  1. No, but at the locations where there isn't a connection, I generally don't have the time or need to be on the internet. (i.e. driving)
  2. Anyone planning to go into a trapper? We really need one. That reminds me, how many characters are we allowed to play?
  3. My nook tablet does that. I am using it right now.
  4. Abandoned Shop -Alleyway Umieri "Unfortunately no. We always had specialists for that and so it wasn't necessary for me to learn." Kinda wish I did now. "Striax?"
  5. Alleyway Umieri "We should be safe enough for now. I suggest we escape this city while we can. It won't take long for them to realize the back door is blocked; we should be long gone from here by then." Umieri folds his hands together and smiles. "Still, not a bad way to start an expedition."
  6. Um, is this with AoL tech? if it is with modern tech, probably some sort of device that heats up metal, like a microwave. If it is with AoL tech, then I would probably try to avoid msitings/ferrings in the first place.
  7. I actually don't like phones. They make me paranoid, and I can barely communicate to people when face to face, let alone over the phone. That aside, the phone I do have isn't all that special, it has unlimited texting, a calculator, and only two uses left of pac-man demo on it. I don't really see the need for a fancy app phone since other pieces of technology I have do the same things.
  8. So, please tell me the difference between these two sets of code. Both are methods of a Rational Class. set 1 public int add(Rational op2) { int commonDenominator = denominator * op2.getDenominator(); int numerator1 = numerator * op2.getDenominator(); int numerator2 = op2.getNumerator() * denominator; int sum = numerator1 + numerator2; return (sum, commonDenominator); } set 2 public int add(Rational op2) { int commonDenominator = denominator * op2.getDenominator(); int numerator1 = numerator * op2.getDenominator(); int numerator2 = op2.getNumerator() * denominator; int sum = numerator1 + numerator2; return (sum, commonDenominator); } that's right. They are exactly the same. So here is how the problem comes in. I entered the first set of code and it didn't work properly. Entering in two sets of rational numbers, (1/2) and (1/2), and gives out (3/2). I retyped the code the exact same way, and it worked. I entered (1/2) and (1/2) and got 1. So does anyone know why java seems to do this. It happened to me once before. No syntax or runtime errors were generated.
  9. uhhh, something along the lines of "This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules!?" Also, Aaron's thread is open to anyone, but that isn't the place to ask to participate. Please ask here or over PM in the future. It breaks the flow of stories if you ask in the middle of one. (Granted, it hasn't gone anywhere yet *cough*Kuri*cough* but for future reference.)
  10. okay. continue assuming that Krh'rhl is paying attention and not saying anything.
  11. I was like...
  12. Wait. Eerongal is female? .
  13. okay then.
  14. Abandoned Shop Umieri NO! The voice was so insistent that Umieri barely restrained himself; he had to bite down on his hand to prevent himself from calling out,and even then a panicked chuckle escapes. Shaking his head, the darkness clears. That was too close. They mustn't find out. Umieri stands up, and looks out the door, checking up and down the alleyway. "It's clear." Umieri said in a raspy voice. (I'll move this later into another post when Tulir posts. Umieri dived back into the shop in s sort of back tumble. It normally would have required a tumble check to do) (I was wondering if you were going to do that in this thread. I couldn't decide so I rolled. 15 was the minimum required to succeed. Hence, the almost blowing cover.)
  15. 10000 is the next number after 1111. Binary is a base 2 system. so when you add 1 to the first digit. it becomes a 0. since the only digits are 0 and 1. Repeat until the last digit, 1111. It becomes a 0. then you carry the 1 into the next spot. so you end up with 10000.
  16. I figured. That was the best video we could get that got most of the steps. release bike wheel wheel unwinds weighted rope weight triggers lever, knocking over trashcan/bowling pin trashcan/bowling pin trips topheavy bar topheavy bar pulls string which pulls off fridge magnet lack of fridge magnet releases wire hangar with attached weighted arrow wire hangar with attached weighted arrow travels down clothesline and spins a rebar balanced on a can rebar pulls string, which pulls a box out from underneath water-filled container 1 water-filled container 1 pulls water-filled container 2 off of counter water-filled container 2 pulls a string attached to box2 pulling on box2 knocks off water-filled container 3 water-filled container 3 pulls down on another string pulley reverses string direction and pulls of sweatshirt I finished another rube machine with some of my friends as well. We are going to enter it into a competition on Friday. I might be able to get a (better) video of that one, since all the steps have to be in a smaller space.
  17. Abandoned Shop Umieri Why me... Umieri runs up, kicks open the door, then dives out of the way. Don't get shot. Don't get shot. Don't get shot,
  18. This is a video of a rube machine my sister built. The goal is to take a sweatshirt off its hook. http://tinypic.com/r/snzz8n/5 I can tell you the steps if you want, since it goes kinda fast. (Sorry that it only shows as a link. It won't show as a video)
  19. Eventually, but Kuri needs to post first.
  20. Okay, but right now arron is at the wagons

  22. Abandoned Shop Umieri "You could just use Prestidigitation to clean yourself, and change your hair color by the way. Though I would rather not go into the sewers anyway." Umieri takes off his scarf and wraps it around his mark. "What do you think Striax?"
  23. Starry Dragon Umieri "Alright." Umieri pushes against the wall, it gives way pieces flying across the room of the shop. The room Umieri stumbles in, almost slipping on the congealed slime. A foul smell arises from the basement door, which stands ajar. "I'd prefer if I didn't make all the decisions so which way do you guys think we should go. I haven't scouted the sewers, so I don't even know if we can escape that way., but the other ways could lead to more exposure."
