  1. @DaveSouls @Dragonheir @Through The Living Glass @Wierdo @Spark of Hope Retlen stares to the distance. A town was just barely visible. They had decided to go around the town, making camp to the side.
  2. Ista calms Erif, and looks around. “What is the nature of this problem?” (I would not mind starting with the plotblades (cuz that’s the only plot I’ve been there for [*blinks in fraction of a fraction of plot*])
  3. I resist my head being torn by teleporting behind you, and stab you with a shadow knife.
  4. “We do not travel too far; our teleportation can only do so much. We have only travelled throughout our star system, so the distance required for light to travel is much less.” SIMON could reach the rifle. @DaveSouls Tenth grabs ammunition for his rifle, as well as looks around hopefully for an exosuit.
  5. The server brings a plate to her table, as well as a glass. In front of him, a gigantic pie appeared. From any other observer, though, nothing was there.
  6. The Burnt Man grinned, and reality distorted around Cole. "You understand, then."
  7. eh but canonically Adtae's face also banishes spirits @Vyzkel
  8. Tenth nodded. "We had long distance wave comms. Essentially just Dashed Code. We have an entire planet dedicated to this, computing in real time the relative angle and position of the receiver planets and sending a constant reproduction and duplicate of the most important network traffic."
  9. The sweet taste of death gives me strength I murder Adin, and heal Yeden Adin - DEEEEAAAAD!!!!!!! Allomancer Jak - 10 Allriandre - 2 Daggon - 5 Drehy - 5 Forch - 4 Ishikk - 7 Jushu - 4 Liyun - 7 MeLaan - 6 Mennis - 5 Puuli - 5 Ryan - 5 Sheler - 5 Truth-is-Waiting - 5 Twinsoul/Prasanva - 7 Walin - 6 Yeden - 6 Ym - 6
  10. Tenth hesitated. "Why..." He frowned. The last question had never occurred to him. Why were they conquerors? He decided to ignore it. "We have tried combining them, and it has been successful. However, we do not have abundant quantum computing or AI, so the breakthrough is slightly contained. A central computer. This," he gestured to a button, speaker and microphone on the rifle, "was supposed to receive and send messages from and to the central AI. It's been quiet since I travelled here, though.
  11. WOW. That was a lot... you should put these on a separate thread, that would help considerably with the effort to compile this into a book. Ista stared at him. "What are you doing, Erif?"
  12. The Burnt Man frowned grimly. "Don't you think I've tried that? And what has that earned me? The title of Madness, of all things. Chaos, I might except, but Madness is just an insult."
  13. The Burnt Man snickered. "Yea. They try to cut my off from my right, but I have preventive measures against that."
  14. Tenth nodded. "We have recently undergone many technological advancements. AI, quantum computing, and fusion energy. Our weapons of war... they are great as well. We use this teleportation to conquer other planets. I... I was the general. The Tenth of the Giants, for that is what we called ourselves. The Giants, overshadowing the lives of our citizens."
  15. I am Adtae. You? I... I need to get back. I am important to my world. Many have labelled me "Death", but I am not nearly so malicious as that. I was... once... but that was before. Before I died.
  16. The Burnt Man faltered. "No... they are no longer on the wind. Once that might have worked... but no longer." "I'd bet one of those spirits once on the wind taught her." The Burnt Man snickered. A blueprint... but that carries an incorrect connotation. It implies the Archstone is a creation of Intellect, when it is really of Madness. It is what she used to bind the world to reality; it was the source of most her power before she agreed to bind herself away from the world. She was curious, you see, what would happen should she abandon this world. But doing this also removed her influence upon us, allowing us agency. But... she did not like what happened with her withdrawal... and the Servants are a result of that. Manipulating the proximity of threads of the Archstone, pulling on them, to bend reality. Intellect would have a better explanation. It is... Never mind. That is not relevant. Only Madness or her Servants can use it to its fullest power... its design is too complex. Intellect has studied it since Madness was bound, but to no avail.
  17. Yes. It reminds me of... of our hopes for the world, before Madness took control, and after we bound her with the Archstone.
  18. Tull shook his head, and Ista intervened. "The woman, if she can even be called that, is not natural. She is a force of nature, a primary component of the world. Or at least, the original is. She has been copied over from another dimension; thankfully that has limited her abilities. The reason she would want Chaotic Darkness is because they align with her... personality best. She is Madness, you see. Her goal here would be to enter as many empowered people's minds as possible, turning their very conscience against them. It is this way she tries to control them, to further her goals. But now, she may only affect those who have the same origins as her. Those who were copied by the same person who copied her. I serve another one of these forces of nature, with a similar situation. He is less... chaotic... though. He is named Intellect." A pause. "I also have a... strained... relationship with Mirth. The powers she gives me are what allowed me to push emotions onto the beast." She looked again at the symbol, then contacted Intellect. You see anything else like this with any of your other Servants?
  19. Tenth hesitated. "I'm not sure what it means, exactly. But perhaps we can test it. Different scenarios. I... I'm not very good at this Giant discipline."
  20. ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok oops THANKS INSPECTOR! Tull shook himself, then answered. "She has an interest in Narrators. I believe she might prefer Withergiests (they are chaotic evil, I believe? that is what matches Madness' personality best. Chaos is preferable for her, tho), but they are gone. I stole something of hers, and I was weak, so she chose me." Ista had sketched the symbol and was studying it. She flipped it towards the inspector questioningly.
  21. Granted. All instruments were harmed in the making of this message. I wish for Wish, from DnD, or True Polymorph.... Or just Wish from Slay the Spire.
  22. Because my mask prevents me from speaking, I awkwardly lift it while limiting your exposure to my eyes. "Wanna go torment Vyz?"
