  1. I didn't vote because when I previously took sides, I picked the wrong one. Also, I don't believe I've voted the whole game. I should have voted, because ties do not help the village, but I don't believe I was on at rollover to break the tie.
  2. To Wilkin, Godson of the Brightness Ascendant I would have normally asked after your good health, but as you already led with the fact that you came under vicious attack, I will instead pray that you might quickly recover to full health. I regret that I have no ability of my own that I could share with you to protect or heal. It hurts to be called 'Liar'. I can see how you could think me such, but I have not spoken an untruth to you. My family is indeed familiar with Lady Kiireon. As I understand it, it was my forefathers who gave her her title, and so I have been raised to have a deep respect of your own family. I had hoped that we could have been friends in our time here, and wish I could prove good intentions. Please bear the respect and greetings of the Heatherlocke clan when you next see Lady Kiireon, and I forgive you for whatever may come next. Most humble regards, Hal Heatherlocke
  3. Should I trust you completely? No. And lets face it, I've already messed up, this game, when I trusted Hero. On top of that, I did say in my post at the end of last cycle (which people may not have seen?) that I expected there to be 3 couriers in the game, with the 3rd being an OC. So that you're a courier isn't reason enough to trust you. I'm willing to trust you based on how you've come across in the last cycle. I should really go back through your posts and compare though.
  4. Last cycle, Clanky asked me if I had been contacted by a corrupt Courier. I hadn't and I told Clanky so. Lopen confirmed via PM that he targeted me last cycle, so I can at least confirm that as far as I can tell, he's legit. I'm willing to trust him as a result.
  5. Because I said that I would get this done today, my thoughts of the role distribution would be something along the lines of: 14 Brightlord/ladies 3 Artifabrians 3 Worldsingers 3 Couriers 2 Guards(wo)men 1 Ardent 1 Assassin 1 Con Artist It's possible that there'd be another Courier and/or Con Artist. Maybe another Worldsinger, though I don't think we've seen much action from worldsingers, so I think that'd be unlikely. I also'd expect 6 conspirators: 3 Brightlord/ladies 1 Artifabrian 1 Worldsinger 1 Courier It would also not surprise me if the consipirators had a set of shardplate. I'll try write out and post my thoughts/feelings about the remaining players at some point today or tomorrow.
  6. The poison itself would have been administered previously (most likely), rather than at the same time as the lifeless was assigned to her. The question then would be why does the lifeless get killed. As the PR rep for The Brightness Ascendant, I would like to thank whoever sacrificed their Lifeless to protect my client.
  7. Most definitely looking forward to the series though. Re Stealheart v Heroes Reborn:
  8. Anyone watched the Heroes Reborn trailers and thought 'That sounds like Steelheart'?
  9. If that's the only reason they turned you down, just come back in a couple months after you've moved, and then ask.
  10. I feel this is relevant about now:
  11. Casper Heatherlocke, with Gracia, his daughter, standing beside him, watched the proceedings, content to watch the others battle the issue out. As the discussion turned to whether there existed a neutral party, he nodded to himself as Lord Queade was suggested to be a suitable candidate. But when Lady Qwynne reminded those present of Quaede's recent union with House Tekiel, he felt it was time to speak his part. He slowly got to his feet (with the help of his daughter), and cleared his throat. "If I may have a moment of your time?" He waited until his request was granted. "Thank you." He looked around. "Until recently, you may know I've kept to myself somewhat. Maybe some of you my think me to relatively neutral. Maybe. However, I do not think of myself as such, and I feel that I have existing biases that will make it challenging to keep objective in the face of justice. My daughter would fair better, but for the time being, it falls to me enter this discussion." He looked over towards Lord Tyren Queade. "In the time I have known Lord Tyren, my brother-in-law, I have known him to be fair, and just, and I know that he would not allow his recent alliance with Tekiel to influence any decisions or opinions he had on the matter." He paused, looking around before continuing on. "However, in interest of finding a neutral party, would any here object to Lord Heron? To my knowledge, though my memory is no longer what it was, he has had an interest in legal matters, and has kept himself relatively free from binding alliances, yet in spite of that, is a man for whom everyone here holds some degree of respect." Looking around once more, Casper nodded, satisfied with what he had said. Returning to his seat, he waited to see what would happen
  12. To be clear, I was referring to the inquisitor ones. And the relevant thread was this one. I don't know if Hero ended up making new ones or not. Also, I hope it's not taking longer on account of the text editor...
  13. Interesting... I'm going to have to give this a shot at some point.
  14. You know how when you're a kid, you roleplay/collaboratively tell stories and such like? How sometimes its something completely created by those involved, and othertimes it's in some other universe. Well, my peer group was into Yugioh, and started telling one such story, and everyone had their own character. Now, at the time, I had a Warrior deck, and so I made my character around that, so the stupid arm card player things that they had, my character's was also a sword. That character's name was Dean Haelbarde, the Haelbarde coming from Halberd/Hallebard - spears with an axehead on top. Then I just started using that as my username on things. And so here we are. Glaives are cooler though...
  15. I found a living bird in my room yesterday, with the cat that hates me sitting on my bed on the other side of the curtain from said bird. So confused...
  16. Now I've said this over in LG14(?), but I'll reiterate over here that I've not been super engaged in the game for the last couple cycles, but by the end of the cycle, my time should have freed up. I've certainly got some thoughts starting to form, but I'll have to properly flesh them out and type them up at a later point in the cycle .
  17. I feel like I remember reading a thread where that was raised and Chaos said something along the lines of that they don't match the IP.board style of emoticons (presumably built of the phpbb emotes), so likely wouldn't get added. If there were versions more in the style of the IP.board ones (like I belive Turos' are) then they'd probably fair a better chance of being included.
  18. Sounds like it could be fun, but not something I'd want to come up with on the spot. Personally I'd try and run some DnD sessions, but that's just because I've got an itch to play a pen and paper rpg at the moment, and I doubt it'd be feasible. (I've been trying to think if I could do run some sort of watered down DnD campaign with the kids I look after at my OSHC job)
  19. That's great news! Good luck! (I don't know what time it is where you are, so I don't know if you're sleeping, it's still coming, you're currently sitting it, or you've finished it already) Hope it goes/went well!
  20. As I've told one or two people, not been super engaged in the game so far - while I've kept up with reading everything, the free time I'd normally have has been consumed by uni and events put on by my old school. Today's also busy, but then going forward I should have the brain space spare. I guess the sheer number of abilities in this game, and the fact that they can shift around means I haven't got a handle on how to go about this. Stink, did you have a particular point you wanted me to respond to?
  21. You will get it eventually, but when you do, it'll be half gone, with only Pi remaining. I wish I wasn't as tired.
