  1. Sanderson has said specifically that Kelsier was not spiked, so the fact that he told to Vin to keep the earring in was completely coincidental: http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kw=spiked (<-- interview question #2) Rally to the Confederate Flag. All hail practical jokes!!
  2. Well, damnation, I hope she's not the lady for Kaladin. I'm pulling for Kaladin and Shallan (two major characters, around the same age, opposite genders? Yes.). Also, it would be full-circle redemption against his hate for light-eyes. Couple that with the fact that Shallan's family isn't high-ranking anyway. I see it happening. Maybe I'm just hopeful
  3. Okay, so I was reading Warbreaker, and I come to chapter 32. Hoid shows up and starts telling stories about the history of Hallandren: http://brandonsanderson.com/warbreaker-chapter-thirty-two/ He brings up a guy from a really long time ago named Kalad: Is there a possible connection here? On the back of The Way of Kings paperback cover it says regarding the "four whom we watch" that "One of them will destroy us" implying that one of them could turn evil or something. We know that it's possible for people to planet hop (Hoid, of course, but also Galladon from Elantris is in the Way of Kings interlude about Ishikk), and it's possible that Warbreaker takes place in a much later time than the Way of Kings. Also, this Kalad is a "Returned" which bears some resemblance to the fact that What do you all think? Is this just coincidence?
  4. Whoa, Hawaii, that's awesome.Yeah, I've passed through Warrenton before
  5. Hey, thanks!! (so glad there's someone else out there who's actually read Psyren ) Let me return the favor (not that you need it ) Thanks, it's concept art from Blade&Soul: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-16/bs-character-art2.html I made this board go way off topic, sorry
  6. Yeah, I'm near Roanoke. Hmmm, okay, thanks for answering. I didn't know they were called Ghostbloods . Yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
  7. Anyone else from VA, anyone? Anyway, does Shallan have a Shardblade?? I just came across this little quote while rereading the book that I must have inexplicably skipped first time through because I did not remember it at all: Obviously, that sounds like a Shardblade. And this seems to imply, with "the fruit of her sin," that she obtained it from Does anyone have any theories on who he might be and who he was involved with? How did he come across both a Shardblade and a Soulcaster, and still be of such low ranking? It was mentioned that the men he was apparently involved with had strange diamond tattoos on their hands. Could they be related to those creatures Shallan (and supposedly Jasnah) sees? I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas.
  8. Oh, thanks you!
  9. Do we know that Shardblades have spren in them? I wasn't aware of this, that's why I'm asking. Maybe Syl dislikes Shardblades because they don't contain spren. I guess we would need to know what spren are first. Are they connected to one - or several - of the Shards? Probably. Honor or Cultivation in particular. Maybe. If they're connected to Honor, it kinda reminds me of Mistborn SPOILER how the mists are Preservation's body. SPOILER But anyway, maybe Syl dislikes Shardblades because they don't contain spren, which might mean that they're connected to Odium somehow. Of course, if there is definite proof that Shardblades contain spren, that whole rabble goes down the drain
  10. Holy crap, this is legitimately exactly how I pictured Dalinar. Awesome job. Love it
  11. Whoa, wait a second. This is kind of pinpricking, but I just want to get it straight. I'm pretty sure Vin did not Snap at birth. As far as I'm aware, I thought it said somewhere that no one was really sure when Vin Snapped because her life had had so many traumatic points. The first traumatic event in Vin's life we know of is when her freako mom Spiked her and killed her sister. Also, someone probably already said this, but Sazed did not "swap" cadmium and bendalloy with atium and malatium. Atium and malatium were mistakenly placed in the Allomantic table as they are not from Scadrial. That's why when you include those (lerasium included) in the list of Allomantic metals, you get 19, not 16. They were not supposed to be in the table in the first place.
