Mid-Range Game 39: For Science
Jo and the Bush replied to BrightnessRadiant's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey, if you robbed strikerEZ, could you PM me? I'm trying to confirm what happened overnight. I was apparently a third player to rob him, and got nothing from it. I won't reveal identities of you are willing to pm me about this matter. @BrightnessRadiant in what order do robberies happen? Is it first in first resolved?- 338 replies

Mid-Range Game 39: For Science
Jo and the Bush replied to BrightnessRadiant's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm voting for [Kynedath], specifically for this post: it doesn't read right to me. For one, I don't think the elims would really care if there's no D1 Lynch. Yes that's one less death, but it's also the swingiest, hardest to control lynch, and not having it means the next lynch is just as uninformed as this one should have been. Twibanu being the first one to cast a vote isn't indicative of either alignment. It's easy to justify making a vote. What you're doing is not voting, which you explain in a later post why you're not. It's not much, but it's the best I have.- 338 replies

Mid-Range Game 39: For Science
Jo and the Bush replied to BrightnessRadiant's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Why is my bag empty?" Doc Olny turned the bag out to demonstrate, just in case anyone was listening. "I packed a whole bunch of tech in this bag for this trip. I had my newest Tracker Pad integrated with First One's tech so that I could detect epics. With it, this mission would be a breeze." None of the other mercenaries hired by the Doctor seemed to be listening to him. Well they would regret their ignorance, they would! He would show them all what happened to those who ignored him! He reached into his bag and rummaged around, searching for his Sonic Arrows. "Wait, why is my bag inside out? And empty?" Right, before he punished them for ignoring him, he needed to punish them for stealing his stuff, which meant he needed to steal all his stuff back, or just build new stuff. He pursed his lips and looked around. Newcago was a dark city, full of imposingly shiny structures. Perfect ambiance for his work honestly. But where could he find the items he needed? "Hey jerks! I need someone to go make a supply run! I'll pay $147 for 3 pounds of laser diodes, and another $40 per intact computer tower you bring me!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi guys! It's been a long time since I've played Mafia, so forgive me if I'm slow on the uptake. I don't know how much has changed since whenever it was I last actively played. The only thought I have right now is that we should keep track of how many strongboxes get bought, as it will probably give us a clue as to how many items are already in play. @BrightnessRadiant am I allowed to purchase items this turn with the points I would possibly be receiving?- 338 replies

Nightfall: ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ Senator Gaius shivered as his shoveled documents, warrants, ledgers and even clothes into the fireplace. It wouldn’t be enough. Too much of the Senate believed he had sold out the Governor, which he had, even though they didn’t have any evidence against him. He hadn’t had enough time to pin it all on Senator Glacior, put he still had an ace up his sleeve. Constable-General Altea Meza had been promoted because of him. She owed him everything. He sat and watched as everything burned, waiting for her to arrive. He didn’t have much money left, but he hoped it would be enough to extend her Loyalty for just a bit longer. The fire was almost down to embers when the door opened and Altea strolled in. “Heya boss. Any last minute requests?” Gaius poked through the embers, making sure nothing survived the blaze. “Yes. I’m prepared to pay you 5 boxings to smuggle me out of the Senate.” He tossed his purse to her. She smirked and made no move as the purse bounced off her and landed on the floor. “5 Boxings Gaius? Is that what you are down to?” She stepped forward, letting her baton slide from her belt to her hand. “The last ally of the infamous Binks. The last apprentice of the great Alron. The last Senator to die this day.” Gaius stepped back and stared in horror at the Baton. It had, stuff, on it. He couldn’t even say what it was. Brown and red coated it. “You can’t just throw away everything we’ve worked for Altea! We’ve come so far together! You owe me! I already paid you earlier to protect my life!” She laughed, a high maniacal laugh that went soft and loud as she walked up to him. “I don’t owe you a thing Gaius.” She took a final step forward and jammed her baton against his throat. He gripped the baton with both hands and pushed desperately, but couldn’t move her an inch. “I was never loyal to anything but money. Goodbye Gaius.” —- Emperor Sheev stepped down from the balcony, ignoring the cheers, boos, and shouts coming from the crowd. Two Pewter-arms loyal to Altea stepped up behind him, following him to ensure his safety. Altea herself was leaning against the wall, smirking at him. “Nice speech Emperor. Pretty clever blaming everyone’s death on Yosef. So believable that he would murder his best friend and everyone who supported him.” He walked past her, and once she fell into step behind him, replied. “The media always painted him as violent with a tendency for overkill. The people will believe he was unstable enough to do it, and most of the ones who knew otherwise are already dead. In fact, I’d say the only one who could prove otherwise is you.” He stopped and turned to face her. As always, she was smirking. “General Altea, do you plan to depose me? Take control yourself?” “Of course not. Do all the paperwork myself? Do as you wish Sheev. Just keep me in Luxury, and I’ll keep you in power.” He didn’t trust her. As far as he knew, every single person who had trusted her had been betrayed and murdered by her. Other than the ones he himself had killed before she got the chance. “Good. We understand each other.” He turned back, and continued away. There were more things to be done, and it would take Harmony themself to stop him now. ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ Emperor Sheev (Drake Marshmallow) was Corrupt! He slew Fifth Scholar and claimed his boxings, he slew Devotary and claimed her Boxings, he bribed his own vote to be exactly where he would get the most boxings in each and every lynch! Turn 8: Silence in the Senate ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ They came for Annie in the middle of the night, as she was organizing Onde's desk. A banging at the door. "Annie Botaneaux, you are under arrest for corruption! You have 10 seconds to come peacefully with us!" Annie froze. How -- what -- They started counting. But -- "I-I haven't done anything," Annie said. "I'm innocent." The door crashed forwards, and two angry-looking constables entered the room. "Hands up! Drop what you're holding. Miss Botaneaux, you are under arrest for corruption. Come with us now before you're charged with resisting arrest too." Annie raised her hands into the air, shaking. "I'm just the Senator's aide! If-if you just let me write to Se-senator Onde, he, he can prove that I haven't done anything!" They clapped handcuffs around her and shoved her out into the streets in bewildered confusion. A few thousand miles away from the seat of power in Elendel, a portly man watched the ocean on his back porch. He leaned back in his chair, feet up on the desk, admiring the jewel-blue waves lapping at the shore. He sipped appreciatively at his wine, a gift from a fellow Senator. By the Survivor, this was the life. Mike Onde sighed contentedly. A young man trotted up to him. "Mister, I got a message for you, from some Miss Botaneaux or other. It's marked urgent." Mike cast a dismissive glance at the man. His dirty, scrawny frame and ragged clothes told Mike all he needed to know. "Put it here, boy." The man took out the letter, but instead of placing it on the desk like Mike had ordered, he held it, looking expectant. Mike grumbled and tossed a boxing at him. "More'n you deserve. Now scram!" The young man placed the letter on Mike's desk, then left. Mike looked at the letter that Annie had sent him. No doubt it would be filled with more anxious missives about this vote or that, asking how he wanted to vote on the tariffs for New Seran or what he thought of mandating railings on walkways for construction workers. Useless stuff that he could get to tomorrow. Or the day after that. Come to think of it, that was a good idea. Mike was here for vacation. He'd get around to reading that letter next week. After all, it couldn't be anything important. ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ Senator Diez (Elandera) was Lynched! She was Sentimental! Senator Mike Onde (Arraenae) was Lynched! In addition, if you look at the OP of turn 6, xxGaea now has TWO ledgers for sale. I apologize for any mistakes I have made, and will be correcting and pointing out which ones I can. Also, I will only be online for another 3ish, 4ish hours. After that, I will likely be offline until about 6 hours pre-rollover tommorow. Please ask any questions that you have now.
