    *hugs* religion is complicated. While I don't agree with all the decisions made in this situation, I feel bad for all of you. Both of you please just remember that everyone is imperfect-maybe your pastor, maybe your friends, and maybe even yourself. The important thing is that I think that most people are TRYING to be good. I do not believe that it is our responsibility to judge others and point out their misdeeds. I think that our job is to love first. This is a tricky situation, and my only real advice (as a really old freshman ) is to keep trying. Maybe it will be hard at some points. But someday, somewhere, no matter what your religion is (or lack of one thereof), I do believe that you will be warm again.
