A bunch of Brandon’s books take place in a universe called the Cosmere, only Tress of what you’ve read. You might have caught Hoid narrating making weird references, they’re to the other Cosmere books. Also at the beginning where he says “yes that’s me. What gave it away? Was it the name?” is because Hoid is a character (Usually very minor, tress is an exception) in all of them, and it’s like a game trying to find him.

*incoming story rant* last school year I led some friends to believe I read a book a day. At the time, my average time was 11 hours, which usually would not work with a school day. But now I didn’t want to let them down. So after some dust jacket shenanigans, I ended up upping my average to an actual book a day. It was exhausting. Plus I kept having to go back to the library. This year I instead tries to stretch out the cosmere for as long as I could at made it a streak of only reading Sanderson. Clearly that’s not what to do after getting your average to a day, it took me 3 months for the cosmere, cytonverse, reckoners, and Alcatraz.

*burst into tears of sympathy*
