Eyeballing the different mistborn charts!
Morderkaine replied to Phantom Monstrosity's topic in Mistborn
They are not. I added them for ease of reference and forgot to mention it. I have edited my post to include this. -
Eyeballing the different mistborn charts!
Morderkaine replied to Phantom Monstrosity's topic in Mistborn
Copied directly form the Table of Feruchemical Metals print. <edit>Forgot to mention: Allomantic quadrent names added by me for easy reference.</edit> note: the capitalisation of "Investiture" in reguards to nicrosil -
I can't decide if I've failed or not. I have completed my entire reread, but not until 4:30am today. After the official release but before general release. Either way I'm glad to have done it and can't wait to start A Memory Of Light this evening.

Free Legion Audiobook for a Limited Time
Morderkaine commented on Zas678's article in Brandon and Book News
You can get it in Canada as well. -
Finished TGH yesterday. When I read the end of chapter 10 with the Myrddraal spiked to the inn doors my first thought was "Inquisadraal, how freaking awesome would that be." My immediate second thought was "Are you mad man! That's not awesome it's absolutely terrifying; no force in the Cosmere or Randland could stop a beast like that."

Sign me up! I've been thinking about rereading the Wot and this may just be the push I need to get it done. Only question is which set of books to use. The old worn out ones that have been lent out and read many times over or the brand new ones I bought just to to sit on my shelf and look pretty.

Will Kelsier Show up in the second Mistborn Trilogy
Morderkaine replied to Aeshdan's topic in Mistborn
As of the end of HoA Sazed was able to remake their bodies but couldn't revive them. He expects that in time he will be able to revive them. -

We Need A Word For "Feruchemical Flaring"
Morderkaine replied to Deus Ex Biotica's topic in Mistborn
Crazy idea here. Why not look at alternative words for compounding, as in allomantically burning a feruchemical charge, instead? -
The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
Morderkaine replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Is spiritual DNA inherited the same as regular DNA? ie. Identical twins are born on Scadrial. One is a Seeker. Does this mean the other also must be: 1) An Allomancer? 2) A Misting? 3) A Seeker? If any is true, must they be equal in Allomantic strength? -
The biggest problem I see with this theory is the math: For simplicity's sake assume: TLR's actual age is 1020 years old, he uses his Atium Feruchemy to appear 20 years old, and Scadrial's days are the same length as ours. As much as I like the like the idea, it just doesn't seem plausible to me.

*emphasis added"Long since departed" seems to indicate to me that Honor has been dead for quite some time. Although, after reading your evidence, I am inclined to believe there's something special about the Shardbearer Kaladin killed. My personal opinion is that he was a Herald. I'm guessing Ishar. On a side note apparently Peter found this topic interesting enough to Tweet about. http://twitter.com/...670516039008257

The Allomancer Jak story has him fire three shots with one left over from a gun that was only loaded with three bullets. Should I assume this was the "old-timey" editors mistake as well? ps. This thing is great. I wish there was a full newspaper.

When Sazed ascended he changed the Koloss so that they bread true. No spikes required.

Thanks to the people over at Fantasy Faction we now have a (mostly) complete list of the main characters in The Stormlight Archive. About eight minutes into part one of the three part video interview Brandon lists all ten of the major view point characters for the series. Here is that list: Kaladin Dalinar Adolin Jasnah Shallan Navani Szeth Taravangian Taln Another Herald (unnamed, be he said we've met them)
-
Taln showing up seems like a pretty good candidate to me.

I don't have my books on me right now so I can't check but I'm sure WoA says duralumin is 96% aluminum and 4% copper.

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
Morderkaine replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I hate to double post but recent discussion on The Most Important Question You Will Ever Read has sparked my interest. Does the person being pierced in order to imbue a Hemalurgic spike have to die? ie. Could a Feruchemist taping a gold mind heal themselves fast enough that they wouldn't die but still have a spike driven completely through their heart, thus Hemalurgically imbuing it? If not, what about a Gold+Gold Twinborn? A full Mistborn Feruchemist (like TLR)? <edit> forgot one I feel like this one has already been answered but I can't remember what it was or where. Is there a limit to the amount of power that can be stored in a metalmind and, if so, is this limit related to the physical size of the metalmind, the abilities of the Feruchemist, something else entirely, or a combination of these factors? -
The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
Morderkaine replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I like this question, as it would tell us how Fjorden would create an amplifier. Maybe change the word "AonDor" to "magics on Sel." Or just the Dor, since we know it can be focused/amplified and also ask if other Sel magics (Dakhor monks in particular) use/are powered by the Dor or by something else. -

Dalinar's visions only come during a Highstorm. There are no Highstorms in Shinovar. Therefor: if Dalinar went to Shinovar he would no longer get visions? Ooh, ooh, ooh. If the Highstorms and spren are connected, and Dalinar's visions are linked to the Highstorms. Then, Dalinar's Vision's are caused by spren?
