  1. I think a lot of it was revenge for the small things - for example, the whole debacle with the supposed loss of shoes. My interpretation was that she wanted her servants and guards to be taken from the lowest they could be, so they wouldn't betray her - and so they saw her as giving them a new chance at life.
  2. Keep it going long enough, and Syl would get a Katamari ball of spent ammunition around her
  3. Congratulations!
  4. As any Windrunner will attest, a 90° turn can make a great deal of difference.
  5. Hmmm.... The thing is, Pattern seems to act as a focus for the illusions; it's a passive effect and he can't control it. I'm trying to think of a good use for Syl as an infusion focus, and I can't. My imagination may be limited, though!
  6. Well, you could give someone a little 'infinity' symbol on their rep bar with a bit of fiddling, couldn't you?
  7. I know!I don't need to feel happiness. After all, there's a spike for that.
  8. Welcome, Kandy! Our forums work according to a strict theocratic authoritarian beauracracy, so be sure to contact Priestlord Chaos with any questions; he'll cast the ballots on the Altar of Sanderson to divine the answer. Please participate in discussions as much as you want, and look in the odder niches of the site for surprises both wonderful and blasphemous! Welcome to our corner of the internet!
  9. Query: quantity... - quality? Quick querulous quips; qualified questions? And I believe that that would be a cruel and unusual abuse of the system. Despite this, I still don't think you should go through with any suggestions that include the word "arbitrary" in it.
  10. Can't say it didn't sell well, though! I swear, these big-name authors, coasting on their reputation as an excuse to sell any piece of crem that comes to mind!
  11. I pronounced it, "nye-na-EVE"
  12. Perhaps, one day, your training will bring you to the summit of argumentative discourse: The Stick himself.
  13. Delightfully, Delightful descends, delving dark delirious depths. Don't disturb Delightful - death drifts down. Dangerous dichotomies - Destruction, delirium, delight - Delightful draws danger.
  14. Still easier than the stake and mallet method, though....
  15. You know, given that Feruchemy can change the "shape" of the metal when you burn it, I wonder what burning Nightblood would do? Would you get Compounded lifesense? Instant Divine Breath healing? Nightblood-like powers? Ooh...
  16. I'm wondering how you'd stick metal spikes through a metal object?
  17. Maybe Aluminium only shields emotional Allomancy, then?
  18. I just had this mental image of Shall an lounging in the Cognitive, Pattern stroking his chin and scribbling on a notepad.
  19. A thug-bloodmaker is basically a poor man's gold compounder, then. You just go about normal life burning pewter and using it to keep you on your feet while you store health like crazy. I bet you could get some bursts of Miles-style healing if you timed them right doing that.
  20. No, you're right. It has to do with the cognitive realm, maybe just a general "tell" that Cognitive shenanigans are happening.
  21. But that's not how Allomancy works. Alloying two metals produces something with an opposite effect to the prime metal in the alloy, and there are only eight alloys that work and don't have God metals in them.
  22. Most likely, it would...kill you. Those are alloys, not just badly made metals. It would be like burning silver - even though it's a large part of electrum, it's allomantically inert itself.
  23. I know, I'm probably wrong. Just thought I'd mention something I thought, even though it's a stretch. When something hasn't been said, I try to say it.
  24. Or, you know, an extemely well paid gold compounder/Thug-Bloodmaker
