This is the story of my life.....I know exactly what you mean!!! I have read Mistborn 3 times and thought it was good but i have read Way of Kings seven Times and WOR six times this is my favorite Cosmere series by far the world just comes alive and it is completely compelling. Each reread you just pick up little things that make you go OOHHHHHH! Why didn't i see that. Though to be hones Pat and Brandon are masters of subtlety, i always have a hard time finding books i like after finishing one of their series as nothing i have found can really compare....

Yeah i like Lopen a lot and i think he's funny and great at comic relief but i wouldn't want to waste a whole novel on him. Not when it's to lessen the wait for SA3 and learn more of the Cosmere. Yeah, Jasnah is probably too main character for the novella. I'd like to see a Helaran, Mraize, Lift, Axies type Novel. Something we could generally learn something from, Helaran = Asking Wit to pass a message to his father, Attacking Kals crew, Learn finally that he didn't have an Honorblade. Mraize = Learn about him, Iyatil and the Ghostblood crew. Lift = An interesting character we could learn more about her and this 'Shadow City.' (Hopefully her Spren would rant and drop more interesting hints) Axies = Learn more about his Immortality, the Spren and the culture and the differences between Dysian Aimians and Siah Aimians.

Book Recommendations
AerionBFII replied to Silus - Shard of Flame's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I'd like to recommend the Iron Druid Series by Kevin Hearne to anybody who likes Urban Fantasy. The main character is over 2000 year old Irish Druid with the Appearance of a 21 year old. Much like Kvothe, he is a paranoid, charming, smooth talking Red Head with a killer sense of humor. -
OMG i read Name of the Wind once and thought it was okay, didn't see what the fuss was about. Reread it and became obsessed.... Books baffle me...

@Emerald101 I doubt they will get together. I think there will maybe be some mooning on both ends but it will pass do you really think Kal will jeopardize everything he and his Bridgemen have earned? Personally i don't think he will. I think Brandon is angling for character conflict not a love triangle. I think in the Storm they bonded and shared a connection Adolin wont be apart of. Can't be apart of because he hasn't been through what they have. Personally i don't hold anything against Laral, we know the temperament of Roshone and his son. If Laral still tried to show interest in Kal at that point i don't think they would have liked that.... Also she has also considered Kal and his family friends and to have your family friends steal from you? That's not right, the loss of her father and servants she had known all her life and to suddenly not own the house you live in, she was a young confused girl who there is no doubt in my mind getting pressured and pressed from Roshone at home.. I know Kal went to war and that's where his troubles started but lets not forget that he chose to go. Kal is my fave character in the Cosmere but that was his decision. Nothing about Laral's life was her decision. So i don't hold it against her that she didn't leap to Kal's defense Shardblade in hand to defend Kaladin's honor. As unpleasant as Roshone was after the loss of his son, who was the one stuck with him all the time? And then forced to marriage? I am eager to see her again mostly out of curiosity, to see how she has adapted.

'Entering' Shadesmar? Aren't you already there...
AerionBFII replied to Turos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The thing i find most interesting, is that Shadesmar/Cognitive Realm is connects to the different Shardworlds and each Shardworld has differing ways of entering Shardworlds. -
Having a great reread (audiobook style!) of all my faves: Just finishing book 3 of The Night Angel series by Brent Weeks Then i will reread Kvothe's series, Then i will freshen up on The Prince of Fools before the release of Book 2 in the series, Then i will finally begin Locke Lamora!

Yeah !! I know the feeling! They are a great set of characters and a good magic system! The final book of LB will be out around summer2016, then Brent said he may venture back to Midcyru!?!?!?

[Theory] Taravangian's real way of saving mankind
AerionBFII replied to Raysen_ht's topic in Stormlight Archive
I always thought the Nightwatcher gave Mr.T the key to save the world, the high intelligence and compassion as his boon but the curse is the inability to use it. Mr.T has incredible flaws and the things he does are evil but what if he did save Roshar?? Would he be evil then or more a pragmatist? -
She was a young girl, the last of her family her father died, her inheritance stolen and life turned upside down. I can hardly blame her for the way she acted, i think she will reappear.

Except if he feels like just doing it anyway or starts hunting Kal and crew because they 'caused' a Desolation?

Im very fond of the Talent magic in the Night Angel and the magic in the Lightbringer Series Magic both by Brent Weeks. The Auger abilities in the Licanius series is also very cool.

Restored my faith in Dark, Gritty Fantasy!!!! Every once in a while i get weary of the clean cut, naive, absurdly clueless but lucky hero and feel like something a bit more realistic and honest to the dark side of human nature. This was a pleasant surprise and i loved every page! Eagerly awaiting book 2 in The second trilogy !

LOVED THIS SERIES!!! Listened to it via Graphic Audio!!! The most amazing experience, Brent Weeks is considering more NA books after Lightbringer 4! I cant wait!!!!

Helaran had (Amaram has) an Honorblade

Lightweavers only have like the first oath right? I think every Radiant group is different. Maybe if you already have Lighteyes you don't need your eyes to change. -
Facepalm-worthy Moments during Readings

I always pictured Rock as a sort of Savage Scottish Highlander Shaman dude haha All pales in comparison to Dalinars epic face palm when he realized that Honor wasn't actually talking directly to him- 119 replies

Question about Zahel, COSMERE SPOILERS
AerionBFII replied to MitchBade's topic in Stormlight Archive
@Elsecaller3414 It makes a kind of pragmatic sense to me, he is weary of roaming around Nalthis procuring BREATHS to stay alive, so he comes to Roshar where the investiture comes naturally through the Highstorms. Less effort twice the natural nourishment~~~~ Besides Vasher was in the original 2002 storyline and he's currently been on Roshar for 12 earth years -
I see you also subscribe to the soothing tones of Michael Kramer? I sense a kindred spirit, to damnation with Morgan Freeman narrating my life, GIVE ME KRAMER!!!!
-
That is a very interesting point!!!! I have also been playing around with that idea, Shallan i think is based off a character from 'Liar of Partinel' (Hoids background) so she may have reminded him of her? That's entirely if it's Canon. I think a rebirth would be possible, Brandon has stated that each Shardworld has a afterlife but i think reincarnation is entirely plausible.

I Don't hate Denna she can be quite witty but I do not see why Kvothe thinks she is so incredible... Anybody have any guesses as to whats going to go down in book 3?

Helaran had (Amaram has) an Honorblade
AerionBFII replied to wolverinehokie's topic in Stormlight Archive
Mr.T isn't infallible, he could be wrong about Helaran even being able to Surgebind? I saw no sign of it from what i saw of him, maybe one day he could have gained the ability but currently he's unable to learn because of his ailment I.E. Death via Knife through the eye. If i recall correctly from Lifts POV the only 'awesome' member of the Skybreakers crew was Nin himself. I personally believe Nin is simply gathering fanatic wannabes and giving them the basic knowledge and tools. 10 Honor Blades; Taln still had his bound to him in damnation in the WOK prologue. A Herald also went back after the others had left to retrieve theirs. And Szeth had one currently in Kals possession. That leaves 7 with the Stone Shamans. It's so hard trying to navigate all of these teams and remember who knows what: Ghostbloods, Sons of Honor, Diagram team , The Envisigers and there is something going on with the church!!!!
