  1. Rab glares at Seixa, willing him not to antagonize the Alliance. I would much rather we didn't start off as being in opposition to The Alliance. Being strong armed in have been preferable to an inter-guild incident.
  2. Bother, I kept reading over the part of the spinner role which says it goes through Koloss-blooded. I reckon this is probable. A pair of eliminators, one being a pulser could have also killed him, but I think that is unlikely. More on that later. We could only do that if we had 2 pulsers, and I'm not sure we do. You'd need two, because they'd need to alternate, giving the other time to recharge. Also, I don't think either of them can take actions this turn. More on that later. I'm felt like Emerald wasn't a lawman, though not sure after his last post. Well. Ultimately, if spencer dies, we find out an eliminator - if he dies and is revealed to be an eliminator, well, we've taken one out. Conversely, if he is revealed to be a scoundrel tineye, then spencers comments will have been verified and we'll know with certainty that Joe is an eliminator. Before the end of cycle, I think I'm going try think that option through, and post something for the benefit of whoever survives this cycle. I didn't want to bring this up earlier, because I felt it might be detrimental in my attempt to inspire some more discussion, but it's also important knowledge that needs to be put out there, so I'm saying it now, so there's still plenty of time to discuss. If Emerald is telling the truth about being pulsed, then there were in fact 2 pulsers who used their ability last cycle. This would mean there are 4 players without votes. Pulsers, if you were scoundrels, seriously bad timing/aiming. If you were eliminators, well played. Unless there's a third pulser who happens to be scoundrel, I don't think there are any pulsers free this cycle, Joe. EDIT: Thus far, we have yet to get votes from Alvron, Surgebound, Ostrich or Clanky. Anyone who votes, and has their vote not show up is either a pulser or was pulsed. This would seem to imply (at least to my mind) that our two pulsers are in those 4. I think I trust Clanky for the moment, so I'm thinking it could be Surgbound & Ostrich maybe. (Note that I've been presuming that the lawmen got both pulsers, and that they've plotted out an endgame that started from last cycles actions). Ostrich hasn't posted here since Cycle 1, is the other thing to note. EDIT 2: Winter, thoughts on Jain (Lightsworn Panda)? Would you agree with Joe's sentiments? Also, peoples thoughts on Feligon's last post?
  3. In all honesty, I do not know how to react to this right now. Spencer, you've waited till now to speak up. We have no reason to trust you, and we don't really have the time to verify you. We need information. Tell us everything you can. If you're truly a tineye, well you're not going be able to say anything that'll make it more likely you'll get killed, so anything you can tell us will be useful. What have you done in the game? Why haven't you posted before? Why now? Without answers, I don't think anyone can really trust you, at all. Edit: I hate being gloomy, but no one has talked me out of it yet. The way I see it, this cycle will most probably decide the fare of this game. I feel that unless an eliminator falls, this game is lost. Not only that, but I feel like the eliminators end game could have already started with the actions of last cycle. If my suspicions are correct, it makes it then vital that everyone posts their thoughts on Joe's analysis, what Spencer has said, the message sent apparently by Emerald (Emerald, specifically it would be good if you could comment, unless Winter thinks it's a bad idea).
  4. Though ultimately, so long as we don't auction off votes, eliminators have no need of gold. Gold lets them message, gamble (yay... more money) or transfer it. At this point, the most amount of gold matters only to the scoundrels, just only because if we win, the player with the most gold becomes the new leader for this gang. Only reason I'd see that they'd have for killing the player with the most gold is if they had no one better to kill. But PMing is probably better. We do run the risk of having the eliminators kill them off though. EDIT: And thank you Winter.
  5. You mean pulser I think. Also, I think you've got things mixed up - the order of deaths (presuming we could even trust that (which we can't really)) was Araris -> Mailliw -> Wonko, implying Mailiw was the eliminator kill and Wonko was the smoking gun, if we can presume the order of kills follows order of actions. This being said, I'm presuming Wyrm would have swapped the order around this time, to throw us off. Unless he thought about that, and so didn't switch... Unfortunately, it's hard to say which exactly happened. I would also like to ask the owner of the smoking gun for cycle 2 to step forward, identify your target, and explain why. Either that, or message Joe or myself. (Better off with Joe, probably, but nothing wrong with redundancy). Mailliw could also potentially have been trying to send a message, though I would have given up on the gamble action in favour of Koloss-blooding if I'd decided to do that. I was more asking those questions for the others to answer, but anyway. Curious... To tell the truth, I have had concerns about your allegiance, but I'm deciding to trust you. At least on a cursory read over, your comments seem to make sense. I'll add my vote to Alvron. Emerald, what would be useful is if you can vote for who you think should be lynched. While it won't actually count towards the lynch it will give us information. Tt will let us verify whether or not you are telling the truth as the pulser and their target can neither make actions or vote the turn after their ability is used. If you are the only person to vote for a player, but the vote tally comes back 0, then I believe that proves that you were indeed pulsed. (Don't think we have any other roles that can make a vote disappear? I guess there is a rioter, but I'd imagine that'd not conflict in this instance). Note for this turn. Whoever the pulser is, if they vote this round, it won't count, nor will they take any actions this evening. Now, we assume there are between 2-4 eliminators. At the end of this cycle, it is quite likely that 3 more will die, leaving us at 8 players. Means 40% of the players are eliminators. If they get the smoking gun, they can probably control the lynch, and so they can pick off 3 players. This will leave them outnumbering the scoundrels, presuming there's more than 2 of them. Unless any archivists or koloss-blood among us manage to actually prevent a kill, this could well be our last chance at winning. If we do manage to save some people this round or next, then perhaps we get another rounds grace or so. The point I'm trying to make is that the way I see it, we need to kill an Eliminator, if not 2, this round, if we want to win this game. Joe has a plan, and obviously pending anything people can bring up, it seems like a reasonable one (I am going to do another read over at some point and see if there's stuff I can complain about). So unless someone has a better plan, I say we give this a shot. I am happy to be convinced otherwise, but I'll want an argument for why we shouldn't give this a shot. EDIT: I would still like Winter and Clanky at least to speak up about their opinion on the other experienced players playing this game. Typical or not. Any concerns? Also, I will say that I'm not necessarily sure about your classification of a lot of the people. I would tend to trust Winter, and Clanky, and maybe Emerald. I'm willing to trust your assessment of Lightsworn, though a second opinion (I know, I know, any of you doctors in the guild) would be good. Your argument for Alvron I'm willing to get behind - again, would like Winter and Clanky to comment.
  6. As part of the message sent by Wyrm, in addition to current status of funds etc, I received a message, which had been signed. And I never said anything about PM'ing them back. I received a message is all. I've had time to think, and I guess I'm pessimistic on our (scoundrel) chances if we fail to remove any eliminators this round. As such, any information needs to be shared with the other villagers. The message I received was signed by Emerald101, claiming to have killed phattemer with the smoking because phattemer was going to be lynched. I will leave Emerald to comment on whether or not he sent this message. That is up to him. All I can do is say what information I have. I have more thoughts on this, but I'll share later. I've got some thoughts about where to go from here, but I need to reread the previous posts again to check some details. The one last thing. I am considering announcing to the thread my role (or lack there of) before the end of this cycle. I mean, unless we actually have a village seeker, there's way that you can verify if I'm telling the truth, but still, I want to put it out there. Winter - I guess you have no reason to trust me, but I'm trying to be as open as possible about what I'm doing. I've decided I trust you, for better or for worse. I just hope you can trust me. EDIT: Beginnings of some thoughts spencer has not made a single post since joining this game. He has been online though. ostrichofevil did not say anything in the last cycle. He also has been online, and posted elsewhere yesterday even. Villagers are useless if they don't talk. The only real information that the Scoundrels get to go on is what other people say. Saying 'I have nothing to add is nothing useful.' It means you've read the thread, and agree with the points raised. So, maybe you don't think there's no new evidence. Maybe not. What is useful, and what most people haven't done, is told us their opinion on the ideas raised. By saying 'I agree with this person, for this reason', you give us information to go on. It lets us highlight the people who are trying to not get too involved. If you die, it gives us clues about who you trust, and why. This helps the villagers scoundrels. They can use the knowledge of what your role was to try find others to trust. It also might help encourage the Lawmen to talk more as well. It's the lawmen who are going to lie, and the more they talk, the more likely they're going to slip. If they slip, we finally get to make an informed vote. So far (presuming smoking gun was held by villagers both times), we've managed to kill 4 of our own. We've had basically nothing to go on. Worse, we got not a lot of discussion last round. We've probably got a bit more information now (combined with the fact that there are now only 11 living), but not tons. Experienced players - while a lot of the more experienced players have been taken out, there are still some of you left. While this is my first game with you, and so is helping to form a baseline on what each of you is like, some of you have played quite a number of games with each other before. Are any of the others acting differently? Is Feligon always like that? Does Jain usually talk more often? How about Joe? Is he more subdued than normal? What about Winter? Is there a difference in how she plays when she's good to when she's bad? Is she acting more like one than the other? I can try do some research, but if any of you can answer those sorts of questions, maybe we can identify an eliminator among the earlier generations. EDIT 2: What's the generic word for what the scoundrels are? Eliminators can be used instead of spiked/lawmen, but what about instead of villager/scoundrel. I can't be bothered going back and fixing them, but I keep using villager :/
  7. Firstly, botherations. Things aren't looking good. If we don't get any eliminators this cycle, there will be only 8 of us left next cycle, and if there were 3-4, then they'll be basically half of the remaining players. Now hoping there was only 2. I'm not sure if we can say or not. Last time, the suggestion of smoking gunning the 2nd most voted player was made, and phattemer died, so it made sense. On that matter, the wielder of the smoking gun approached me in PM last round, and said they targeted phattemer cos they thought he'd get lynched. Interestingly, the 5 of the more active experienced players have been killed. Both Kwonko and Maill are experienced, as was Piff last round. Killing dowanax and phattemer was just unfortunate. Gonna think about things, and say more later. Edit: I only got 4 coins from the lynch. Also, lynch is first kill action, so whoever killed maill got 4 coins in addition to whatever he had also.
  8. I would note that Piffs vote on winter was random, and his reason was because she was evil last time. I think I would agree with what you're saying Winter (if one of the eliminators was targeted by a single vote, they're probably not going to kill them off), but I'd also not rely on the eliminators thinking the same way. They could have not thought things through entirely (maybe it's some of the new players), or maybe that came to that conclusion, and went the next step, presuming that it'd be too obvious (maybe the elimators are some of the more experienced/thinky people here). Also, Feligon, just to be clear - your vote. Was your vote on winter just a place to put it to get a coin, or was it because you think Winter killed Piff for putting a vote on her. Just trying to clarify exactly what the pair of you are trying to say. Further note. Not sure if I'm going to be able to get back on before this cycle closes, so I might not be able to contribute further to any discussions before we find out the results of this round. Hopefully nothing big happens between now and the writeup. Thinking I've made my position clear on the various things raised this cycle. Gonna keep my vote on Araris. Apologies in advance if you turn out to be a scoundrel.
  9. Have you seen this page? He's got chapter-by-chapter notes for Elantris, the Mistborn books, Alcatraz, and Defending Elysium, in addition to Warbreaker.
  10. Yay! (EDIT: To be clear, yay for coherency) For the moment, I've decided to trust winter, in part because Only Joe has said he trusts her. Now I'm not decided on Joe yet, but I feel that if he's a Lawman, then I can probably trust Winter. Please, please don't be evil Winter. Now, I was going to vote for you, Feligon, but I've decided to vote for Araris. I think that ultimately it is not useful for the other villagers if one of them lies to the rest, and otherwise, if you're an eliminator (and then potentially lying about lying), well, a vote on you is going to be a good thing for the villagers. I am willing to change this, but at the moment, we need more discussion and need to come to a decision. If we only have 1 vote on a couple people, it's too easy for the Lawmen to take control of the Lynch.
  11. *oops, sorry. No, that's just how I say it in my head...* Fixed EDIT: And the other one too. Also, I just introduced the Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa, Ph.D., M.D., LL.B., J.D., D.Phil., O.D., Psy.D., D.D.S., D.C., D.P.M., D.V.M., Pharm.D., N.D., S.J.D., Esq. in the Newcago Court .
  12. "Make way, make way!" Dr Rab Heatherlocke pushed his way through towards the queen. "Make way for the Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa, Ph.D., M.D., LL.B., J.D., D.Phil., O.D., Psy.D., D.D.S., D.C., D.P.M., D.V.M., Pharm.D., N.D., S.J.D., Esq.. Doctors coming through, make way, make way!" Above the pair of them floated red flashing letters spelling out the word 'Doctor'. Dr Rab appraised the situation. "Oh, this looks serious. I see you've done some magic drawing things. Good. Now let the Honorable Sir Maestro Dr. Brightlord Seixa, Ph.D., M.D., LL.B., J.D., D.Phil., O.D., Psy.D., D.D.S., D.C., D.P.M., D.V.M., Pharm.D., N.D., S.J.D., Esq. do his job, and we'll see if we can't get out of this mess."

  14. +1 for lets discuss that. My brain needs to stop analyzing things for the moment, plus I got a small talk to write. But we've got 2 days before rollover, so there'll be time for that later/tomorrow. Thanks! I just think a lot... And I've sorta obsessed over this game. And LG11. For the last week. I'm sorta like 'TheselooklikesomuchfunIwannaplayandhaveallthediscussions!' I have also been worrying that I might have talked a little too much and that the Lawmen might coming knocking at the end of this cycle...
  15. Is Jain around the place? I think that McNinja is also actually a doctor, and maybe Dr. Seixa. I can accompany our volunteer though.
  16. That is true. Still, the order seems to fit the order of actions, and it matches what I think we'd expect the cause of the 2nd two kills to be. So, not sure. I can probably go look at it, but some of you've been here for awhile and played in Long Game 7 - did Wrym put hints in the write ups when he GM'd that game? That is fair enough. The reason for picking on you was mostly a gut feeling, as in, you felt most suspicious to me, and felt like you were in sorta a nice place to be if you were an eliminator, given analysis stuff I've read from some of the other games. Of course, this is my first game playing this type of forum elimination game. I'm, for the most part, going off the stuff I skimmed through from one or two of the older games in this forums. Also thought you'd have a more coherent response than Feligon (I think I've found everything he's said so far this game to be confusing...). Again, I feel like we didn't get any useful information from the votes, and at this stage, we're still going to be shooting in the dark. I guess we could maybe investigate Pifferdoo, see if there's any reason behind his death. EDIT: To be clear - I am not dead set on Clanky at this stage. I'm going to keep my vote there for the moment, but I'm equally suspicious of Feligon. And there's probably still at least 2 other eliminators out of the rest of people. Oh, and re: quickness of the game. I was a tad pessimistic with that. Archivists and Koloss blood might net us another cycle, maybe 2 if we're lucky. But still quick.
  17. That being said, if we haven't already, sending someone to deal with spikes and poison is probably advisable - people might get annoyed if we take too long and everyone dies.
  18. So, I'm thinking that at least one of Feligon, The Only Joe, Clanky, and Wonko the Sane is an eliminator, and that one (probably different to the first) had the smoking gun. Reason - 6 votes on Dowanax, 6 shots rang out. The write up said one sailed over the crowd (thinking it could be Ostriches or phattemers), and then 3 hit Dowanax. Now, the next recorded death was Lord Pifferdoo, victim to one of the 6 bullets shot. Lord Pifferdoo we are assuming is the victim of the Eliminator Kill. There's a few reasons. Order of actions has Lynch > Lawman Kill > Smoking Gun. So we'd expect the 2nd death recorded to be the Lawman Kill. Secondly, the suggestion was made by Mailliw73 that whoever has the smoking gun should target whoever had the 2nd most votes, which was phattemer in this case. We notice that phattemer was the third person to die, which is where we'd expect the smoking gun kill to occur. So, to me, this suggests that our killer was one of the 6 votes of dowanx. Ostriches vote was bought, and so was different to a standard vote. This would seem to match up best with the missed shot. 3 votes were normal, and the voters didn't necessarily have any other goals, so Dowanx received 3 shots. Seeing the other voters were shooting, I am then thinking that the Lawman carrying out the Lawmen Kill action then took the opportunity to knock of Pifferdoo, and the Smoking Gun was shot at phattemer, because it needed to. As phattemer is dead (and was a villager), and because Ostriches vote was bought and presumably the vote to miss, there are 4 suspects: Feligon The Only Joe Clanky Wonko I've not yet decided how much I trust any of you yet. The Only Joe has been saying things that make sense to me, but doesn't clear him. He says he trust me, but that could be a ploy. It also might not. Not sure yet. Feligon has just been confusing. Wonko has also been involved in the discussion, and said some thing which make sense to me. The first post in this thread would imply that he wasn't the smoking gun wielder. I'm inclined to believe him, and presume he's a villager for the time being. Thinking Joe might have had the smoking gun, though he implies he doesn't. Clanky has said stuff, but not lots of stuff, and not much in the way of strategy. To my mind, he's in that nice area where he's active, but sorta under the radar. So at the moment, I'm the most suspicious of Clanky. But for the record, this is a poke vote. I want peoples opinion on whether the write up is entirely fluff, or if Wyrmhero is likely to include relevant information in the writeups. I also want peoples opinion on what my thoughts, and I would like to hear from Clanky. If the prevailing opinion is writeups are all fluff, or I missed some of Clankys posts, then I'll most probably remove my vote. Ultimately, discussion is a good thing, and so this is to promote discussion.
  19. I'm not against getting involved, just it should be a guild decision (and so, raised here first), and it needs to be clear our support is due to personal interests, rather than external obligations from alliances.
  20. To be clear, I was referring to the Parshendi war which is just starting. Us doctors are listed as being allied with The Alliance as they start this new war.
