  1. Yeah, Megan is definitely more Sane. As for the 9/11 problem, I personally believe that what they did is horrible, But Gj, if you found a group of Demons who were terrorizing your people, and you had the chance to destroy them all at the cost of your life, would you do it? Because that's what they thought they were doing.
  2. But yeah, without proof, the best way to figure out alignment is with Circumstantial evidence, And Wilson is very good at finding That Evidence.
  3. The only way to get 'Proof' is for the seeker to seek them. If we operated on Proof alone, we have a very small chance. I've been trying to do the statistics, but I'm crap at math. Could somebody run the statistics for our chances of winning if we only kill people who have been seeked? Speaking of which, Wilson, Ash. Ooh! What play?
  4. Hm. Perhaps Calamity arrived in a 'cocoon' of power, which slowly opened up after a year, or maybe they assumed since it was a star, it would be further away and never got an accurate reading on him? Or maybe he cloaked himself somehow. Tell you what, I'll add that to my question list for friday.
  5. Rational by our standards or theirs? Not by ours, but by theirs in was. For them their Religion was their highest calling, so dying to further their religion was completely rational. But by our standards, it isn't rational.
  6. I think Trevor is Correct in his definition. Obliteration is definitely Sane. He's willing to sacrifice to achive what he believes to be right. (His rulership, his people) He has a powerful goal in mind, and he believes that the ends justify the means.
  7. High Epic is a World Wide term for super powerful Epics. PI is a David only term for Epics. Regalia did not have a PI, but was powerful enough to be considered a High Epic. Firefight has a PI, but isn't considered a High Epic. And BlackWave's crew is called the Pirates or the Tidebreakers.
  8. It's more that Prof is willing to rush off, since he's confident he can survive, but at the same time plans to make sure the others survive as well. If he was a lone-gunman, there would be a lot more attacks of opportunity.
  9. My personal headcannon is that his brightness matches the amount of power he has left. The more epics he makes, the dimmer he becomes. So before the collapse they would have needed to send out probes to get more details, and by the time they did, Society was in collapse, NASA was gone. Only the few Backyard Astronomers and Scientists who had powerful telescopes could see him. What bugs me about the situation is that Prof knew about it, and didn't tell the Reckoners.
  10. I'm actually less and less certain about Wilson. Her Shock at Ostrich has the same vibes of her apology to me after she killed me in Alvron's Epic Game. And seeing as she was one of the few who knew Eol's Role, wouldn't it be logical that she would be the betrayer?
  11. Would Funtimes Qualify for Beware the Silly Ones?
  12. I'm back BTW. I spent yesterday skimming the game and catching up on Oregon, but I should be able to be helpful again tomorrow.
  13. Page 186: It could be that is his weakness, but he did it after becoming a Racketeer because he knew it was his weakness, but that's a bit far-fetched. EDIT: Auto-Correct changed Reckoner to Racketeer. I like it.
  14. Welcome back Tulir. I haven't actually used Mundivore yet, so he's unaffected. And yeah, they do write a lot. I still haven't caught up. To all my Australian friends. I have a church assignment to find one interesting fact about Australia. Do any of you have any insane suggestions?
  15. Hey guys! I'm back. Could I also get on the Firefight PM? I finished that about two hours ago.
  16. In Steelheart, David figures out that Firefight is an illusionist due to a series of Pictures of Firefight, one of which Firefight disappeared because the illusionist lost concentration. But If Firefight isn't an illusion, is an actual Epic from a different universe, how does that work?
  17. Definitely Jim Butcher:
  18. When David tests her gun, it specifically mentions hitting the Wall of the burning building. It won't let me copy/paste from the book, so here's a picture.
  19. When the hardest thing you've ever done is not read the 17th Shard for 4 days.
  20. Sorry, I was offline for the past four days. I might do that tomorrow, if I've gotten caught up on the rest of the site.
  21. I'm Back!

  22. Taking an Enforced Hiatus until Saturday.

  23. Hey guys, just posting to say sorry, but I won't be able to post or even read until Saturday, since I have 2 failing grades I need to get up. Sorry.
  24. Right, no time to really read or analyze, just getting on to say that I won't be back on until this Saturday, since I have two failing grades that I need to get up. feel free to kill me to prove Coinshottyness.
  25. Correct Upvote for you! Granted. It's a root beer that's been dyed Orange. I wish for the Ability to speak Eldritch Languages.
