  1. Only to find that he passes right through the illusion that I left behind. I lock down my fortress, trapping the Pursuer in that room.
  2. "No!" Lazar inspected the others more carefully. They don't look the type, but you can never tell. "It's not common to find so many people all in the same place here," he said suspiciously. Before I meddle with everyone, did you have a plot in mind?
  3. Lazar visibly relaxed some, though he still seemed guarded. A loner, then. I should be safe for now, but... He looked over at the others standing beyond. "Are you with them?"
  4. Lazar glanced around, wondering which of the doors the person before him had come from. Are they rogues? Or is there a third group that I had not known about? His mind rebelled at the thought, but he had to consider it a possibility. Not that it would go over well for me if they are. Either way, I have to be cautious about what I say until I figure out whatever the hell these people are doing here. Aloud, Lazar responded. "Searching for what? One could easily find themselves lost in here."
  5. "My name is Lazar." He glances furtively over his shoulder before taking a step forwards. "What are you doing in this... place?"
  6. "And why would it be better? What is different about a Dark World?" He leans across the table, interested.
  7. A door swung open. It was a large, antique-looking door made of polished cherry wood in a traditional style. The handle was arched and bronze, streaks visible on it from prior use. The door creaked as it opened, sunlight flooding in through the frame, illuminating the area beyond briefly. The sunlight glinted off of other doors, and for a moment, one could see a forest lying beyond. The sunlight brightened the area, blocked only by a man as he stepped through the doorway. The man looked to be in his late twenties, with olive skin and black hair combed to the side. He was wearing black pants and a button down shirt with a silver wristwatch that shined in the pooling light. A brown coat, long at the waist, was over this and his brown eyes flashed as he turned. With a swift gesture, the man closed the door behind him. His breathing was hurried, but not fast enough for him to have been running. Slowly he turned around, taking in his surroundings. Surprise flashed across the man's face as he notised the others standing there.
  8. He pondered this for a moment. "What constitutes a dark world?" "A game show? I'm a rather busy person; I don't really have the time."
  9. Bartholomew forges a letter by @Uninteligenius declaring eternal war and sends it to you.
  10. Second settles down in a chair and starts sipping on the tea. He watches BENJI's antics with a hint of amusement in his eyes for a bit before speaking. "Subversion is right, about you leaving. I believe I can help with that. You are given substance by darkness?" @BUTTER THE_BENJIWALKERS @NameIess
  11. I think usually when you have successfully taken steps that allow you to follow that oath without breaking it, but can still use the oath as a motivation/guideline for continuing and improving. There are oaths I would like to follow, but know I cannot live up to and so have not yet sworn. I swore my last oath when I had proven to myself I could do it, but had not been quite able to uphold it with consistency. Ultimately, do whatever you think would help you improve the most.
  12. "I know nothing of Kris. Susie, last I was able to check, was dismantling a forest. Would you happen to know where she might have went?" Second turns to Subversion, surprise showing in his usually confident expression. "What are you doing here? Go meddle elsewhere!"
  13. "I am neither Darkner nor Lightner, but from elsewhere entirely. And, some tea would not be remiss, as it appears I may be here a little longer than anticipated." That was me and Kansas for the longest time Before Rebus came and meddled
  14. Second frowned. "For what reason are you confined here? Look, I... don't usually do this, but I believe I may be able to help."
  15. "I don't know anything about Kris - they have not been relevant. Susie was fine when I last checked, although we weren't watching her that closely, so her condition may have changed. But not for weeks."
  16. "You just mentioned Susie. And we didn't do anything to her. Although, I'm not sure how much forest is going to be left when she's through with it. This is not meant to panic you. I believe we started off on the wrong foot." He extends his hand. "You may call me Second."
  17. He laughs even harder. "No, no, I'm not threatening you. I don't have to. Although, you should be thankful that I got to you first." He pauses. "Say, this Susie, are they around? I do believe we had been monitoring them."
  18. "You did, did you? Impressive. It would seem that you and I have a lot in common. And no, I am not a recruit." He chuckles. "Far from it."
  19. "I never doubted that you do. Certainly better than I. But what are you doing here?"
