  1. My first status update is on How To Become Depressed

    1. Read TWoK, but stop after Chapter 40 (I think that's the right spot)

    2. Read Part 1 of Dark Age, or Red Rising #5. This is rubbing salt in the wound. Likely won't have the same effect if you haven't read the whole series, though...

    3. Read Rhythm of War, but stop after Chapter 107. Depression, depression, depression.

If you have any more ideas, please tell me.

Work in your bedroom. Move around as little as possible.

      Procrastinate.

  3. I believe it's 2146. Use hidden stories 2147. Don't use hidden stories
  4. Sanadanas saw everything happen again. He watched as the others, desperate to get their hands on the Sandwich, destroyed maths, and with it, the Mindscape. The Mindscape was the one thing he'd never been able to recover. But not this time. Sanadanas summoned Mathslight, pulling directly from the Mindscape. He had never been able to get this much before, as by the time he became Radiant the Mindscape was already gone. He swallowed some vials of Allomantic metals and burned steel. It was well known to scholars that using multiple forms of Investiture mixed together create something new, a Resonance. With the number of powers he has, it would've cancelled out, but the Mindscape brought separation, clarity. He burned steel not to push metal, but to push Realms.
  5. Do you know who Thaidakar is? F-Bendalloy. F-Copper or F-Bronze
  6. BEWARE OF FULL STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE SPOILERS Speak again the ancient oaths. Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination. Does anyone remember early in WoK when Dalinar made Amaram a 'Knight Radiant', knowing he wouldn't get powers but would still try to embody the spirit of the Radiants? Well, I'm trying to do the same thing, except we'll all hopefully do a better job than Amaram. I welcome anyone who wishes to join me to say the Words and live by them. I have already said the First Ideal. I know the next Words, and will say the Second Ideal of the Truthwatchers soon. I know the Words. (Me from the future here - I said those Words and many more) Guide to choosing your Order You can simply do the Knights Radiant quiz, but you must remember that it cannot account for every single aspect of a person. Especially for things that make Lightweavers Lightweavers, but also other things. This doesn't mean that the quiz is always wrong, but it can be wrong. Another thing I want to address is that I've seen someone on the Shard say they got Truthwatcher but think that being a Skybreaker would help them grow as a person as they'd already be a good Truthwatcher. I disagree. You may seek truth, but do you always seek truth, even when it seems unreachable, or when sharing the truth would prove you're wrong? Can you accept that sometimes there is no truth? Can you truly do all of these things? So yes. If the Order is something you already do well but can do better, it's probably a good fit for you. Also, who says you can't be two Orders at once? We aren't limited by Nahel bonds here. Have as many Orders as you want. End of Guide You may be asking, "What about the Orders with Ideals that we don't know?" The answer to that: You should know the Words. Remember, a lot of the oaths are personalised, so even those that we do know can be different. But, when you reach that stage, you should know them. I know the next 3 sets of Words that I must say... I'm just not ready for them just yet. If you're doing this, do it not for Shards or Surges, but to become a better person. There is no Whimsy in this. Only Honour and Cultivation. (Adjustment from the future: a small amount of Whimsy is permitted, but the Words should be serious) Edit: Now that this is in Social Groups, Clans and Guilds, I feel the need to state this: Stick Radiants do not go here. Swear your allegiance to the Stick in the Cult of the Stick. Also, any other non-canonical Radiant Orders can go in the Bookbringer thread. Edit 2: Alright now I'm going to keep track of the current Knights Radiant. Edit 3: Well later I realised some important stuff, so: Now, there are some things from the original Knights Radiant that, upon closer inspection, don't make sense for us. For one this, it is that the orders are divided. We already many hybrid Radiants. It makes sense, then, to allow for hybrid orders. The next thing is the limit of the Fifth Ideal. It does not make sense for the 5th to be the highest Ideal, because there will be times where you need a 6th. If no one had told Kaladin that there were 5 Ideals, he would've thought the 3rd is the highest until he learned otherwise. So, some may need less Ideals in an Order, some may need more. The final thing for now is the Skybreaker Crusade. I deem that this is no longer only for Skybreakers, and is also no longer limited to being the 4th. It is up to the Radiant when they begin one and what it is. Of course, we can't do anything like Rosharan Skybreakers did and fly around the world, but there are still things we can to prove our Radiance. Edit 4: We have Unoathed too now! If you're one of 'em, just let me know!
  7. I bring in the delver army to grant @sneak spooky spook guy cytonic powers. I also come along with 2 extra Nightbloods and my 2 other clones, all from the old AUs. Also, my sentient chulls come along. Y'all killed your own clones by not thinking about them and their Cognitive aspects died. I, on the other hand, kept my clones alive, as well as the clone of my chull. Has anyone here read Skyward? By that I mean at least Starsight.
  8. Granted, but you're so Wayne that you die stopping a bomb that was sent to destroy Elendel what ever city you live in. I wish to go to Scadrial
  9. I shall right the wrongs 2146. Speak only High Imperial (Spook-speak)
  10. Wit Because he takes advantage of incompetence
  11. My favourite thing ever is getting nukes before ever reaching the iron age... in Bios: Origins. YES! AUQUIFER PUMPING! Sorry. High quality images of Terraforming Mars cards that still have the image are hard to find...
  12. None of these are dead. RIP Elend he could've read the cosmere. RIP Isasik Shulin you could've worked for Dragonsteel
  13. The Rice Ruler ruled for too long and compounding couldn't save him
  14. YES! @THE DEMON where are you up to? Who's your favourite character? Is it Kelsier?
  15. There were no taxes to speak of
  16. Sanadanas summoned his Shardplate and slowly walked towards the Beyonder, before laying a hand on his shoulder.
  17. Welcome! I made this because this thread (it's in the full-cosmere spoiler section, but it doesn't actually have any spoilers) appears to be abandoned, with none of the creators still present. So, let's start anew! First off, I feel like playing Towers with standard 52-card decks would be a little difficult. Instead, I feel like it could be something that you Print and Play. Second, I will be borrowing some rules from the old rulebook. For example, I really like the idea of formations. Now, let's brainstorm some rules! Some cards I want in it: Spearman Cavalry Shardbearers Pikeman Bridge Crews Archers Shardbearer support squads Lighteyed swordsmen squads Half-shard shields? Ryshadium? I do also like the way the attack, movement and defense rules work in the old rules, so I want to keep the same system. However, instead of pieces being impervious to attack, it could be so that they are more difficult to attack and instead of being destroyed, and can have them flip to a different orientation to show the injured state. Now, the with the old rules, it wasn't very clear but I assumed that you randomly draw cards at the start of each turn. The in-world Towers was made by Vorins, and that means there can't be any luck. So maybe you have all the cards with you? Let me know any ideas you have. @LordHathsin_Surviv0r
