  1. “Alright.” Rebus grins, and assembles an arm on the table. Nanomachines move the Nullite into different configurations, first set as designs, then one point, then a paint-like coating, then molecularly bonded. Rebus Narrates it intermittently, testing the cancelation areas.
  2. Rebus grins at her. “I have a few Nullite experiments I’d like to try, in light of recent information. I figured my office can do without the shielding for the time being.” He sets it down on a table, and has the door seal itself, for good measure also locking the adjacent rooms. “Would you like to watch?”
  3. Cole dives for it, Calmsighting it to ensure it is the real thing. “What do you mean something’s wrong?”
  4. Rebus walks into a blast-proof lab room in Entoturis, carrying a small block of Nullite and grinning to himself.
  5. Cole weaves, clipping the bottom blob, going around the next two, then attempting to slam into the core.
  6. Alright, I suppose that makes sense. Honestly even if it didn’t, I like my idea enough that I would find some excuse. Rebus: here, take a teleportation beacon so you can contact me. I’m always willing to help. Shoe: too bad he left - let’s summon the Narrator who’s potentially the entire problem, and at least probably corrupted with ash. Although admittedly I was asleep, so it would have delayed your storyline to call him.
  7. Rebus nods, extinguishing his own light. “A final trial… The original Narrators were Luxsprites, correct? The ones who journeyed this before.”
  8. “Alright, then.” He smiles and hands Shoe a teleportation beacon. “This can be used to contact me if you ever do need anything. Enjoy the beach.” Then, he teleports away.
  9. Rebus pulls the various toxic compounds that have accumulated from Shoe’s body. “That you for your help - your Nullite is uncontaminated. Do you need anything?”
  10. “I suppose so. Think of it like moisturizing cream - that generally helps.” The nanomachines take stock of how the Nullite is bonded to Shoe’s cells, then begin to leave. “I can detox you if you want, while the nanomachines are there anyway. Although I suppose you can probably Ennull carcinogens and similar substances out of existence.”
  11. “Thank you. If you need anything from me, feel free to ask. I can make you a teleportation beacon, if you would like.” He brings utility fog in through Shoe’s pores, having it to go around and check for Nullite, search for corruption ash, and perform other diagnostics.
  12. “Yeah. There’s all kinds of stuff going on, though some of it turned out to be a dream or something.” Rebus shows Shoe a hologram of the two metal cages that got disintegrated. “Anyway, I wanted to ensure you didn’t get any of this stuff in you, and to figure out how to get Bat’s tattoos working without any ink to work off of.”
  13. Rebus puts his hands out in a calming gesture. “I attempted to fix Bat’s tattoos - they were disappearing, if you recall - and wanted to ensure I didn’t cause any problems.” He grimaces, then shrugs. “I figured that doing a medical examination could help me avoid turning Bat - or anyone else - into an Ennuller. And Bat’s people’s Nullite supply has been contaminated, so I wanted to make sure you wouldn’t start turning things to ash as well.”
  14. Ah. And the substance of reality is Prismite, so it can be made that way. Do you know of any instances of non-human Ennullers? Rebus tries to think of other mutual acquaintances who could vouch for him. Then he realizes his entire purpose in being there is invalid, since he has medical data from Cricket. “I also know Cricket and Tam, though I haven’t interacted with them very much.” “I was here to try to get interviews so I can solve Bat’s tattoo issues - I’ve been told you got injected by the tattoo ink and became an Ennuller.”
  15. Rebus smiles at him, calmly walking from over from down the beach. “I mean you no harm. My name is Rebus; I’m a Narrator and scientist. I’m pretty new around here, but I’m friends with Bat and helped build Entoturis and a transportation network.” He stops around ten feet from Shoe and sits on a beach chair built from utility fog, making others for Shoe and the assorted Buffet Gang members still there.
  16. I read the blog, but it wasn’t very clear about where the substances actually come from. Ennullers can make Nullite? Rebus sends back a shrug. I was attempting to improve Bat’s tattoos and - wait a minute. Shoe is an Ennuller, too. I’ll go ask. @Through The Living Glass, Rebus either teleports to near Shoe or walks out of that portal to Entoturis if it’s actually near Shoe and still open. “Hello, Shoe. How are you today?”
  17. I'm rather bored, so I think I'll throw out a character inventory and a bunch of plot hooks. Kion is still in Ragnarok, doing... something. Going through the caverns, maybe? Template is hanging around in Somewhere, having lost all details of their location. The Render is still in the Endless Field. It's started walking, but the field is unfortunately endless. Sagerian is probably still at that bar. Meat the Minstrel is waiting to be summoned. A ball of darkness is hanging out somewhere waiting to interact with people. Capt'n Exposition is still flying around on Hail the whale, waiting for someone to need something explained. A warehouse full of sci-fi technology is on fire for some reason. The peak of a mountain has begun to float, though it hasn't fully separated yet. Entoturis is open and has a few unspecified visitors. Rebus's transportation network is beginning to open, small orbs materializing and lifting into the air anywhere people might be or want to be. Rebus himself is still doing research (@NameIess, where does Nullite come from? Does it do anything other than block Narration?), watching the trial, waiting for Atredies to come back, and talking to Desolation. Other copies of him have done some other things. One copy of Rebus reaches out to the Scribe (@SpiritOfWrath). Can I borrow Tenth for a little while? I want to do some medical scans on an Ennuller. I can ask him myself or wipe his memory, depending upon how much he's supposed to know about you.
  18. As Jerehlu gets the knife away from his throat, Alvar releases the valve on his other hand, freezing a blade to replace it. "Simple. You're a hostage. If they do like you as much as you think, I can get a bounty for capturing every one of you alive. Give fifty percent to the other adventures for their help imprisoning your group, and I've got a nice profit. If they don't like you, I kill you and become the new leader."
  19. Rebus walks down the stairs, slowing down so Desolation can lead.
  20. Thank you. Aw man, I lost. Wait, never-mind! I’ve won again! I’m not that sick at this point. Yesterday I was kinda addled and dizzy, but now I’m just tired and sneezing.
  21. Cole dodges and weaves, taking only a couple hits as he flies up to meet the cloud of darkness.
  22. I think I remember those! The titles were all things like Majek, Physik, and Flyte. Also I’m still sick. Also, I have won for the first time!
  23. “Yes… I have a few issues with your analogy, but they are irrelevant to your point. I can make images, though, just as that factory could be used to make paper for a drawing of the forest.” He begins to walk down the stairs that probably exist. The piece of paper, having had only one enchantment on it, doesn’t answer. He could go confront Meat himself, though. Would you be surprised to hear that I probably had the beginnings of a cold when I wrote that?
  24. Cole blasts upwards, knowing he can conserve his life force and actually gain more the higher he gets in the air. His coat pulls taught, catching the wind as he soars towards Fear.
