  1. Hello! I love collecting cards, and was very intrigued by the Story decks that were released at Dragonsteel Nexis. I saw a thread where people weren’t supposed to sell the cards for profit in an attempt to restrict a secondary market. They’re just supposed to be fun! With that in mind, I was curious if it would be considered “ok” to trade for the cards? I have a decent size collection of cards from the old Wheel of Time TCG that was out in the 1999 time frame. Some are more rare than others, and some are graded examples. If it’s acceptable I’d love to trade some of what I have for some of the Cosmere ones! Heres an example of what they look like. This one is a 1st edition Rand Al’Thor that graded a 9 (mint condition)!
  2. What radiant statues?!
  3. So, as we come together in book 6 I was thinking of the implications of the last scene we see Lift in. Zahel is amazed by her skill. Which is the second time in the book some super powered individual is very complimentary of her fighting skills. Male also mentions it. So Lift gets a decade of training under Zahel who adds in some Awakening aspects. We come back in book 6 to a 5th degree Edgedancer who is now holding a substantial amount of breaths jumping her to XX heightening and powered by Lifelight. Maybe at some point Zahel bestows “all” of his breaths to her including his divine breath as some act of heroism helping her be a savior to someone. Navani maybe? I dunno. Just thought she’d be OP in that light, but seems plausible.
  4. I’ve fallen into the group that believes the Iriali are the missing yellow color of Virtuosity that we see in Yumi where the heon lines are purple and teal. I believe there is a WoB mentioning that there IS. Yellow aspect of Virtuosity in the Cosmere. i love the theory-crafting of who Nohadon is, but while everything others have said makes sense to me in and out of context, I keep coming back to his mannerisms that we see in the various visions. He seems like a very “Reasonable” person, doesn’t he? I would love to hear some thoughts on why he wouldn’t be considered for Reason… Also, do we know who Sixteen is yet? The man hiding in Lasting Integrity?
  5. Was there ever any mention of the color that the 4th moon appeared to be before crashing into Roshar? Venli mentions hearing a 4th rhythm of Roshar just a few chapters after this one…
  6. Was there any indication that of where those crystal spikes came from? Dont they have to kill someone and keep the spikes in blood for the process to work?
  7. Thank you! I didn’t realize. i was thinking they were something like a splintered shard. Or some highly invested, near shard entity like Hoid who reacted the same way while in the visions.
  8. There is an interaction where Wit is talking to Navani about halfway through. Wit is having a panic attack in the ground and is talking to Navani about how he isn’t real so his emotions don’t matter and hes “a puppet for raw investiture.” Then he says “Damn, is this how the Iriali feel?” Who are they? I know they’re an odd group, blind hair (I think) and were working for Ishar. Anyone know what he meant by that?
  9. I think the development will come from the Singers, and aided by Retribution since Stormlight is unavailable at the moment. Did I pick that that up correctly at the end?
  10. So now that we’re post WaT and there is a gap until the next arc begins what does everyone see as advancements for the Rosharan’s? Magnetic Propulsion (4th Brige) Steam Power (“Flares” of domesticated Flame spren going to work in a boiler system to generate steam power. Electricity, steam engines, etc? More Wind based energy from Wind Spren? Fissionable (Fusion? I dunno) reactions when mixing War Light and Stormlight (granted and taught by Retribution) What else do you guys think?
  11. So if there is a time dilation of 80:10 that means Scadrial will realize 80 years of technical advancement starting from a point with automobiles, guns, and skyscrapers. Where Roshar will advance 10 years from a point of clocks, horse back and carriage travel? I guess they’re more advanced on Roshar with fabrials, but there’s no stormlight to advance right now. Thus all advancement at this point comes from the Singers using War light? On the surface it feels like Scadrial will be WAY ahead technologically. Or am I thinking about it backwards?
  12. Yea, I took it as he can provide any of them. Thats gonna be a crazy story to follow in the 2030’s. Haha
  13. I’ve considered this too. Even his relationship with Jasnah throws me for a loop. I just don’t believe he’s into it for the “right” reasons. It reminds of of Ico (Star Lords father) with how he went from planet to planet trying to procreate. Always killing the women. The other thing, is I can’t recall a future version of Hoid where anyone currently involved in Roshar see him in a negative light. Specifically thinking about Sigzil in Sunlit man. There’s no animosity between them. I have to imagine Sigzil would know if Hoid set them all up. Maybe he wouldn’t. I dunno. RAFO!
  14. I was waiting for Odium to take out Cultivation when she was trying to persuade him. Talk about a shocking end to the preview! So they’re going to be sending Odium’s forces (DG?) to the Horneater Peaks? That’s not great for Rock&friends. Hopefully he’s ok, and doesn’t have some untimely calamity arise. El feels like a great match for working with Odium. They’re passion to accomplish what they see fit regardless of any outside details is scary… Do we know who is writing the novel yet? Is it El?
  15. This would flow with my thoughts that Ishar has been in Shinovar for a LONG time altering their path slowly over generations. He’s the voice Szeth hears, he’s responsible for the corruption of the area, and leadership in Shinovar. He’d have the knowledge, connection, and power to end the Oathpact, and could be siphoning some darkness away from the other Heralds to allow them to function slightly. Maybe he doesn’t help Taln because Taln knows the truth?
  16. Thats how it feels to me anyway.
  17. That’s my thought. He’s been involved in Shinovar for quite awhile. He starts planting voices in Szeth’s head, corrupts the city leadership, maybe has his hands in things millennia prior? I dunno. Ishar is corrupted, agrees to give his pain to Odium, uses his bondsmith abilities to creates the connections, and siphons the darkness from other Heralds which in turn gets picked up by the unmade and/or Odium. That would explain why he doesn’t show advanced symptoms of taking all that pain on? Heck, Odium tried to get Dalinar to give him his pain. Maybe Ishar did while corrupted and will be Odiums’ champion. I dunno. It’s late. Hah
  18. Is it possible that Ishar was compromised years ago by whatever Unmade were hanging around Shinovar at the time? I dont think we know what powers those Unmade have. I can see a scenario where Ishar is compromised and is forced to push Szeth into action as Truthless. Setting off all of the turmoil he brought. Now he’s back, and Ishar is talking about how he’s sapping the pain and darkness from the other Heralds. Providing them sort of lucidity. We’d expect it to make things tough on Ishar, but what if the Unmade that has him is powered on that darkness making Ishar and the Unmade more powerful? I was super confused when Lift was acting as Navani. The careless shift made me laugh.
