  1. Dearest Guy Who Lives in the House Above Me Sadly, I have found no way to exit this coffin. I have created a knife fashioned from my own bone, and will try this next. Sorry if my message is slightly bloodstained - I have been building a fire to cauterize the wound, but it’s difficult to get going. Does a Wooden Splinter Count as a Stake? The Residential Vampire

  4. Dearest Guy Who Lives in the House Above Me I am currently unable to help you, for - you see - I am currently a vampire stuck in this coffin. 10. The Flame shakes his head. “I am sorry, Jakob. This will not kill you.” ”But I have selected others. And they will partake.” @Spark of Hope ”Daughter of Mirth. I trust you to choose forces which will balance you and Jakob as keepers of the Archstone.”
  11. Teshan nods. “I am ready.”
  12. Cool! Imma add a poll, actually
  13. The Eternal King opened his mouth, but then froze. Time froze. Good. Now I can do what I need to do. The light separated from Jakob, manifesting as a figure who looked vaguely like The Flame. He put one hand to his side, another deep into the Slumber. With the free hand, he pulled a lattice out of the air. “Many have tried to find a way to restrain the Slumber. And to restrain the Chaos. Me included. They were each missing something, but I bring here a version of the past where Waela succeeded. However, it needs someone to keep it in check.” He brought forth a hand, alit with flame. The lattice was charged with the fire, coursing and changing. But he stabilized it, holding the Slumber to it. The two balanced each other, the Chaos prodding the Slumber along, but the Slumber containing the Chaos. The lattice formed a sort of ethereal illusion of a crown. “I would ask you to share this with the others, please. To put you in charge of it all… it would be like it was before. You need people to balance you.”
  14. The Eternal King raised an eyebrow. “Woah. Grouchy.” It isn’t sentient… place your hand in. His light was more intense than ever, but the darkness was almost liquid around Intellect.

  17. So I read a really interesting book, called Ella Minnow Pea. The book was interesting for multiple reasons, but one of them was it’s format - no direct action, just epistolary format. The characters would write letters to each other, and the reader reads those letters. AND THAT WOULD BE A COOL RP FORMAT. So I’m thinking we’d have a) One or two Gamemakers - these people give prompts, things like “The local government has outlawed the use of the letter ‘d’” b) The peoples - you would have control over what happens to you, your family, or your house. Smt like so and so got sick, the house collapsed, or I was arrested and flogged for using the forbidden letter. Keep in mind - you guys are going to be writing to eachother, so y’all need to have at least some connection. Hang on - imma add a bit of a thing. Y’all are on an isolated island nation for this, umm… y’all are citizens. Simply state who you’ll be playing, and why you may be sending letters to others in the beginning. And if you’ll be a GM, you will need to post a notice (doesn’t have to be from a set person) when something happens. Here is an excerpt from ella minnow pea as an example (though this one is particularly long……..)
