Technically you didn't die in LG15. But the question with that game would be, does it count as a survive if you couldn't die? But if you just ignore that game, you'd be at 10 deaths. Which I don't think anyone had noticed you had. I've got the most deaths in a row, at 12. So that's the number to beat. Everyone? Hellcythe here wants to survive a game. Make it happen!

Okay, makes sense. Which means that Hoid was indeed trying to redirect Elb's vote, but killed her instead. If there's another Elantrian out there who had redirected Elb's vote, it would be worth roleclaiming - it'll mean we've found our first member of the 17th shard. And not only that, their leader!

In the Night Order of Actions, the Awakener and the Analyst are explicitly referenced, but not Hoid. And under Hoid's description, it specifies "Once per Night" for his Protect, Redirect, and Roleblock, but not the scan... Edit: Good catch.

They could and would have corroborated my story. That story was actually entirely true. I was only a Holder for that last cycle. Joe and Elb played me the whole time though...

Sorry. But it's just so fun! But anyway, I'm not actually Ryuk. I've actually a regular village. 3 cycles ago, Arraenae contacted me, suggesting I fake-claim Ryuk to Joe, who had said Ryuk hadn't contacted them yet. I did this, and so started talking to Joe. I was making some progress - I had succesfully answered his checks, I'd brought Elb in on the plan as my "Holder" to replace Hellscythe. The cycle that Joe ended up dying, initially the plan had been to kill Cloud, so I contacted him to make sure he protected himself, but got him to help me continue the charade of being Ryuk. In the end, they changed their mind at the last minute to kill Joe. But through all this, Rem hadn't got around to contacting me directly. I think they forgot? But they have now, so Bugsy. So yeah, that's why I trusted Elb and Rae - Rae was villager when she suggested the idea (Hellscythe hadn't died yet). It wasn't until the next cycle that she might have been made holder. I was slightly suspicious of her at that point. Burnt I info dumped to, in case Elb, Rae and I all died. Edit: Vote Tally Bugsy(3): Straw, Elb,Hael Burnt(1): Cloud Straw(2): Alias, Bugsy And yeah, you should be able to verify my story with Elb, Burnt and Cloud.

Basically, she hasn't engaged in the game at all, other than an extensive conversation with Alv, trying to get Alv to give her active C4 that she could use in game - Alv keeps coming up with ways to not give her what she wants. This is very much something she does, and this instance it seems to me that she's a bored villager. We have just had 2 new Holders made in the last few cycles though.

Sorry. Was out all afternoon/evening yesterday ( game started ~3:30 pm local time), and have been out all this morning, till recently. Currently, the QF still has my attention. I'll try and get some posts in at some point. Edit: When does the cycle end?

Sheep, I'll try finish responding to your post. I think I will actually shift my vote from Bugsy to Rae. Rae asked me to trust her and do something for her, and I did, and I trusted her with my role. It surprises me that she'd fake claim to me. I also have few reasons relating to stuff I'll reveal next cycle (which I have told two other players, in case I die/get converted this turn) which could point to Rae being evil, if not a Shinigami, at least Ryuk's new Holder (Hellscythe's replacement). Edit: 'd by Bugsy. As I said, two other players know all the details about what it is I have to say. It'll make it to thread whether or not I die or am converted.

Not sure why Hael would be so certain about this rule; perhaps indicator of being Ryuk. I was curious before the game started, because I was curious how the game would be balanced. So I read and reread the rules, in which it does spell it out. Hael is incredibly interested in all these details; I’d think that Ryuk would definitely want to know this stuff - it would be important to their strategy. On the other hand, I don’t see why the villager would worry about a new Holder, given no Holders had been killed yet Again, because I read the rules, the rules never explicitly say that L scans Shinigami and Holders as guilty. It explicitly says Murderers scan guilty. Otherwise, it only says people who were involved in the murder would scan guilty. It wasn't clear if Ryuk/holder would be scanned guilty turn 1, although it was likely. But when a new holder is made, have they been involved in a murder yet? No, so as far as the rules are concerend, they'd in theory scan as Innocent. And this was relevant Cycle 1 - I wanted to be sure that L wouldn't get a 'Innocent' result if scanning a Shinigami or Holder. The Cover Plan Yeah, it wasn't a good idea, necessarily. But I really didn't like where Joe was going (and I was justified, mind you). So I eventually decided to at least suggest the idea. I see your point though, but there's not much I can say. It was genunine. I’m not sure why Ryuk would want to keep Rem’s holder alive, but at the same time, I can’t see why Ryuk would want to kill Rem’s holder either, so I’m split on this one and whether it’s suspicious. At this point, we didn't know of Rem's existence. My concern was that Joe would be an agent of chaos, making everyone second guess themselves, and somone wouldn't die that turn. I hadn't realized yet that Joe would still have his vote. Wanting to know village roles: Why do villagers usually not tell everyone their role? Because then the eliminators know for sure, and either that exposes them to the eliminator kill, or helps the eliminators narrow down where the village power roles are. But anyone who claimed to Joe had already told the eliminators what those roles were. They are then better off telling the village, so that the other villagers can plan/protect them, as needed. More informationthe village has, the better. Re: AMan: I knew enough that it ended up being a bad idea, and trusted that someone who actually played would correct me if I was wrong. Re: Rules implying >1 shinigami: Because I read that the game had 'No Secret Rules'. To me, rules are the things you read in the initial post. The rules include a list of the roles, and how those roles work. So 'No Secret Rules' is a stronger statement than 'No Secret Roles'. So even though I saw that the rules used Shinigami in some cases, when you'd expect Ryuk, given the 'No Secret Rules' clarification, I ignored it. Until Alv clarified that he had a different idea bout 'No Secret Rules' Having lunch. More later.

Burnt has sounded like a bored villager in my PM with her. Trelagist was voted on by Joe at last minute the cycle when I jumped my vote around.

From my few interactions with Burnt, it seems unlikely she's evil (although in saying this, chances are she's most definitely evil). I trust that cloudjumper is what he says he is, and Joe basically confirmed with the way he followed my vote that Cloud isn't Rem. Trelagist i reckon is also cleared from being Rem. I'd also tend to think Elb and Arraenae aren't Shinigami, for a couple of reasons that I can go into next cycle. That leaves you, sheep, as well as Bugsy and strawman. At the moment, I reckon that one of straw and bugsy is Rem. So I'm going to vote bugsy
