  1. Look, a ghost! It's probably some sort of alien. As a side note, your signature could do with an update.
  2. Oh look, I'm an ardent now. I must go and help people with their Glories and Callings. Edit: Not anymore. Now I need to go rob the Lord Ruler.
  3. There's a bit of a priority list. A very short list.
  4. Er, I waved a sonic screwdriver at him, muttered something about it not working on wood, and left to meet with Gamma, the mysterious figure, and the seeker.
  5. See the hero of ancient birth On his arms he holds the earth His thought is just not unkind Harmony holds us all within his mind I actually made a key last night because it seemed simple and no one else had done so, but didn't get around to translating it because I had stuff to do. I literally spent 10 minutes on the last line before realizing it was "within" and not "with in."
  6. As far as I know, in one of the previous two games Meta was asked the same question and said that they would show up as smoked. I'm assuming Peng will do the same thing.
  7. Would someone mind getting rid of the downvote on Gamma's post? I was going for the upvote button, but my touchscreen said I hit downvote.
  8. Well then, if we are to cast the blame far and wide I would vote for Mac. Let us see what becomes of this. Next time I am definitely thinking up a story ahead of time. I'm getting stuck on what to post.
  9. I'm on my phone and don't feel like looking for it, but what about the people that voted for Mabi once it looked like Erendi might be lynched?
  10. Selvar walks up to the gravesite. "Farewell, my once friend, well... acquaintance, well... more like I know him on sight. May your rest be unwell and fraught with danger." Edit: @Macen, if it's like the previous games, they would show up as smoked.
  11. Very well then, the day is almost finished and I will once again vote for Asp. On a completely unrelated note, every time I use the colour tags I'm thinking about how it's not properly spelled.
  12. Arrghhh. Everything seemed so clear, and now Asp is muddying the waters. As it stands right now, I think I'll keep my vote on him, but I'll keep a close watch on what's going on, and if he can put together a good defense I might change my vote. Edit: I've decided to retract my vote for now, but I would like to know what time the day ends, so that I won't miss my chance to vote.
  13. I love the first tineye message. We seem to be jumping on a bandwagon again, after all that's been said about the folly of doing so. However, chances are low that Gamma is evil again, and I doubt that the spiked would be willing to throw away one of their own so early in the game just to get rid of someone, especially after they've already lost one. So, with that in mind I'm also voting Asp.
  14. Selvar walks past Dyrii, pausing for a moment before moving on. "Hmm... it appears that his cranium had a sudden and unfriendly encounter with a blunt object. I wonder why he's still lying here. Undertaker! We have need of your services." If I remember correctly, he died of a hit to the head, and I think he hasn't been cleaned up yet. As for my slight inactivity, I've only got my phone for internet connectivity, and I was sidetracked yesterday by all the stuff in the WoR forum. I also spent an hour doing some frequency analysis on the chapter 84 epigraph. I got nowhere, though. I'll abstain from voting until later this day, as I don't have any sort of feel for whether or not anyone is suspicious yet. I should probably reread the thread, looking for more hints in posts since the game started.
  15. It's been mentioned before, but my favorite moment is in my signature.
  16. Looking somewhat groggy, Selvar makes a sudden appearance by the body. "My apologies for my absence, I had barricaded myself into my house from the moment it became clear that Cyrus would have benefited from a meeting with the local undertaker. It was also a wonderful way to get some uninterrupted time to my self. You see, I had recently seen some new words around, brilliant words, words that positively glowed. I presumed to complete my study of these words before immersing myself in the common world." Selvar walks towards the body and waves a metallic looking cylinder over it before hitting the device on his hand and muttering to himself, "I really need to get Lents to fix this thing." After putting it away, he loudly proclaims, I can not see why my services were required, since I am fairly certain most of us agree on what killed him. A dagger through the chest tends to do that quite efficiently. Putting all that aside, we should give the man the respect he deserves with a prompt burial." Well, I'm back. I was pretty much avoiding the forums until I had read Words of Radiance, and that's done with now. I'll probably reread, but now I can spare the time to use the forums, and without worrying about spoilers either. For now, good night! Edit: What in Harmony's name happened to my post? Let's just remove the HTML tags...
  17. If it takes too much longer I might pull a Kabsal and start poisioning... erm... flouring everybody's bread. My copy was only just shipped today, and Canada Post doesn't even have it yet. I also just noticed that the WoR Hardcover on Amazon.ca is around two dollars cheaper than Amazon.com.
  18. After a bit more thought, I've decided to return it. Thanks for your opinion.
  19. Town hall, I believe. Oh, and Forage, you say your shop is bigger on the inside? Yes, my character has delusions of grandeur. I couldn't decide on an occupation, and then I saw my Doctor Who folder on my desktop.
  20. I really hope Brandon doesn't kill Renarin, because I'm worried that he'll be too badly injured to write afterwards.
  21. So, I recently ordered a Hardcover copy of WoK from Amazon, and after receiving it yesterday noticed there was some damage along the bottom. On the inside it looks somewhat like this all along the ripped portion: (Sorry for the bad quality, I had to use my laptop's webcam) The ripped part is between pages 725 and 892. Anyhow, I'd like opinions on whether or not to return it. I'm kind of on the fence right now because I'm not sure if I want to go to the bother of returning it and buying a new copy, because the damage isn't that bad, but I'd kind of like one in pristine condition.
  22. I'm going to be laughing maniacally from the moment I get the notice that my copy of WoR has shipped. For that matter, I was already laughing when I got my new hardcover copy of WoK yesterday because I'm anticipating WoR so much. Then I was saddened because it was damaged.
  23. "Hot-headed youngster!" Selvar said as he watched Clan leave. "Would it not work much better to calmly explain your reasonings and then see what happens?" Mulling over possibilities, he left the town hall and started on his way home. As he was straightening the bow tie he'd seen in Forage's shop and had recently taken to wearing, he came across a town census nailed to the gallows. "Town Doctor!" he thought indignantly, "I am nothing so common as that." Before continuing home, he quickly tried erasing the word town. When that didn't work he remembered that he'd seen some paint a short while ago, and used that to replace "town" with "The." Satisfied with the paper now, he went home.
  24. The short version is that Hoid shows up in every Cosmere book so far (Elantris, Mistborn trilogy, Alloy of Law, Warbreaker, Way of Kings and Emperor's Soul) and his origin story will take place before any of the currently published books. It could very well be that he knew the heralds back when they were still fighting the desolations. If you want more info on him, here's a link to the wiki page on him: http://coppermind.net/wiki/Hoid As for Sigzil I believe that Brandon has said that he is from the Way of Kings planet, Roshar.
  25. Selvar wanders into Bartson's tavern, looking somewhat dazed. "Did anyone see that man? I was just coming here when something hit my head. Next thing I know it's tomorrow... er... today." I wish I could be a bit more active in this thread, but my phone is currently in the process of dying, and my new one hasn't arrived yet. It doesn't help that I've never done any sort of RP before, and that writing wasn't my strong point when I was in school. Also, nice signature, Joe. I was the guy that said pink is free.
