My Capstone Seminar teacher is a freaking bad teacher

She tells us to do research, then gets on us when it isn’t perfect.

and then she tells us to just write a thesis, and will criticize exact word choice, and if she doesn’t like a word (even a valid word), you can’t use it.

And then, OH! Write this research paper! Write a PARAGRAPH A DAY!

Except, you need six sources and commentary (3x as much as your evidence!) per paragraph! And these paragraphs, I could talk about how to write them, but I’d prefer to tel you to “write academically” and then let you figure it out! And then I can very slightly mock you when your wording is wrong!

Like, the standards are so much higher, which I don’t mind, but she doesn’t do anything to address that, she just expects you to meet them.
