    Day Three: Retirement does not imply easy targets. The sounds of steel on steel was not beautiful, as many of his soldiers claimed, but Lorien did find it comforting. He listened from his small chape; as his soldiers trained, dueling each other in pairs and groups. He truly believed that no one, save maybe Eondel, would be able to kill him here at his mansion. As soon as Iadon had issued his proclamation to kill the conspirators, he had set about fortifying his estates, and increasing the salary of his men. He had talked to each and every soldier in person, and was certain of their loyalty to him. And yet, he still felt worried that he had missed something. Only his prayers to Domi, accompanied by the sound of vigilance allowed him to sleep easy at night. “Loving Domi, grant me safety and protection this night, and all others. Let Iadon sleep easy and realize the truth.” The door behind him creaked open, and a chill ran down his spine. He had standing orders that he was not to be disturbed during his prayers unless there was an emergency. He stood slowly, turning around to see who had arrived. His steward stood by the door, wringing his hands in nervousness. “My Lord Lorien.” He began stiffly. “A Messenger claiming to be from Iadon has arrived. He wishes to speak to you in private, here in the chapel, and claims he bears a cargo of ‘wood and oil,’ though he has no cargo with him.” Wood and Oil was a code that Iadon had insisted on. It signified the carried message had great import and needed to be acted on immediately. Lorien waved his consent, and the steward bowed. He left to fetch the messenger. Lorien sat down to wait, wondering what Iadon was going to tell him. Had he truly found a conspiracy? Or was Lorien being ordered somewhere? Wood and Oil was never a sign of good news. “Wood and Oil is such an interesting combination. It brings fire to mind. Is it for sacrifices to Domi?” Lorien snapped his head back to see the ‘messenger.’ he looked like no messenger from Iadon he had ever seen before. He was cloaked from head to foot, with no skin showing. His head pivoted back and forth, as if he was determined to never look in one direction for more than a second. “You are not a messenger from Iadon. How did you get the passcode?” The messenger focused on him for the first time, and Lorien could hear his grin. “I drank it from his mind while he slept!” “Why are you here?” “To receive an answer. I asked a question a while ago, but the poor man died before he could answer. Tell me lord, does God decide our fate, or does man decide our chances?” “Domi has planned our fates of course.” “Let’s see you prove it!” The messenger dashed forward, cloak streaming out behind him. Lorien crossed his arms in front of him in a desperate bid to defend himself from whatever attack was coming, but rather than attack him, the messenger skidded to a halt less than a foot from him. “Do you know how you will prove that Domi wills your life to continue?” Lorien took one step back, trembling. “H-how?” “By waking you up in the morning.” The messenger twirled, and drove one foot into his chest. He flew backwards, hitting the stone altar. He screamed as he fell to the ground, his entire body burning in pain. “I think you’re dead now, but if you can hear this, congratulations on your retirement! Goodbye!” Lorien groaned softly as he heard the chapel door close. He tried to call out to his steward, but felt something dig into his chest. It felt like his ribs were broken. And maybe an arm. He had let himself go. If he woke up tomorrow, Domi willing, he’d take up practice with his soldiers. He never should have let himself get so weak. Adonai’s eyes slowly open, breaking the crust that coated his lashes. He groaned as he began to feel his body. Light streamed in from the window, blinding him. He coughed once, the action sending tremors down his body. He tried to rub the crust from his eyes, but found his arm was bound to the bed. What had happened? He heard footsteps to the side, and a priest entered his blurry field of vision. “Thank the father you’re still alive.” The priest turned and called over his shoulder. “He has awoken, bring the doctor.” He turned back and offered him a comforting smile. “You’re going to live sir. We feared you would not survive your injuries at your advanced age sir, but you’re stronger than you seem.” “What, happened?” His voice sounded ragged to him, and his throat felt like it was dead. “We don’t know. The city watch brought you to us late last night, after finding you in the street, badly beaten. We had hoped you would know more than us.” Adonai kept the emotion off his face, but inside, he raged. He had been beaten? Badly enough and quickly enough that he had no memory of the event? Whoever had done this would pay for their insolence. They had attacked the wrong man. They should have gone for a man with less skills than him. He would figure out who had done this, and he would crush them. It was time to get back to his roots. Day three has started! It ends in 47 hours! Alvron was attacked, but survived! Conquestor was attacked, but Survived! PM’s are open again!

    5 minutes until rollover. Writeup is being delayed by an hour, due to both RL circumstances and a mess up in regards to actions. I need to make sure everything is correct before I post results.

    ripplegylf I'm going to try to play this strategically. I won't vote for anyone who hasn't voted for me. Also, I'm to going to refer to RippleGylf (The Member) as RippleGlyf, and myself as RippleGlyph. 'RippleGlyph' tapped his screen, and when nothing happened, tapped it a few more times. It stayed stuck like that, still loading, with a picture of a man on a bridge being attacked by some giant blue worm thing. It was captioned with a warning to be aware of his surroundings. He tapped it a few more times in frustration before completely turning off his phone and rebooting it. In the precious minutes it took to reboot and reopen, people started to congregate together into groups, leaving him and a few others alone. Once again, the game reached the loading screen and then refused to load any further. Great. He barely new how to play this game, and now it wasn't working. He looked around, hoping to spot an employee of Nyan-tic, or whatever it was to see if they could help him. He couldn't see any in his immediate vicinity, but hopefully they were at least in the room. After five minutes of searching the room, he concluded that there were none. He chewed on his lip as he contemplated his options. He couldn't load his game, so he needed someone who knew more about electronics or whatever that could help him. But he didn't want people to think he wasn't nerdy enough to know how to do that. Not seeming Nerdy enough was what got him in this mess in the first place after all. So he couldn't ask any of the people in groups for help, which left only the few loners. Most of them looked, well, they looked like the people who bought the game to use for criminal purposes. He didn't want to end up owing a favor to someone like that, nor did he want to give them blackmail material. Which left only one option. There was a kid in a wheelchair with a huge smile on his face. He was spinning around one handed as if trying to look at everything at once. A quick glance told him that everyone else was using two hands to run their phones. Wheels was probably at a disadvantage if he had to use one hand to move the wheelchair. Maybe they could trade help? His course decided, he made his way across the room to Wheels. The kid looked up once Ripple got close enough to maybe toss something to him. Ripple gave a quick little wave and tried to smile. "Hi Wheels, I'm Ripple." He immediately slapped both hands over his mouth as he realized what he had said. "Wait no I shouldn't have said that! That's really discriminatory or something to call you wheels isn't it! I'm sorry! I just wanted to ask for your help but I accidentally called you wheels because i don't know your name, and I should have thought of what to say before coming over here, and now I'm babbling and I should probably shut up." His cheeks were now at a steady burn, and were probably tomato red. He wanted to crawl in a hole and die. But if he did, his brother would be right. Feel free to either accept my RP help @Metacognition, or rebuff me. I miss our Competition as M and Joseph. this time I won't betray you*! I promise. *By Betray, I mean I will not attack you without a full turn's notice, will not lie to you about my intentions or actions, and will not go back on my word. This is all assuming you want to team up. If you don't, then None of those things count as Betrayal, and I will kill you whenever it is strategically sound to do so.

What is Fear but Faith in the power of the enemy? What is Wonder but Faith in the power of your own? Wonder and Fear are the most powerful tools of the faithful in the creation of gods. Together, The mind of men shape the worlds and the Gods that rule them. The emotions men inspire shape their destiny. Joy and Comfort and trust and Determination and Sorrow and Rage and Fear and Hatred. All shape the man into something else. The hearts and Mind of men are powerful. They create things. Space. . . Order. . . Death. . . Gods. . . . . .And Begin Again. The Gods of Men are known and unknowable. The Darkness and the Light, and the Chaos in between. They are not the false gods of Adonalsium. They are the Illuminant Mother, the Veiled Father, and the Volatile Vision. Created by the Hearts of man, by the lust of power, the fear of the dark, the desire to learn, they shaped the worlds they walked on, and altered the fates of their worshipers. But they held no illusions as to their creation. They knew of their nothingness without their worshippers, their agents, their confidants, their friends. They knew what would happen should they be lost, and did their best to ensure the continual survival of all who had helped create them. The Brightness and the Shadow and the Storm knew they could not force a man to endure past his own will. And they knew when a man so important to them all refused to continue on. The pacified the Cosmere in the urgency to watch the most momentous of occasions. Everything was stopped, but on hold, delayed, save for a palace in a Godless City on an Ancient world. They stopped, and watched as an Era came to an end. They watched as their power faded irreversibly. “My name is Esheo. My name is Aili. My name is Maw. I am Braveheart and Trueheart, Liram and Malarn, I am Thirty lives, full of change. Where I walk, Empires fall and Dynasties die. Where I sleep, Armies ravage and Storms shatter. When I speak, villains weep, and poets smile. I am the True Lord of Odium, and the Stalwart Protector. I am the Spymaster of the Shadow. I am the Silverpike of the Storm. I am the one who survives the falling Silence. I am the voice of Creation.” “I was the first to fight the Bloodthirsty Goddess. I was the first to follow the Shadow. I was the first to spread the Chaos of the Storm. And now, I am the first to truly leave. Farewell.” Everyone was silent after Esheo finished speaking. The noose he had insisted they tie t hang him hung around his neck, waiting for him to take a single step off the platform. No one truly wanted him to take the step, but none could deny his right. Not fully. In a manner unlike anything most of the citizenry had felt before, a Presence in the crowd made itself known. A Lurking, unquantifiable menace. Life turned to numbers. The crowd parted, revealing the silhouette of a man. The only feature distinguishable upon his form were glowing eyes, though what colour they were, none could say. All knew instinctively what his words were, though they were never uttered aloud. You will not die like a common born. I cannot stop your departure from this plane, but I can enhance it. The shivering darkness of the Presence receded, as another had always been upon the platform with Esheo. A figure of Light , with hands and feet stained by blood had always been behind him, and always would. The crowd spoke her will aloud in accordance with her desire. “SERVITOR OF SHADOWS, I WELCOME YOUR DEPARTURE, BUT CURSE YOUR ABSENCE. YOUR ARRIVAL IN THE REALMS BEYOND OUR OWN WILL BE HERALDED, AND YOU WILL BE WELCOMED WITH THE HIGHEST OF HONOURS.” The Silence was shattered by the sudden Storm above. A voice of thunder and glee burst forth from the darkened sky. “Eldest of man, and true wielder of Chaos, My gift to you is remembrance. Your name will be on the lips of all for years to come. Your absence will shape the Cosmere, and when you return, you will find a host awaiting your wisdom and glory.” The Three spoke as one. GO NOW WITH OUR BLESSING, WILLIAM, SON OF ANDERS. The Silhouette of the man rose his arm, and all light in the world went out. In a great burst of light and Shadow, Esheo died. Mailliw was lynched! He was a Citizen Bodyguard! What? Why? Balance reasons mostly, but also amusement. I enjoy making the village lynch their own protection roles, plus Mailliw has been a protection role the past three games before this. And I try not to be predictable. A Jester was way too obvious. Pirate, Bodyguard and Nobe are now available for Beggars.     The Second Day The Night was cold, and dark, the half moon covered by a stormfront that had rolled in from the ocean. The flickering light of the street lamps provided enough illumination for Straw to see that the streets were empty as he hurried from doorway to doorway. He was fairly certain that he was being followed. The lack of noises from behind made it obvious. There were cats and insects ahead of him, where no one had walked recently. But they stayed silent for far too long behind him. He turned the corner of Etu Street onto Koi street and saw Aeleus waiting for him up ahead. Good. He needed allies among the nobility if he wanted to live another day. His chest still hurt from where Ashkelon had shoved the spear through it. He had managed to avoid the mobs for a week or so, but he hee wouldn’t survive another one. Aeleus pushed himself upright form where he had been leaning as soon as Straw reached him. “You wanted to meet with me?” “You were part of the mob that accused me of conspiring against Iadon a while back. And yet, your fellow Nobility told Iadon to arrest Naara.” “I don’t have to agree with them. We work together, yes, but we’re not a collective, Pirate." Straw grinned at the loathing in the word. “Pirate indeed. Retired, because I had enough wealth to live the rest of my life quite comfortably. And, as you well know, oh newly appointed lord, money is power in this city.” Aeleus raised an eyebrow, and gestured for him to go on. “Name your price to support me, both publicly, and in the ranks of the nobility.” “An, interesting, proposal to be sure, but I can claim your money once you’re dead as well, can’t I?” “Or I could snap your-” His threat was interrupted by a clear voice coming from behind him. “A Monk and a Gambler had a debate. They discussed the concepts of God Chance and Fate. The Gambler decried the existence of two, while the Monk scoffed at the idea of the other. Tell me good sirs, does Domi have a plan for this night? Or is it all up to Man?” Straw couldn’t see anyone from where the voice was coming from. Aeleus stepped up next to him, peering into the darkness. “Who are you?” “A God among men.” Something dropped from the sky onto Straw, and he pitched forward onto the ground. He rolled sideways, throwing his assailant off his back. Aeleus stepped forward and held out a dagger to him, keeping his eyes on the cloaked man. “Truce?” “Acceptable.” He grabbed the dagger by the blade and threw it underhanded at the man in one motion. The man caught it, then sprung to his feet. “The answer my friends, is, Huh? Who are you?” Something hit Straw in the back of the head, throwing him into the brick wall next to him. It was followed up with two more blows to his face in rapid succession. He slumped over, his vision blackening. His last sight was that of Aeleus’ corpse hitting the ground next to him. Straw was killed! He was a Citizen Retired Pirate! Ecthellion III was killed! He was a Citizen Noble! Retired Pirate and Noble are now available for Beggars to take. The Day will end in twenty-four (24) hours. PM's are once again open!

    Played the first session of my new DnD group. WE found a baby dragon, and our Groot-expy barbarian attacked it for no reason. The party slplit into those attacking the dragon. (5 people) those running/hiding (2 people) and those healing the dragon (me). The baby's mother arrived and promptly killed everyone but me. Yay True Neutrality.

    If a Player is Lynched or attacked, and lives due to an extra life, it will say they survived. If they were protected, it will say they were saved. Young Eyes White Bard is Young Bard. I played a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh today, and Blue Eyes White Dragon is sweet.

    Night 1: R.E.D The room was filled with the scribbling of a quill on parchment. A letter was being written. A warrant. A Bribe. The Duke signed the letter decrying Straw as a Criminal and Conspirator, and read it over. He blew gently on the ink, then gently poured sand onto it, drying the ink. He folded the letter, poured on wax, and stamped it with his signet ring. He tied the letter to another message, an authorization to transfer a large amount of money from his account to the Holder.It was no small sum, being enough to buy a mansion on the outskirts of the city. But the Duke had no doubts that it was worth it. The favors he would be owed for this act, from Iadon, certain members of the nobility, and those who feared Straw, would easily pay him back tenfold. He grinned as a Servant entered the room, took the messages, and left for the Palace. Iadon would be more than happy to let the other conspirators take care of Straw for him. No one would interfere with the crowd. Straw backed up until his back hit the wall. “Now now, sirs, we don’t need to do this.” Ashkelon shook his fist at him from the front of the boisterous crowd. Straw had a hard time hearing his voice over the other’s calling for his public execution and decrying his god name as a traitor. “You’ve conspired to overthrow King Elhokar, I mean, King Iadon! Your sermons of dissension will not be tolerated!” “I’m not conspiring against everyone! I’m just a happily retired man!” His obvious non aggression and pleas fell on deaf ears. The crowd continued to yell, but none wanted to be the first to try to grab him. They still feared him for his size. He towered over them. Still, it wouldn’t be right to not give it one last try. “Citizens, please, there is no evidence of a Conspiracy against the king!” The Crowd ignored him. Lopen and Kailin began egging the crowd on even further, attempting to push them over the edge. Ashkelon grabbed the arm of a passing Guard and pulled him up. “Soldier! Arrest this man on charges of High Treason against the crown!” The Guard looked up at Straw, who did his best to look loyal to the crown, and shook his head. “Apologies M’Lord, but we’ve been ordered not to interfere in this manner.” Straw considered his options. The crowd was close to willing to grab him and kill him, the guards wouldn’t interfere, and he had no allies that he could see. But he could channel his past. He stepped forward and roared, changing from a gentle giant to a thundering behemoth in an instant. The crowd quieted, and began to shrink away from him. “I am Innocent of crimes against the Crown, but if the Guards aren’t going to interfere in this matter, then I will happily defend myself” He took another step forward, and cracked his knuckles. The yells began to return. Some yelled in terror, some gave orders to run away. 5 ordered the crowd onward, citing his threat as proof of his guilt. “Ashkelon! You leave now. Don’t bring accusation like this against me again.” The crowd thinned out even more as Ashkelon glared at him. “I will not! If the crowd will not enact justice, I will do so myself!” In one smooth motion, Ashkelon pivoted on one foot, snatching the Guard’s spear from his hand. He spun fully around, adding momentum to his thrust, he stabbed Straw in the Chest. He roared in pain. Blood sprayed outward staining the crowd. Straw stumbled backwards, hitting the wall once more. He steadied himself, then grabbed the Spear with one hand. He bellowed as he pulled it out of his body. His vision flashed and he nearly blacked out from pain, but he focused, and the pain receded. He rose to his full height and slammed the butt of the spear into the ground. The crowd silenced immediately. Ashkelon stared, wide eyed and open mouthed as Straw looked around. In a much quieter voice than before, he spoke. “Does anyone here doubt that I could kill everyone here? Does anyone want to be the first to die on this spear? If not, leave, now.” The crowd began to disperse, slowly at first, but then more and more hurrying away. After a minute, only Ashkelon and Straw remained. Straw ignored him and began to walk away, using the spear to support himself. “Straw, what are you?” He paused. “Retired.” Straw was Lynched, but Survived!
