I think the entire novel takes place in the Spiritual Realm, as some sort of echo of a dead dragon’s mind (the dragon being the demon)

there are just too many things that break the established PR laws

like

time travel

and a single demon thing bleeding multiple rivers of blood

if not all SR, tho, at least some. Or it’s similar to what happened to Yumi
