  1. Hello! For another fifteen minutes, yes.
  2. The good: Just went to Target, and they're hiring! The nice man at the booth explained that because tomorrow is National Hiring Day or somesuch, they're doing on-the-spot interviews at the store (if one applies online first)! Also I got a new notebook. The bad: My hand still aches, and has since I was playing the piano earlier. And it's my dominant hand. Hopefully, Ibuprofen helps. May have to stop by the doc's office if it keeps up. ETA: Hand's better now; will see if it remains so.
  3. I guess that works. But now we're back at who gets to do the asking.
  4. Thank you I remember one time in Government class, the teacher had everyone vote on whether or not it should be mandatory for the guys to pay for a date, and every single girl in the class raised their hand for yes. And I just sat there like, What? Why?? What if, for whatever reason, I'm unable to pay? I shouldn't be prohibited from spending time with someone because I don't have a lot of (or any) disposable income. And who says you need to cough up a wad of cash to have a good time in the first place?! Go to the park! Go on a hike! Heck, just sitting around talking is a perfectly fine date idea! [/rant]
  5. Season 8 was actually one of my favorites. I enjoyed Season 9, but there were a bit too many two-parters for my taste.
  6. So I went on a hike today. The way up was nice, and the canyon was gorgeous. I enjoyed simply sitting there, listening to some good music, and enjoying the cool breeze from the waterfall. Of course, then I opened my eyes and the illusion of meditative solitude was totally shattered, but oh well. The way back, on the other hand... I felt a bit like Gimli. "We dwarves *puff, puff* are natural sprinters! Very *puff, puff* dangerous over short *puff* distances!"
  7. I find the stick to be annoying and everybody's obsession with it even more so. Sorry. More writing-wise, while I like all of Brandon's fantasy, I almost prefer his science fiction. Or, at least I wish he'd write more of it. I don't know how unpopular that opinion is, or even if it is at all, but I get a definite sense that it's not very common one.
  8. Ooh! Radio, microwave, infrared, ultraviolet, X-ray, and gamma. WLIU, name three different galaxy classifications.
  9. And this, children, is why word choice and context matter!
  10. I think we have two, actually. They're just dead.
  11. It wasn't caused by the hurricane, but you just reminded me of the freaky weather Utah just got. As in, there-were-almost-tornadoes freaky weather. Tornadoes aren't supposed to happen in Utah guys what the storms
  12. So I was watching Arrow, and...
  13. This is actually how I did most of my essays in school. I always had trouble getting started, so to get the ball rolling I'd use sarcasm (or just plain humor) to the point that even the Twelfth Doctor would be proud.
  14. Ooohh, right. Okay then. How about, WLIU, name 10 different varieties of tree?
  15. Already asked it. It's to name 8 different characters from The Lies of Locke Lamora.
  16. Is French wine made from grêpes?

  17. Okay, here it is!
  18. To the first bit, yeahhh... I'm also Mormon and living in Utah, and the culture frustrates me sometimes. To the second bit, you reminded me of a post of my uncle's (I recommended it to Twi a while back, too). Part of it said basically the same thing. Interested?
  19. By recurring you mean not the main cast, yes? Colonel Mann (I think that's her rank, anyways...) Eli David Ari Haswari Jimmy Palmer (I think he's recurring; at least, I don't recall him showing up enough to be considered a main character) The Secretary of the Navy (I forget his name, but I don't really care because I don't like him.) Tobias Fornell (Forgot her rank too) Coleman, the JAG officer Agent Cassidy I think they all count. Anyways, WLIU name 8 characters from The Lies of Locke Lamora.
  20. I remember when you first joined, way back two years now, wasn't it? Anyways, since day one, you've been an awesome member and I've always loved reading your stuff.
  21. Thanks. I'm already kinda better, but I don't want to risk spreading anything.
  22. I am recovering from a cold and so will likely not be able to attend. Sorry 'bout that.
