I thought someone said that Kaladin should be able to fly because the Windrunners of old could. I doubt this is telling us anything at all but rather just Lopen being Lopen.

My first thought was that it was odium talking to Hoid, perhaps about honor, adolasium, or perhaps some that he collected from a Cosmere world. I could see it being from a 17th sharder too.

That's an interesting way of thinking about it. It reminds me of "hand talk" from Kingkiller Chronicles.

That almost sounds like you put something that floats in the chasms and wait for a highstorm and see where it goes.

I agree. I think when Kaladin sees Adolin fight he might consider that he might be a good sparring partner with the added advantage of the plate and blade. A lot needs to happen if that sparring match is to ever occur, however. I think they could teach each other a lot. There is also the fact that the Windrunner abilities probably won't work as well on the plate if they are anything like Szeth's, so Kaladin will get practice dealing with that too.
