    They can, grammatically and as complete sentences. Somemeaning may be lost, but not enough to warrant keeping them together

    No, there should be a comma there. Even if it's two actions, they're in the form of two separate sentences which as it stands are run-on sentences

    Since Sequence is a Narrator, I'm fairly certain that was intended to be the invitation, relying on others to see the text. It turns right to a split. As a suggestion, you might want to mark your spot somehow.
