Long Game 31: A World Without Vin
Jo and the Bush replied to Conquestor's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Just going to respond to some this time. I said that to offset what Elbereth said. He clarification will cause people to be suspicious of TLR. I think TLR is a safe role, and am inclined to trust them. If he becomes a Mayor, it's easy to deal with, just ignore them. Most players are Mayor averse, so i'm sure we can head off any attempted mayoring, plus, the eliminators have a one use double tap to kill any mayors, even if protected. And i voted on Phatt because he did it first. Literally no other reason. I was responding to each post in order. interesting. i voted for phat before i saw your vote on phatt. I did not change my vote when i saw that others had voted for him before me, but your words have no cause in making me vote for him. And then she suggested to that Kandra that they should contact Phattamer. and then that Kandra revealed that they were suspicious of phatt and stick both, and heavily suspects that they are both eliminators, and is planning on lynching stick next cycle, should phatt be an eliminator. (Hi, TrellVin the Kandra here) Currently I'm 1 for two for making PM's with other Kandra. and that kandra is in contact with another kandra. I'm willing to bet that between 1 in 3 and 1 in 1 of players are kandra, which is why i'm fine with stating I'm a kandra.- 313 replies

Long Game 31: A World Without Vin
Jo and the Bush replied to Conquestor's topic in Sanderson Elimination
As i said when i signed up, not going to be very active, and when i am, it'll probably be like this: just quoting posts and commenting on them. I have no intent to take notes for this game. Note that any and all of These Quotes may have chunks cut out of them. I'm only going to quote things I'm actually responding to. I will also be assigning each post i respond to a negative/positive score, negative being eliminator vibes, and positive being village vibes, so that i can just reference my last post to remind myself what my suspicions are. You're misinterpreting the Contribution Crusade. It is not "Punish inactivity, and ignore the active." It is "If you do not suspect any active players, lynch an inactive instead." Sure, lynching inactives would keep the game talkative, but it would also leave all the active eliminators relatively untouched. And Poke votes, especially as you are using them, are completely useless. Vote to lynch, or don't vote at all. This post is a classic Len post. Alignment Non Indicative. +/-0 (Now a -1, see my response to Orlok's quote) "Look, i'm active, don't bother to vote on me, cause I'm active!" Why did you vote Mage over the other people who hadn't posted? Non indicative. 0 :Face_palm: Yay, you got Silver to post! but he said nothing. Keep the vote on him, until he offers opinions that can be analysed. Could be poking an inactive teammate (Silver) to get him to come to a doc? -1 Wasn't even a vote, just a mention. 0 Suggest something to discuss then. Put forward a plan, even if it's a crappy plan with no chance of success, it will spark discussion. -1 I agree completely. If you dare a Kandra though, make sure both of your contacts know who the other are, so we at least have someone to look at more closely if you end up dead. Kandra talking to everyone is good for eliminators who want to hunt them, and for village trying to organize. 0 Don't stockpile metals unless you can be reasonably certain you're stockpile person is not only village, but not a half skaa. so, only stockpile metals if someone proves they are Preservation. -1 This has been bugging me for a couple of game now, and I've finally figured out why. What does it matter how many eliminators there are? We're not going to be able to guess the number with any certainty. We'll find out after we've killed them all. until then, it's good enough that we remember they can convert. I'm not going to bother with that discussion anymore. (I will happily bother with a discussion of the number of Half Skaa, because that's something really important) Does this mean a metallurgist could go around figuring out who is and isn't a misting by just randomly tossing metal vials around and seeing which arrive? Better Question, can the metalurgist only give the right metal to a misting? If so, give two random types to each person. if they can receive both, you've found either TLR or Kelsier. rendered defunct by a future clarification. Ah, glad you're back Orlok. You're so much more eloquent then me. +1, and changing my original 0 on Len's post to a -1 phattemer. Doing nothing encourages more nothing. If you agree with Orlok, toss a vote on Len to give him more motivation to post. Don't sit back and lurk. -2 "It's an easy thing for Elims to kill inactives, and just stay quiet themselves." Can you clarify that? I agree with the rest of your post, but that statement just confuses me. Did you mean it's easy to kill actives and hide among the inactives? or did you actually mean what you said, that they're killing the true inactives, and pretending to also be inactive? +1 Would red this, but already red'd phatt. Rusting vote Hemashot. Encourage discussion. don't sit there passively, stating that you are here. read the rules, and suggest a plan for a role if you have no suspicion, but don't say "I agree, please talk more so i don't have to yet." -2 This^ This is good. +1 That is a much better way to do early votes, though i would still refuse to refer to them as poke votes, as it implies you'll remove the vote no matter the answer. I agree, but why do you think that Straw? 0 Translation: I will be active once the game's more exciting. Please don't just make one sentence posts unless they're in blue text sayiing why you're not posting, but giving a time when you will post. 0 Should we be revealing that? I honestly don't know. There's a good question to ask people to encourage activity. Should we reveal how many kandra PM's there are, thereby getting a better idea of the role distributions? Or should we keep our connections secret? -1 for just asking to gather information ^ I agree with this, and with the example it sets. 0 Remember that not all roles are present. I would estimate Hazekiller as being one of the more likely to remove, and also one of the vig kills, since we kind of have ruin on our side, and he doensn't need vials/charges to kill. but overall, +1 (Also, just realized, Kelsier and another elim could doubletap a high value villager. Magestar ninja's me by 14 hours. +1 Let's not have our vigilantes who have limited kills target inactives. have them target people who they suspect, or who have gathered a lot of votes. Excellent point on the cost of the conversion, but also remember that there are metalurgists, so Kelsier could theoretically try to convert every player in the game. It's what i would do. try to convert, and then kill if they're unconvertable. +1 Oh, dang. Metalurgist, just stockpile all your vials. Your analysis reads as you forgetting that there are limited vials. Soother's and Rioter's, don't use your action just to announce you exist, it's a waste of a vial. And how do you expect the Tineye's to contact the killer? and how do you expect the tineye to contact the killer, and not get killed? The other roles, i have no opinion on your thoughts. Had you given different advice for tineyes, i likely would have put this at +1, but your tineye advice reads as heavily eliminator. -1 My vote on Phatt was ninja'd by 9 hours. +2 for this post, because he's hitting on all the ideas Villagers should be hitting on. Eh, don't see that as a good enough answer. If a bandwagon forms, just tell Elenion to knock it off. =P Though, if he's not involved, maybe look at why it formed. 0 I would like to point out that the lord ruler isn't part skaa. Elbereth made that rule clarification to prevent the Lord ruler from proving his role, and then turning into a mayor. My Final tally for who i trust and suspect at the moment: Elenion, _stick_, Phattemer, and Hemalurgic Head shot are at -2 Orlok and Randuir are at +1 Magestar and Amanuensis are at +2. All else are at neutral reads- 313 replies

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Jo and the Bush replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Mages was chosen to be the mistborn specifically because he had the lowest 'Lynched as an Eliminator' stats. Being first was coincidental. Lopen and Bugsy were both nearly chosen as well, due to their 'Eliminator survival' stats, but Mage edged them out.- 360 replies

Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Jo and the Bush replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Mage weeps as he kills, controlled by Ruin to destroy all life, without free will, without life, all destroyed, by Ruin controlled, killing the weeping Mage. Mage sat in the empty room, leaned up against the wall, like a puppet with no strings, abandoned. He thought of nothing, saw nothing, felt nothing. His mind was empty, broken and destroyed by the atrocities he had committed, and had reveled in. In the rare moments when God was elsewhere, puppeteering other toys, Mage liked to sit and enjoy the quiet cleanliness of the room. No blood, no screams. No mad joy. A presence settled in his mind, and Mage grinned a great bloody grin. God was back, and so was happiness. He stood, and stretched, feeling the muscles pull against the 6 spikes in his chest. He cracked his neck, enjoying the grating of his spine against the lynchpin spike in his neck. He growled softly, anticipating the upcoming hunt. “Who?” Luckless Gibbs’ luck has run out. Mage grinned, and flared Steel and Pewter. He pushed hard, breaking through the wooden walls of the building, and soaring out into the misty air. The Mist shied away from him in fear, fleeing away, like a dog before it’s master. He reached out with Steelsight, finding anchors, and pushing to stay aloft. He flared Tin, and twisted midair, scanning the city below. Only a few people were left in the streets, scuttling like rats from doorway to doorway. With hundreds being executed by the king each day, and more being slaughtered in the night, no one wanted to be out during the Misting Hour. Mage looked northward, knowing that God knew where Gibbs was. He pushed off the anchor behind him, continually flaring his reserves. Zinc, to anger the citizens below, whipping them into causing all sorts of damage to the city, Brass, to sooth away thoughts of self Preservation, or love. Bronze, to look for more donor for his power, Pewter and TIn to navigate, Iron and Steel to fly. No one in this wretched city had as much power as he did. He was Magestar, god amongst men. He landed on a rooftop, crouching to survey the street below. Gibbs was hurrying along, hefting his metallic suitcase beside him. Whatever the case was, it barely registered in his Steelsight. Almost like a spike, but it felt different. No matter. Whatever it was, it was no match for a Mistborn. He flared his metals back to life inside of him, and leapt off the roof. Luckless Gibbs hefted the suitcase, feeling it’s reserves. It had barely enough to win a dice game. He’d been storing Fortune all day, hoping it would be enough to survive whatever was coming. This city was a powder keg, about to explode, and he wasn’t the man to lighten the load. WIth so many skaa, and so little food, his best bet was to leave, and come back earlier. Perhaps before Vin was around? On impulses, he tapped a small amount of fortune, and immediately tripped, his face slamming into the pavement and breaking. At nearly the same time, something flew over him, right where he had been. A man windmilled his arms as he skidded to a stop on the street, then turned to face him, a rictus grin stretched across his face. He slowly stood, squeezing his broken nose. “Magestar?” “Gibbs. Luckless Gibbs.” Mage cocked his head. “Twinborn Gibbs? Or did you fake the Pewter dragging earlier?” “Faked it.” He raised the Chromium Suitcase before him. “And I’m not Luckless, not at the moment. Got plenty enough Luck to kill you.” A complete lie, and a bluff. “I don’t think you do Gibbs.” Mage lept into the air, shooting forward like a dog after a fox. Gibbs cursed, and tapped more fortune. Sidestepping and bending in just the right way to avoid the coinshot. He didn’t look back, choosing to flee instead, still tapping a small amount of fortune, just enough to give him an edge. Just enough to trip again. Magestar growled in anger as he once again flew overhead. But this time, Gibbs landed awkwardly, wrist hitting the hard paving stones at a bad angle. He squeaked in pain, dropping the suitcase. He reached out to grab it, But Mage corrected course midair, landing hard atop Gibbs’ wrist, breaking it even more. He howled in pain as Mage crouched down, grabbing his hair. “No more Luck Gibbs. Just die already.” Mage cocked his fist back, and swung. Mage stood, wiping the blood and brains off on the front of his tunic. He smiled at the corpse before him, the newest flower in the garden of the world. Destruction, carefully cultivated until it ripened into Death. An Orchestra of disaster, cutting through the world. Excellent. Penrod will be killing himself soon, all that is left for you to go East, and take control of the Hordes. Aid Marsh and the others in killing Yomen, and you will receive your eye spikes. Mage grinned wide, and pushed into the air, reveling in his power, feeling truly alive as he always did with Ruin by his side. Of course, he had to ignore the screams from deep inside, but that was easy to do, when you had God on your side. Well! That’s that! Congratulations to Magestar, the only Eliminator, in the entire game. He successfully killed 19 mistings, and an Elantrian. Admittedly, he had some help, what with Stick and Lopen killing people as well, and the village refusing to lynch Mage, except for Alv, who refused to stick to his hunches about Mage being the spiked Coinshot.=P But, overall, Mage did most of it by himself. Admittedly, i did make him a tad bit too powerful. 9 actions a cycle was ridiculous. Still. T’was a fun game to watch, and I hope everyone had fun. GM thoughts will arrive in a day or two, but some minor things i want to get out of the way now: PM’s should have been open, or at least less limited than just tineyes. Lurchers should not have been able to protect themselves. Every. Single. Lurcher. Protected. Themself. Every. Single. Night. Selfish people. Also, only the Spear of the Survivor and the Glowing sphere items could affect the game, and neither actually did. But anyway, activity analysis will also be forthcoming, in a day or two. For now, enjoy groaning at Mage, and enjoy Mage gleefully dancing through the bloodsoaked threads. Elim Doc Spec Doc Dead Doc Master Spreadsheet- 360 replies

Cycle 9: Once again, i don’t have time to do a writeup. I’ve had a final writeup prepared since before the game started, so the endgame will have a writeup, but I don’t have any free time lately, and that’s not looking to change any time in the next three weeks. Mid-Range Game 20: With Ruin Beside Us
Jo and the Bush replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Cycle 7: Leads to Unity in Death “Sticks and stones may break their bones, but with Grass, I can break their skulls as well!” The self styled Ruin cackled to himself as he beheld the items he had gathered through the past week. Pile of stones, bushels of grass, and, whatever the word for a group of sticks was, were carefully laid out on his workshop floor. He had already made a Primitive sling from some of them, but he was certain that he could make a suit of Primitive Power armor as well, to be worn by that Koloss that kept following him. The Koloss in question crouched next to Ruin, following along as he tied sticks to each other with strands of Grass. The Koloss had appeared behind him several nights back, and while at first he had been terrified, he gradually began to realize that the koloss was just watching him, no doubt realizing that he was ruin, master of all Koloss, Kandra and Inquisitors, all of which were definitely present in Luthadel, he was certain. He just needed to find them. “Sticks?” Questioned the Koloss. “Weapon or food?” “Weapon” Ruin assured the simpleton. According to his calculations, he just needed three more of each of Rocks, sticks, and grass, and the Armor would be complete. With that, and the Koloss, he could conquer Luthadel! The Koloss abruptly stood, moving quickly, and with determination, both of which were different than it’s previous behavior. Ruin scrambled to his feet, knocking some of the sticks askew, and followed as the Koloss exited the house, it’s head breaking through the short doorframe. “Koloss?” It didn’t react to his words, continuing to walk down the street, as if on a mission. Ruin continued to follow, but began to attract a crowd as he did so. His eyes flickered from side to side, as he hurried after the longer legs of the Koloss. People we’re whispering, perhaps assuming that he was controlling the beast. And he was! He was pretty certain of that. Why else would it just follow him about? No one was having it follow him, right? Right? Heh, of course not. . . “Is that, uh, ‘Ruin’? Where did he get the koloss?” Ruin’s teeth gritted as he heard the air quotes around his name. He was Ruin, himself darn it! “Maybe he’s one of those spiked who are manipulating the King?” Another suggested. “We should totally kill Seixa, i mean, Ruin.” A third agreed. The Koloss began to pick up it’s pace. Before Ruin could do likewise, it bent its knees, and leapt, easily clearing a nearby roof. It landed on the roof, shaking the entire house, then leapt again, vanishing deeper into the city. Ruin, suddenly devoid of protection, froze. The citizens who had been muttering looked around at each other warily, as if hoping someone else would make the first move. Ruin did it for them. He turned and tried to dash for an alleyway, but was stopped by Vladek kneeing him in the gut. Rovan and Ayden grabbed him before he could recover, and slammed him against the wall. “We caught ourselves a spiked boys!” The hungry crowd cheered, and began to throw objects at the trapped Ruin. He howled, as rocks and stone bruised and battered him. Ayden and Rovan held him up for as long as they could, but eventually dropped him, cursing at the baddly aimed stones that occasionally hit them. Once the crowd had settled down, Luckless Gibbs approached, and set about cutting the clothes off the corpse, looking for the spikes that had to be on his body. After five tense minutes, he sighed, and shook his head. Drought was Lynched! He was a Citizen with Items: Primitive Sling, Rocks (20), Grass (20) and Sticks (20) and a Korathi Pendant!
