Here is the current outline: Bloodcaller Set primarily on The Crimson, massive island on the center of one of 3 continents. It is ruled by the Worldking, a master of Bloodcalling, a dark art that was considered taboo for thousands of years, until he Mastered it, using it to start the Crimson Guild and dominating the people with his elite group of Bloodcallers called the Crimson Knights. They are a combination of assassins, cavaliers, and foot soldiers. They can burn away their own blood to increase their strength, speed, durability, senses, and a number of other things. This magic can be used for other things, like traditional spells: fireballs, flight, weapon enchanting, illusions, summoning objects, and creating animated beings. This is however, only the start. But, we can go into that later. Setting: The Crimson had been blessed with massive natural defenses, and incredible agriculture ability. This however required an incredible amount of Bloodcalling, and turned all non-human Flora and Fauna a dark red, which gave the mega island its name. It has sizable cliffs that can't be climbed by an ordinary man. It has a field quadrant, a forest quadrant, a mountain quadrant, and a desert quadrant. At the center of it all is Bloodcrest, a massive capital city, spanning hundreds of square miles. It takes 3 days to get from end to end on foot. Magic: Users can burn away blood that they are touching to power several different types of spells. They are directed by thought, but have a byproduct rune that can be sensed by Bloodcallers nearby. The spells either Burn away a larger amount of blood Burn away a specific number of milliliters of blood a minute The spells are basically limited by the user's knowledge and imagination.

That sounds great, thanks

Inability to directly harm someone. Thats why he needs protection
-
Oops. Sorry, third ideal. And, will give him a Torment, for being such a good soldier. Sorry.
-
Yes, Skix is a Skybreaker, of the 3rd ideal. He has not broken his bond. I say that, Idoten, courtesy of his insecurities is prone to failing to draw Aons without the device (This is an official flaw. His insecurities dampen his ability to use Aons). His parents are just monsters. Really bad people. It is a unique case. They didn't trust Elantris either.

I'm new, so I don't know if this is a breach of protocol, but doing my best. I'm sure you have a life to go about @Koloss17, but I wondered if you could look again at the character profile.

How to write a good Dark/Light Magic System

I enjoy that idea, however, the main character is the so called Herald of Light, and the only one that can use light magic. I give you my congratulations on a excellent Idea though. -
I was making the outline of a story about two characters, that are the opposite of their respective magics. Now, their magic is very cliche (Spears of Darkness, Beams of Light). However, I want a more definable way to measure their strength. Any Ideas?

K thanks. I'll get on that.

He reasoned "If my family doesn't love me, can anyone?". He became well loved and respected. This is because he become a protector of the people. However, he would sometimes use this as an excuse to hurt rivals, or learn of other Invested magic types on Sel. Despite this, he never lost his will to protect people. However, shortly before the Reod this was exposed to the general public. He retreated to his mansion in Elantris. He then became a scholar. He, when experimenting with Aons, misused Aon Tia and created Alley right before the Reod, escaping its effects. Stole a Awakened machine that allowed him to hack Aon Dor off of Sel, from the Ghostbloods, and saved Skix with it. The machine is currently in his possession. He was so devastated by their change of sides that he traveled into a highstorm almost broke his bond. However, the Stormfather convinced him not to and the thread of connection left caused an instability, creating an ally sending him to Alleycity, where he became a sort of Constable. He was confronted by the Ghostbloods after killing one of their members while carrying a Dawnshard (Given to him temporarily, by Hoid), it was at this point in time that he was saved by Idoten. He currently resides with him, and they are best friends. Loose Ends: Wants justice for the Skybreaker Betrayal Wants to know his parents. @Koloss17 Ready for reveiw (Again)

So this is where I submit a character. I'm new to the Shard, so how does this all work? Sorry. Hello? Nevermind I got this

As an idea, you could say, with an extensive knowledge of the sky, create dots of light that would have an effect based on the constellations human interpretation. For example, a constellation assigned to the Fire God might allow the user a burst of fire. Of course, this is very similar to Elantrian magic, so do what suits you. One more idea. There are major stars and minor stars. on this world it is always a form of night. Each star has its own thing. For example, the Fjordstar, Denizen of Ice. When called upon, this star can be manipulated into freezing large areas. If you want to access them though, it requires incredible strength. Play around with it and give me what you decided on.I am interested to hear how it turns out.

Lets go. Now the true question: Spear or Blade?
-
@Through The Living Glass you're a member? Well me too. I would visit Azir, or the Shattered Plains/Uritheru if that counts. I consider myself an intellectual, and Azir just sounds pretty cool, plus with the empire it is larger. The other two for obvious reasons. Also, I didn't eat the cookie . Also, I am a windrunner: I took the quiz

Dilaf. He's just plain evil and has no redeemable traits. Also he's just weak. A full Dahkor and he gets beat by a couple of Elantrians and a 1/8 Dahkor Hrathen. My mommy told me not to take candy from strangers. LOL Great question. We have decided you can get Stormlight brainfreeze tho. Hemalurgy??? Uh... Cool I guess. I mean it kept Marsh alive, and it looks epic, so good enough, even if its inhumane Also check out the if you wre an epic. I'm gunslinger.

Epic Name: Gunslinger 1. Primary Energy blasts. Will disintegrate a whole human body, and cause explosions. 1a: Secondary Precognition/danger sense. More Atium level than true future sight. 1b. Tertiary Invulnerability. Impervious to bullets, and other handheld weapons. Doesn't go as high as bombs or tank rounds. This is a mostly hidden ability, as he has never really been able to showcase it. 2. Weakness Feeling really truly alone. He was separated from his family in the desert of Texas, and his Epic self has made this fear greater. 3. I have a twisted sense of Justice. For example, if someone were to get robbed, I would kill the victim for being weak, reasoning that he had brought it upon himself. What do you think?

Gunslinger Radiant here. I'm an all around Sanderfan and enjoy talking about things like the flavor of Stormlight.
