  1. Moogle, I understand that but the gift to write sex scenes are not given to every writer. So, why not just leave it behind the pages? Actually there's probably nothing new to add to the issue seeing how people tried to write those piles of books.

And I don't know what value actually raping & sex scene can add. Nope. I'd say there are books that tell better of that. why use so many words for that? I don't see such nesessity as we are talking about fantasy fiction not some women's novels.

And come on, what would fans write about?

  2. damnation you guys, i intended to skip that but. Well,

    - In Elantris some princess actually mentions the wedding night and escort her broom to the ceremony

    - Mistborn is kinda about politics, so... still, Ham has wife and kids, Kelsier too, Docson had a romantic relations including night dates. Vin and Elend spend nights naked in a tent during their trips. Even Sazed... actually, that was a poem. Breeze wakes and seed a sleeping face of Alrianna. And somehow Wax was born Ladrian, so go figure yourself.

    - The Way of Kings... Sort of... there's this Dalinar/NAvani scene that is more appealing than any sex scene.

    - The Alloy of Law... I kinda don't see any possibility for sex since the main character are either fighting, wounded, dying or in crowd. Though shirless Wayne is highly appreciated here. Wax's no bad either.

And yeah... I've read the Sonf of Ice and Fire and regretting having it in phisical form. And I don't know... I just feel that it's less more entertaining with each book. I don't mind crying over a character. Once I shed a tear over a little brave caravella.  And very single character turn out annoying at some point. About relationships... they're annoying, disturbing. Immature in adult sense.

I just find that I don't have any favourite moments any more in the whole series and it's pretty bad. I'm gonna read it for sure since I've already that far.

  3. Kalladin/Jasnah ship? easy enough.

Jasnah never got any resistanse from men, that's for certain. On other hand Kaladin with his stubborness. Yeah, I can see a confrontantion coming. Confrontation is what makes a relationship interesting. Fron one thing Jasnah may be baffled just as much as you.

For second sight, Kaladin is pretty mature for his age. And greatly differs from any other lighteyes

And he's good fighter, good leader, and the center on adoration for his crew. Yeah, he might catch her eye, especially since he'll act as safeguard for the whole family. Since Jasnah is very sceptical, she'll try to figure out how he managered to climb that high. She might be even fascinated.

And Kaladin is fun to tease, have I mentioned that before? Probably it'll work for Jasnah as well.

Age gap is bad, of course. But that can be interesting for Jasnah to have a younger lover. AS for Kaladin, Jasnah is beautiful and woman. Who cares of her age?

Still I think that Kaladin won't be the moving force in this relationship. that leaves the question: what might it be for Jasnah?

  4. Well... hust my thoughts:

    - Kaladin might become a fighting teacher for Renarin and a brotherly character

    - Adolin won't like Kaladin much. Dalinar told Kaladin that adolin feels bitter. I'd be too, actually. And Adolin is spoiled by being the better one.

    - Shallan might get interested and messing with Kaladin. I can sense some teasing from both her an Syl on Kaladin. It'll make hin into man. Definately. Probably. Maybe. At least that's be highly amusing

    - I don't give much credit to any of Dalinar's sons at the moment.

Kaladin/Jasnah would be nice but I doubt Kaladin is that interesting to her. Jsut what in the world can it be for her? I wonder. SAving her life? her brother's life? or being stubborn? don't know... It'll be very slow progress.

  5. You did what?! Put the Alloy of Law aside before Wayne appears?! That's bad... I personally think that Wax is boring, but when Wayne comes messing with him, it's downright funny :) That and Wayne's lucky hat. And Wayne's actually mentioned in the prologue but then it's chapter 2.

It's better then Mistborn series, you just have to suffer Wax a bit.
