher than King Dunn, but low enough to avoid notice. 4th sept would probably be perfect to hide him, but for him to still be higher than Dunn.
  9. I am fairly sure you can pull on spikes using regular allomancy, but it is much harder because you have to pull it when it is in someone's body. The Lord rular was able to push Vin's earing out, because he was one of the original allomancers.
  10. I like Inquisitor santa better. Instead of bribing kids to be good, he will drive a massive spike through them if they're not good. That'll teach them to fear the Lord Ruler.
  11. mabey a Duraluminum/Nicrocis enchaced time bubble could tear a hole in the space-time continum, depsiting the contents of the bubble in a different part of the multiverse. I don't know how you would stear it, though. Or even what that would do to the surrondings. sorry for the typos
  12. The Allomantic enhancement metals sould probably also be called spititual metals as well. I think the way they work is they increce or decrece an allomancer's connection to preservation, which either allows them to burn their metals in a giant flare, or it tempoaraly disables thier connection to preservation. This would also explain why aluminum disables all the metals, and not just the ones you are burning, and why Duraluminum only burns away the ones that you are currently burning. The increced connection to Preservation would not burn away your metals, but disabling your connection would make them seem to disapear. The metals would still be in your digestive tract, but you would not be able to access them.
  13. Actually, we do know that the shardblades turn a darkeys into a lighteyes. In sezeth's first interlude he says I find it interesting that his eyes only change color when he sommons his blade. I do think that the blades and plate might not be of honor. having that sort of almost insurmountable advantage over someone does not sound very honerable. But why do they call some shardblades the honorblades? are they from honor instead of odium, or are all blades from one or the other?
  14. I do't think all magic has to have a snapping-like event. After all, you don't go through a snapping process when you aquire breath. It could be argued that the rush of sensations is a snapping, but that is only when you get a large amount of breath all at once. Also, you don't have to snap to be a furuchemist, and I believe that somewhere in TWK it says that Kalidin had been infusing stormlight for months. That would probably be too long of a time between then and his almost suicide to be a snapping event.
