  1. Burnt Spaghetti gets it again.
  2. Ha! 2 correct theories! Oh Shards, I can't wait to read this on Saturday. Why do I have to wait until Saturday!?
  3. Oh right, I forgot the Szeth vs. Alcatraz vote.
  4. I'm going to meta-vote this. Whoever wins this will be fighting against Vin, who I want to lose since Susebron was killed by her. I think that Nightblood would be more popular against her, so I vote for Him. NIGHTBLOOD FOR THE WIN!
  5. Black ****. The title was half right. You need the second word now.
  6. Nightblood could make Prof kill himself though. Prof is genuinely Evil, just good at repressing it.
  7. Thirdgen is half right. But no. I already did that.
  8. Nope. This is a manga.
  9. Nope. This series is named after the Ex-assasin. It was first published in a magazine.
  10. Alcatraz's existence is a very effective weapon. Everything used as a weapon against him automatically breaks. He doesn't need help to survive, and he has a large array of lenses which can grant a wide variety of powers.
  11. Incompetantly awesome. He once beat a soldier by punching himself in the face. He mainly relies on others to fight for him while he comes up with clever plans. He destroyed a Unbreakable Crystin sword by picking it up. At one point, he got pissed enough and destroyed several as armies. I don't think he can limit people's powers though. Szeth would.be able.to lash just fine, unles Alcatraz destroys Gravity.
  12. which is kinda my point. I think that using physical speed would still allow forsome typeof mental speedup as well. Also, Multiple spikes allows Ruin to have more influence. Not control. There are several theories that part of Ruin is seperate from Harmony, in order to fix the imbalance of their powers.
  13. Well Crystin swords are said to be unbreakable, and he broke one of those.
  14. Lame. I'll let someone else right up that particular contest. As for Szeth vs. Alcatraz. . . Man. I don't know. I'm going to vote for Alcatraz for now.
  15. Some clarifications: The Inactivity period for Shards is 72 hours. if you go three days without posting/investing or taking an action, I will remove your shard from you. If dominion attempts to redirect a nonexistent power to someone, He will instead redirect a random action. I have not implied anything about Karlin's alignment. Nah. That was just a bunch of shards. I was tempted to include Odium in there as well. That is possible.
  16. Yet more proof that all the shards come in pairs! Autonomy is pretty obviously Dominion's Opposite.
  17. Night Eleven: Dreams of Power Karlin Dreamed. In his dream, he was a Mighty Warrior, vanquishing foe after foe, saving world after world. In his Dream, he was a Wise Sage, solving problem after Problem, creating solution after solution. In his Dream, he was a Powerful God, creating planet after planet, destroying life after life. The dream changed. Everything darkened. The sky blackened. The people’s smiles turned to leers. Life changed from Beautiful to Terrible. Hatred called for him to use it. The dream changed again. The darkness left him, fled him, abandoned him. Karlin dreamed, no longer tainted by Hatred. They wove a mighty Power, pouring Investiture from all their Shards into the crafting. A Power that would destroy Sheon Idris. They may not be able to find him, but they could still kill him. Preservation poured Power in. The power to stop him, preserve him as he was, make it so that he couldn’t resist their blow. Cultivation poured Power in. The power to strengthen, increase her bretheren’s power, make it so that he could not stop them. Endowment poured Power in. The power to find him, search him out, make it so that he could not hide form them. Dominion poured Power in. The power to control, direct the Power, make it so that it would target him. Ruin Took the power, it Strengthened him, showed him where Sheon hid, directed him to his Target. He released the power in one mighty surge of Destruction. The shards watched as their combined power flew through the realms, hunting down their assumed foe. It struck like a serpent. All of them felt it hit, expending itself against the power of Sheon Idris. All of them felt it falter, and fail. All of them felt doubt worm into their minds. How could Sheon have survived such a blow? And what would he do in retaliation? Votes: Seonid(4) Kipper, Clanky, Dow, STINK Clanky(1): Seonid Surgebound Rainspren has been declared Inactive! His shard has been given to Endowment. He is still alive. Seonid Survived! I really have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote this. Not sure how I feel about it.
  18. The steelrunner in the Preview chapters managed to position themself in four different places, take aim, and fire fast enough that all four bullets made one sound. You'd need a lot more than sped up reflexes for that. (Admittedly, they could have multiple spikes.)
  19. Does anyone else on the 17th Shard read the Webcomic Manly Guys doing Manly Things? You don't? Go do it. It's a weekly updated Webcomic about a Temp agency for all the 'Manly' Video game Characters out there, run by a Time-Traveling Navy SEAL from the Future. I really want to talk with people about it. It's hilarious, and the current arc has had me in stitches for the past month. If you're not sure you want to read it, read this first:
  20. How does that work? Who are you assigning to who? I mean, I suppose Butler could be the ex-assasin, and Holly could be the 'child' though she'd take offense at that, (Though when they went back in time, (Which explains the temporal bit) she does become a child i suppose) But who did you think the detective was? No. It's not Artemis Fowl.
  21. First off, let's assume that Steelrunners automatically speed their minds up as well as their body, otherwise they would be constantly crashing into things. Now let's take a Steelrunner/Pulser Twinborn. (Feruchemical!Steel, Allomantic!Cadmium.) The Twinborn pops up a Cadmium bubble, slowing down everyone around her, but then taps speed, returning herself to normal speed when compared to people outside the bubble. You can now communicate with people outside the bubble, while everyone around you is frozen. Good for lots of things, such as defusing bombs, searching a person, getting outside help, and so on. Why do I bring this up? Because Marasi is a Pulser, and there is a Feruchemical!Steel Spike floating about. I'd bet that somehow, she ends up with it.
