  1. Well, that leaves plenty to look forward to! For now, I'm just excited to re-read The Way of Kings now that I know much more of the Cosmere mythology, then read the sequel in November!! Thanks!
  2. Very cool. I knew about the potential Hoid novel, but it would be great to have some sort of crossover like that. Thanks!
  3. For those of you who are heavily-immersed in Sanderson's interviews and talks about the Cosmere, do you get the feeling that the entire mythos WILL be revealed throughout subsequent novels? Or, will most of the mythology rely on catching subtle hints and easter eggs throughout the different series'? For instance, do you think further books will discuss the Realms and world-jumpers (like Hoid) in detail, or will those conclusions be left up to the readers? Thanks! I'm relatively new to the whole Cosmere thing, although I've read most of the books (except Warbreaker).
  4. Nice! I just finished the Mistborn Trilogy a few weeks ago (after reading Elantris) and LOVED them. I just finished The Way of Kings (which was absolutely incredible), and am reading The Alloy of Law (which has the basic feel of Mistborn, but with a very cool wild west setting).
  5. Sazed becoming God, Dilaf being the head of Dakhor, and finding out that the Parshendi were the Voidbringers.
  6. A Song of Ice and Fire is an extremely graphic series, both linguistically and sexually. The scenes are frequent, too. I was actually quite surprised at how much of a dirty old man Martin is haha. That being said, the stories are fantastic. I'm sure this is a dumb question, but have you ever read Tolkien? And, I don't just mean Lord of the Rings, but his other works like The Silmarillion and The Children of Hurin (both in the Middle Earth mythos). Those two are some of my favorite books of all time.
  7. Thanks! I can't wait for November...
  8. What sort of philosophy and theology are you studying, if I might ask?
  9. It'd be cool to learn more about the Old Magic--kind of like the reader learned more about Feruchemy in the second Mistborn book--and maybe see some more revelations about the Nightwatcher...
  10. Hi, I'm Jed. I've read Elantris, The Mistborn Trilogy, and The Way of Kings, and am currently reading The Alloy of Law. I love Mr. Sanderson's work, and the Cosmere mythos is just plain awesome. I'm not a huge theorist by any means, but I really enjoy the novels and mythology, so I figured I would join the site to talk to some other fans (since I don't know many, unfortunately). I'm also a huge Tolkien and George R. R. Martin fan, so you can see where my literary interests lie...
