    Homeopathic/midwives trick for coughs:

    Put sliced, raw onions in your socks on the bottom of your feet before bed. It helps drain the gunk out and helps you stop coughing at night.

      @mippo In this case? Google 'cause we were desperate. The whole family had been passing around a cold or something for over a month and we were DONE. Other cases? Your ancestors, I assume.

      @Ashkaloda Onions are astringents, and your feet is the bottom of your Lymph system, so it pulls the bad stuff away from your lungs so you can sleep. 

      I never had to use it (all i got was two weird 24hr bugs thank god) but some of us did AND IT WORKED so now thats in our arsenal lol

    Book rec of the day:

    Hemlock and Silver by T. Kingfisher.

    This is a medium-stakes stand alone.

    ITS SO FUNNY. The lines are great, the banter is better, and the 1st person POV is so perfect. Also: one of the best acknowledgements I have ever read.

    Players are all a special type of crazy. One of my cousins trying to get her family into dnd and people have told her "Oh! You'd make a good DM" and shes like "Yeahh thats what I was afraid of" I was laughing so hard Don't blame her either
