Huh. Cool. Yeah, I have a friend who listens to pretty much exclusively old stuff (I don’t judge, my playlist is messed up) and he’s recommended to me a few tracks by like… Metallica, or Iron Maiden, which compared to the hardest stuff I listen to these days (Juxtaposed, Our Chronicle for example) is like… not that heavy at all.

If you want heavy and old music, listen to older Gojira or any of Meshuggah.

      (Meshuggah Clockworks?)

Oh shoot I have been meaning to check out Meshuggah

  2. They need to go on the *screech* date before something bad happens. Again.
  3. Night suddenly kidnaps Inkwell with the starhawk, yanking him over to the alleyway of a crowded city, where a girl in black jeans and a viridian house hoodie stands holding a sword made of gold and black glass. Nearby, someone dressed in a minstrel outfit stands unmoving in a way Inkwell recognizes as being frozen in the passage of Plot as their Author is not present. The girl jumps and points the sword at him. They both suddenly curse over each other, and Night has the starhawk screech every time something foul emerges from their mouths. —— “*screech!* Who the *screech* are you?!”, Eden yells as some random person with a glowing bird sitting on his shoulder suddenly materializes in the alley. “Uh, sorry, sorry, sorry, I just got abducted by this *screech* bird. Old you put the *screech* sword down?” Eden takes a deep breath and tries to lay Death Omen on the ground. Instead, it disappears into black smoke, which takes the form of a gold chain necklace with a smoky quartz pendant at her throat. Great. Non consensual accessorization. “Yeah, that’s great. Can everyone but me teleport?” The boy sighs. “Nope. I’ve found myself much less… mobile as of late. Sorry for startling you. Is that your…” “He’s a friend. I don’t know what’s going on with him. There’s these bird people, one kidnaps orphans or something, and now I’ve teleported here where this sword just told me I’m going to die. Absolute garbage. Damocles type *screech*. I’m Eden, by the way.” —— Inkwell brightens when Eden mentions Damocles. “Blue blossom days, huh? Inkwell. Nice to meet you.” He sticks out his hand to shake hers. She hesitantly accepts. “Exactly. Good music. So, should we join the club of people who get random omens and teleported around against their will?” “What kind of omen?” “Just this immense feeling of dread. That and the sword telling me I’m going to die.” “Have you heard of… Malevolence? The Lost Pages?” “No. I haven’t heard anything.” “Sounds like you’re new here. Well, this place is weird. I don’t have any time to explain, but what you’ve got there looks like a Plotblade, and someone is about to…” he trails off. “This is like the third time today I’ve said this. Evil intern. Summoning, not the good kind. World go boom. It’s stupid.” “Sounds stupid. But that’s the kind of thing that would randomly curse you. Now what?” Inkwell shrugged. “I don’t have any way to travel interdimensionally. My evil twin stole that.” And just like that, Night is bored. Stop talking to yourself, she tells the Author, sending not one but two nighthawks to transport them to Malevolences lair, since that seems to be where all the characters are.
  4. His ethos is a bit… nonexistent, but his logos makes him compelling. I think his pathos here, while not immediately visible, is also very interesting from a motivational standpoint.
  5. Look if he were to clone himself. Which he wouldn’t because he doesn’t inherently have powers and couldn’t share the pen. But it would be funny actually wait it wouldn’t work because that’s not the way Inkwell looks at art- and for something to be magically created it must be considered art by him which is why the signatures never manifest In reality, or the Mark.
  6. Aight chat time to give Inkwell a Xerox and have at it yesss exactly he’s more of a force of nature villain, very well written character but not very deep or complex
  7. Ribbon made one and gave her a narrator core, but I never really heard what happened after that
  8. The man regains his senses and tries to punch Inkwell, who dodges, grabbing the sketchbook and making a very crude sketch of the man‘s clothes. It transforms into ink and holds him in place. “How about you stay put for the moment.” Night, can you find someplace for this guy, he thinks. The starhawk screeches a goodbye to Isabel and Cleo, then flies to the man and lands on it. With a triumphant cry, they both vanish, the man taken away to a world where people are forced to undergo therapy, because the man clearly needs it. “So. Glad I could help. I’ve got to try and find some way to help stop the evil intern from summoning thrift store Sauron and destroying-“ he gestured wildly to everything around him. “All of this. So that’s great.” Suddenly, the starhawk appears and takes Inkwell… elsewhere. Without permission or warning.
  9. The instant she does, she suddenly finds herself in a completely different body. Inkwell snatches Shadowlight and the drawing from the man before he can get any ideas, handing the drawing to Isabel. “Hold on to that. Don’t let it get damaged. Not sure what would happen to you if it were destroyed, but whenever I’ve destroyed any of my drawings the object… tends to dissolve into ink and shadows and promptly disappear. So don’t lose it.”
  10. Huh, cool. If you like the classical style, you might enjoy Ivory’s Whitepine soundtrack. She’s a trans pianist who is basically responsible for me liking music. Inkwell flipped through the book, turning to a different page. He looked up for a moment, studying Isabel’s posture. Her eyes. Her facial expression. He began copying these attributes of who Isabel was, as opposed to the body she occupied, onto the page. The hair, the nails. He added eyes which matched the hair, purple, and the healthy skin color. “The clothes, the clothes… how to do the clothes…” he mused. He retraced the current outfit, just a casual pair of jeans and a T-shirt, then retraced it again and again. Pouring more and more ink, more Splendorlight, more prismite into the image. “I’m infusing the new form with a little of the prismite from the pen,” he commented. “If the Intent fits right, you should be able to transform your clothes to what fits you, or makeup, or even disguise yourself. I think.” He finished the drawing, ripping out the page and handing it to Isabel along with the pen. “Sign here!”
  11. Inkwell idly begins practicing sketching a girl, in pencil, as it has been a long time and he was never quite spectacular drawing the female form in the first place. But this would have to be perfect. @Honors Ghost
  12. Idk I was going for gremlin energy Omen taught 9/10 something by accident
  13. The hole in reality took him through Night’s domain, near a black hole. Night approved of this course of action and protected 9/10 as he passed through another rift, going somewhere else entirely. But in an instant, everything in Malevolence’s evil lair was yanked out into space and dropped into a black hole.
  14. “Mhm yeah that’s coming from the clearly insecure and unloved villain trying to destroy the world.” He looks around. “It seems Rebus is frozen in time yet again. I’ll have to speak to him later.” And then he disappeared through a hold in reality.
  15. Aware. Fully theoretical. He’s still bitter about losing to malevolence and is just trying to get under his skin. But technically, Futility could absorb the mordite and return her to her normal form.
  16. 9/10mmHB#2 hollered at Malevolence from the corner of the cave. “Nope, just here for the seminar. I can’t wait for the group session about avoiding redemption arcs!” Still completely thread-aware, he also yells out “And you’re not the only one who can cleanse Fog!”. Hmmm, he is a heckler.
  17. 9/10mmHB#2 understands quite well and isn’t much amused. “Malevolence is taller. Anyways, what did you do to my sword? Don’t think that because Inkwell didn’t notice that I wouldn’t remember.” He removed the drawing from his back pocket, unfolds the drawing of Futility, and pokes at the Mark on the signature. It squeaks and hides in the hilt. “You might have fought with Inkwell, but last I checked we’re not enemies.”
  18. Viiii laaaaain COOONNnNN Inkwell waits as Isabel seems to be struck with decision paralysis. @Honors Ghost
  19. He’s actually here to attend the villain seminar :3 ”Yeah, really great how much time that took. Pointless, too. So, uh…” he glances around the evil lair. “Whatcha doing here? It’s pretty tacky, would you say?” He pauses. “You misspelled my name.”
  20. Night sighs. “Fine.” She leaves Egis to deal with Sanguine.
  21. Good idea current plans for Eden include: waiting for @xinoehp512 to log on, but I’ll keep that in mind if I get any ideers actually, I think at this point imma take a step back and wait for xino, ghost, and heir since all of my characters are basically waiting for a response
  22. Ya but now I need to be responsible or the plot will be boring
  23. *new Plotblades? I have no idea what you’re talking about* Yeah so I thought “what if we had a Plotblade that is based off of the trope of prophetic death?” And then I gave it to Eden so uh whoever it touches, it gives a death omen to. And it’s still up to the characters author how that is used, maybe they see their death and work it into the plot, maybe they find an exceedingly clever way to avoid it (you would have to try really hard, perhaps banishing oneself to The Clearing would do it) but anyways I’m going to have to be really careful with Eden now.
