  1. Aaron pulled out a few devices, each slightly different in color. “These stick to your shoes, and let you change your gravity so you can walk on any surface at any orientation.”
  2. “May be a good idea”
  3. “Not particularly.” He smiled. “Thank you.”
  4. She hesitated, but pulled out a tablet and showed him. “It stops the self destruct. I don’t know what model his self destruct was, but he’ll either detonate a 5 mile crater, or he’ll shoot us all before himself to stop any information from getting out.” Starlight’s face drained of color. “D-detonate?” Raven looked over at him and nodded
  5. Aaron looked at her, confused. “You are… so weird”
  6. He looked over at Pana. “Look, I’m sorry I was a piece of crap. I’m not trusting right off the bat like most people are. I literally wasn’t raised with social skills, I was raised by myself, stealing to survive.”
  7. Starlight’s eyes widened. “Y-you’re Raven. You- you worked with them. You helped willingly,” he stuttered, terrified he was going to be taken back She frowned. “I- I am. I’m sorry, Starlight. I didn’t understand what they were doing. I- Please. Let me help you. If I don’t… everyone in this train will die.”
  8. He nodded slightly. "Understandable."
  9. He snapped his fingers and pointed at her. "Firey. I like it."
  10. He shrugged. "Eh, you'll see him again eventually, I'm sure."
  11. Do any of you for whatever reason just have kicks of listening to sad music that's good for some reason?

Like I've been listening to Les Mis, Numb little bug, Anastasia, and all this other stuff an I can't figure out why

  12. He whistled. "Cuddling on the couch and you just vanished? That's gotta kill the mood."
  13. Not even really left, she took her to her father and abandoned her there
  14. "Fantastic question. I have no clue. I was talking to someone looking to hire me then... I just appeared here. Had to take a moment to adjust to the height."
  15. He shrugged. “I run into people that entertain me. Some people don’t know when I’m just trying to push them to see how far they go. Like those two,” he said, pointing at Lia and Pana
  16. He shrugged. "No one to worry, nowhere to go, I find it nice not to have family 'cause it gives me the freedom to live off the land. Do what I want, go where I want. Don't need to worry 'bout anyone missing me if I kick the bucket."
  17. "Ah, family. Glad I don't have any for that reason."
  18. He chuckled. "Why are you here then? Why not live in some cushy place in a nicer story, or even in the real world?"
  19. He squatted by the edge of the building. "What's your story? Feel like we're all here for somethin."
  20. He shrugged. "I thrive when I'm not being held down," he said as he moved back onto the roof.
  21. "Wasn't raised by anyone. I had to raise myself. That's what storyhopping is for. People pay me to steal things out of stories for them."
  22. "I call myself Aaron. Never had an actual name given to me."
  23. "It's a sci-fi story, it's easy to get something that can let me know when new people arrive. What's your name?" he asked, squatting down on the side of the building
  24. His head popped up over the building’s ledge. “Another one?”
