    It could give someone connection to another planet, but they would keep the connection to their home planet, and that would have some weird effects especially in the Cognitive Realm, and as for becoming a shade the current holder of the spike would have like a 50/50 chance of becoming a shade, and the person whose Connection was stolen would definitely lose the possibility of becoming a shade.
