  1. Ooooohhhhh... I would definitely read that.
  2. Nope. It's about a murder aboard an underwater train. I should probably clarify my earlier post, huh?
  3. Finally got a library card! Also, I walked out of the library with one mystery novel and three books on flags and heraldry.
  4. YES. Jónsi, their lead singer, did the music for the movie We Bought A Zoo. I haven't heard the rest of their stuff, but that is one of my favorite scores of all time, and my uncle is a huge fan, so more likely that not I'll be looking into them at some point soon. It's called Hopelandic. As for what I'm listening to right now, while I'm writing I either will turn on Classical 89 (the local classical station) or Of Monsters And Men.
  5. Now I can't stop giggling, imagining Twelve as a librarian.
  6. I was wondering if somebody would bring that post up. I kinda want to read Mistborn entirely in Brandon's voice now.
  7. Straight as a flagpole and about as flexible, too.
  8. Can anyone else do that thing where you basically memorize voices? Like if I hear a voice enough, I can then read anything in that person's voice, despite never actually having heard them say that thing. Seriously. I could go spend five minutes in the Voice Thread right now and then go read the Declaration of Independence entirely in, say, Zathoth's voice.
  9. We talked about it in my Psychology class too, but I don't recall there being a "this is 100% proven science" bent to it. That's mildly unsettling.
  10. EXTREMELY SORRY I WAS UNABLE TO NOTIFY MY ABSENCE EARLIER EXTREMELY SORRY
  11. Regarding Pottermore -- My Patronus is a black mare. ...okay, then. It tried to tell me I was in Ravenclaw. STORM IT I'M A HUFFLEPUFF YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME. And my wand is redwood with a unicorn hair core, 13 ¾" and slightly yielding flexibility. I like this one. Maybe I'll do the whole Ilvermorny thing later. Maybe.
  12. Mine too. Wish more people understood that, instead of just screaming "ZOMG YOU HATE GAYS" in the general direction of Salt Lake.
  13. Well, I guess it's a little late for my opinion. Sorry about that. I'll let you know whether or not I can make it (assuming y'all're doing it tonight?) as soon as I know.
  14. I literally just ate and now I am hungry again. What is this witchcraft.
  15. Yes I did something right Thanks for the tips. I've printed it out so I can work more on an actual keyboard, so that should help. I am planning on taking some music classes in college. In the meantime, I'll look online.
  16. Banjo would be fun! It's a cool instrument.
  17. Funnily enough, "debut" and "review" rhyme. Anyways, here's my review of The Hidden Oracle, by Rick Riordan; book one of The Trials of Apollo.
  18. That's fantastic.
  19. Thanks again. Yeah, I can't really do lyrics either. With time, maybe, but I'm not one who can spin poetry at the drop of a hat. :/ Mandolin?
  20. Thanks! Weeell, most of it. I learnt the main melody off YouTube and went from there.
  21. I can barely play the piano I have very little musical training why do I think I can arrange songs Could I ask you all, both those musically talented and those not, to check this out and tell me what you think of it? Thanks.
  22. I'm a religious-type, and that second line there is actually what I believe happened. ETA: Totally just got ninja'd by Sunbird there. So, what she said. Also, I'm rather fond of the phrase "science is the how, religion is the why". What do you all think?
  23. Gak! Thanks for the reminder!
  24. They work for me now.
  25. Took a five-hour nap yesterday after church. Pros? Catch up on some much-needed sleep. Cons? Lose some much-needed sleep due to the resulting unintentional all-nighter. At least I got to finish a book.
