So has anyone here ever played or modded a forum mafia game? I think it would be cool to have a mafia game based on one of Brandon Sanderson's worlds. I was part of one on Dragonmount that was Mistborn themed and it was pretty fun but only about 1/4 of us  playing had read the book since it is WoT fan site. but it would be pretty cool if we had one here since most of us have read all of Sanderson's books. Anyway if anyone knows how to mod a game and has the time to do it then you should. or you can instruct me in the art of it and I could pull up the mistborn game and base a game here of it.

its not hard to moderate one if you know how to play mafia. In fact, wikipedia has a write up about playing it online on forums.

i'd totally be up for playing some mafia. Why don't you go ahead and read that over, and give it a shot moderating? I'm sure others around here have likely played before, and we'd be willing to work with ya to get it working well and all that, and that way you could get the hang of it through experience

yeah I've played a few games and know the basic rules, I'll read over that wikipedia page and try and get a hold of the person that ran the mistborn to find out all the roles and abilities she used but it wasn't that complex of a game.

I've played, but not online.  Is there much of a difference?  I'll play even if there is, though.  I seem to not be able to get enough of writing things on this forum.

not too much, mafia communicates through PM's and decide who they wanna kill and tell whoever is administering the game, there's an open discussion topic for the daytime when everyone discusses who they want to lynch, obviously it plays a bit slower than IRL.

OK I think I've found enough info on how to mod and will probably put up sign up thread sometime next week, It wont be the mistborn one because I want to make a bigger game out of it then it was originally and would like more experience modding before I try it.
