    I I could be wrong but I assume most people jump to British accents at least for Era 1. Especially with all the French words… it’s like when you watch an American movie set in France, and we’re meant to believe everyone is speaking French, but it’s actually in English… well, the accents will probably be British, not American! apple def has the $$$ for some accent coaches hehe Tho I think for that wayne plot point, it would be less about how the kandra pronounces ever a and theyd have to focus on just a single word that gets repeated and pronounced differently

    thank you for hearing me out furthermore... NOLA is already kinda misty because of the bayou ... imagine mistwraiths... gliding around trees with ominously dangling spanish moss... finally a fantasy setting for new orleans aesthetic that isn't about vampires... s'il vous plait. not that it has to be filmed there or anything, just the vibe... it matches. also visual cues of the noble houses congregating in plantation style homes... like u dont need a ton of exposition dumping to understand what's happening and how skaa are treated ALSO noble houses southern accents v skaa southern accents could signal the class divide "Vin, you risked your life for that fool of a boy? Bless your heart!"

    Hear me out!! Most of the names are French or French-inspired. Luthadel as fantasy New Orleans... Class divide, decaying aristocracy, balls, revolution??? Instead of making it medieval or European like everything else... And then Era 2 is basically cowboys!? Don't tell me Wax doesn't have a country drawl!

    Can i say anything here?? i’m going to because i dont want to make a whole post about this bc ifs not that interesting anyway im rereading stormlight (actually listening to audiobooks this time) and bc im also writing an oc canon compliant fanfiction, i am picking up on really weird little details as it pertains to my writing so in WoK both kaladin and dalinar specifically refer to grapes in their narration and thoughts (Dalidoo even threatens to smash Elhokar like a grape) — implying they know what a grape is but in RoW Adolin refers to grapes as a strange little fruit the Shin use to make wine and does not name it that’s all bow wow meow

    I will… i have a very responsible and neurotypical husband that will if I don’t this week hmm I’m not sure i do catch your drift but… i think so? I’m falling behind in work and i’m clawing my way out of an intense depressive episode. But i’m sort of used to going through it… I’m an artist so sometimes it results in cool art… but sometimes my liferaft out of it is substance abuse… or really weird unhelpful fixations (like being really, REALLY obsessed with solitaire for a few months) but i also know i really don’t have to live like this

    Haha it’s definitely a mental hurdle also with doctor stuff… idk again ive never had health insurance so im used to only going to doctors if im quite literally about to die or something so with mental health stuff an evil part of me is like “we’ve been subsisting like this for this long we can keep going for a bit, no? especially if it means not having to book an appointment blegh”

    Undiagnosed everything (adhd and depression at least)… but I finally have health insurance for the first time in my life so I can hopefully get diagnosed and medicated except surprise surprise I have been avoiding setting up any sort of appointment even tho i really need this and this is exactly what i wanted B-)
