    The Stormfather merged with Tanavast's cognitive shadow, could it be that at this time there was just more of Tanavast present 7.5 years ago, but he has been fading and by the time we get to WoK he is more dissipated?

    Thank you! I'd forgotten that the line became part of the Aon on completion, I was thinking of it as a band-aid. The walls of Elantris and the surrounding cities are vertically upwards to make the Aon Rao, but because the chasm is a rift would it have to be a dent in the earth like Raodan's mark to work? Would a wall do the same as it's just completing the shape in its 2D form as seen from above?

    Raoden draws the chasm line in the ground with a simple stick to restore Elantris, but how is it being maintained after? Have they come up with a more permanent solution? Is the line under guard? If someone snuck in and filled in his dirt line would the Reod re-occur?

    Ooooh, that's an interesting take! I always did wonder why Harmonium was so volatile. I understand that the 2 Shards have opposing Intents, but with Sazed claiming 'Harmony' it felt like his metal should reflet that. That's right! It's created by the sheer volume of Investiture, hence Threnody having an incredibly unstable one. The mechanics had slipped my mind a bit.

    Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, first post and unsure where exactly to put it, but have tagged spoilers. If Harmony's Intent did shift to Discord, would he get a new God Metal and Perpendicularity? Or is his metal and location just linked to the fact that he holds both Shards, not the Intent of the joined shard?
