  1. I don't think that the spren is in the box, or even part of it, because in the disadvantaged shardbearer duel, Syl saw something strange near Renarin and flew (Or whatever she does) over to him. In fact (Since I don't own the book I can't say), I don't think Renarin had the box during the duel. There's no proof yet, but I think Syl saw a spren near him.
  2. Well...I listened to WOK of audiobook, and consequently had no idea how to spell Kaladin, which, at the time, I thought was Calladan. And so, I found Calladan wasn't taken on the site, and happily chose it as my username. Then I found the Coppermind, and the correct spellings, and to save myself from eternal shame like the cosmere has never seen, I defected to Dalinar. WOR SPOILER
  3. Well, now I've got a storming lot more work to do before I can amount to anything. These new ranks are...Well, interesting. EDIT: From Mistborn to Awakened Object. That's quite a fall. xD
  4. Well, that was certainly interesting. I thought I would survive, because nobody had bothered to lynch me. ;3 Turns out, a coinshot has a pretty good choice of suspects. Anyway, I hope you all get your heads chopped off, and are killed slowly by Ruin's hand. Good luck! -Spiked out.
  5. Arst watched everybody who passed. He'd taken to the shadows, keeping his sword with him. If another murder was attempted that night... He would keep them alive. He had to. His eyes were dark from lack of sleep, but he was more lucid then he would have liked. He was no tineye, but he still heard every sound, watched every figure. Not tonight.
  6. I actually think this is full, but you could create your own group, I suppose. I found this topic too late, and I'm looking for one to join.
  7. Arst awoke. He groaned, feeling groggy, but he stood and walked outside. The sun was set, and the mists were out. He knew he'd been asleep for much too long. Arst walked past the square, and heard a voice reach his ears. "He was spiked. A mistborn too, I heard." He frowned, and looked at the speaker. Unfamiliar. "Who?" The woman turned. "Asp. Didn't you hear? He's dead now, though." The beast inside Arst roared with triumph. Arst froze, then broke into a smile. "We will rid Blackwater of these murderers yet!" He then started off toward the tavern, hoping some spiced ale would wake him up. Two Hours Later: Arst staggered out of the tavern, slightly drunk. Hey guys, sorry for my inactive streak. I'm back. EDIT: The sun isn't rising, stupid me.
  8. Why are you all so smart. O_O I can't decipher a single code, or do any of that stuff. XD
  9. Alright, time to propose my theories: One. I think that because there are no longer 'safe roles', the only reason Peng took them away was so he could give the spiked those roles. I don't think there's a spiked mistborn, because of the first mistborn message thing at the beginning, it doesn't seem like something a spiked would say, because he is proposing that he will reveal who he is or something later. I know I don't have stuff backing this, so don't believe me, but I'm just spitting my ideas out. Two. There are two tineyes. I'd guess that one is spiked, probably the creepy Smell the Death guy. I think that Peng made tineye a normal role just so he could make a tineye spiked. So, if the tineye reveals who he really his, I'd suggest lynching him. And that's it. Don't trust me, I'm an idiot, but I hope these help somehow. I'm new to the game, so don't hate on me.
  10. It seems the spiked are lucky, but so are we! They got a seeker, we got a spiked! Also, what role does Erendi have?
  11. Well, this thread is very...Interesting... Hoid that thought, I just had an idea.
  12. Now Lopen can stick his own one armed Herdazians to the wall.
  13. "Oh, but Shallan, my heart yearns for you!" Kaladin cries, holding his hands to his chest. Shallan swooned. "Alas, Kaladin Stormblessed, you killed my brother! I cannot marry you!" "Leave, Kaladin, and never return," Adolin growls. "Shallan shall be my wife, and you may not involve yourself." "But I love her!" Kaladin declares, kneeling. "Shallan, will you marry me?" Shallan gasps. "B-b-but," she stammers. Renarin walks in. Shallan squeals and runs off, hugging him. Adolin gapes and Kaladin cracks, bursting into tears. Syl sighs, and Pattern hums softly. ---------------- ...Yeah. Soap opera style. I really hope this doesn't actually happen.
  14. Dalinar stepped into the square. Cyrus's body had been cleaned up, and he didn't know where they'd put it. He passed others, one of which, or maybe even two, were murderers. "I honestly don't know," he said to himself. Some people were voting, and it was sickening.
  15. Dyrii was dead. Arst hadn't been to see the body, but he'd been told. Cyrus killed, Dyrii dead. All by these heartless murderers. Why. Why do people want to kill? I know these villagers. Which one of them could be the killer? What would motivate them to do such?
  16. Anyway, the audiobook is forty eight hours long. xD Longer than Les Miserables. Is anybody else listening to it?
  17. Arst stared at Meta. "That was your great deduction? If you're a detective, at least tell us things that we don't know." Arst was angry. He was angry at Cyrus, for going and dying, almost abandoning the town. He was angry at Meta, for not seeming to take this seriously. "People are dying, Mr. Detective, and all you have is a toolkit which you don't need, and a sick sense of humor." Arst walked away from the square. The night was long, and he was tired. Now, plus the deaths that Cyrus had mentioned, there were four people dead. And nobody had a clue on who was killing them.
  18. ...I'm really good at tipping over pictures, and hitting my knees on the corner of tables. My talent is the most amazing of all. The Picture Not Perfect Knee Corner Hit talent!
  19. I solemnly swear that I shall not visit the 17th Shard forums, for reasons other than Sanderson Elimination, until I have finished Words of Radiance. Mischief managed.

  20. Arst ran toward the screaming, sword in his hand. He passed down the street. Another death? He ran into the square, and stopped, dead in his tracks. Cyrus was lying face down, dead on the ground. Arst yelled, and drew his sword. He searched near to the corpse, then farther, but there was no sign of the killer. And now they didn't have a leader. Arst walked back to the body, and knelt down next to Cyrus, dropping his sword. "I will avenge whatever happened to you, Cyrus. I will find your murderer, and kill him."
  21. Yeah, Audible is the best. It won't be on other sites for a while, but I think Audible knew this would be big. Also, if you don't want it to be your free audiobook, you can spend fifteen dollars on a credit, which will let you buy it instead of spending fifty.
  22. Arst had been listening to Cyrus at the square, but decided to keep silent during the remainder of the meeting. Three people dead, he thought bitterly. Not by natural causes. Who would be next? Arst mostly kept to himself, but he had some acquaintances in the village. He respected Cyrus, for breaking them out of the plantations, but he still didn't have real 'friends'.
  23. Well, I'm a fan of Michael Kramer's narrating, so I'm listening to the book! Already six hours through.. YUS, I woke up at midnight to start listening.
  24. The bell rung, piercing Arst's thoughts, and he stood up from the rock which had been his seat. Arst started trudging toward Cyrus's hovel, following some other villagers. The others were moving there, and he disliked missing meetings. Questions would normally come afterward, about what he was doing, and Arst liked keeping those details to himself.
