  1. So, a few weeks ago, I was at a performance of the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra (which was fantastic), a local music group. I was sitting not quite in the back row, but still far enough back that I had a good view of the auditorium. I remembered that scene from the Hero of Ages (of all the things to be thinking about during a concert ) when Vin and Elend exit the ball by Allomantically flinging themselves the length of the ballroom. It got me thinking: I wondered if, during concerts on Scadrial, the maestro ever Steeljumped onto the stage from the back of the room, or if less scrupulous composers had Soothers and Rioters planted in the audience. Maybe some musicians are Archivists and store their sheet music in their copperminds, or Sparkers who use their stored mental speed to be able to play more complicated music. In any case, aside from concerts, what parts of everyday life might Allomancy influenced? There were several hints in the broadsheets from Alloy of Law about Metalborn jobs. But I'm curious to see what else there might be.
  2. Peter Hollens. As one YouTube commenter put it, "a study was done at Harvard that proved that angels came down from heaven and sculpted his vocal cords with diamond chisels." Edit: Now I'm listening to remixes on the YouTube channel Proximity. Fantastic.
  3. As fascinating as the ramifications are... ...am I the only one who thinks the Google Doodle is super cute?

  17. Yes, but... It wasn't enough to completely redesign the covers, thus prompting eye-twitching every time I look at my shelf, they HAD TO RENAME THE BOOKS TOO?! [/angry outburst]
  18. OH MY HARMONY YES!
  19. I'm... actually kinda ticked off at the fact that it's called "Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians: The Dark Talent" instead of "Alcatraz vs the Dark Talent".

      No power in the verse you say, but soon verse you will fear

      For no beast shall accost thee if reason and rhyme are near.

      May the feegles sound the mousepipes, sounding ref'rences loud and long;

      And the pow'r of verse shall haunt the 'till- oh wait, I read that wrong...

  21. Anyone who wants to can go.
