The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
Through the Living Heir replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I guess Shoe can pass the readiness test. Beosta certainly doesn't The assassin only had a dagger, but dashed towards not Shoe, but Beosta. Rebus remained impassive, now standing behind Shoe.- 111825 replies

"Are you alright? You drank something and then fell unconscious." Let's see... see how this |-| is different than this H? And actually, the current design looks more like this: ____ |||||- 111825 replies

Rebus sighed, and shut the door. And that was when the assassin chose to close duck behind the wall, and close the gap between them - all in utter silence. Rather than having the long-ways lines stop at the short-ways line, the short-ways lines can stop at the long-ways line.- 111825 replies

True Narrators - those who fully accept their powers - are masters of their personality. To take pleasure from harming others is detrimental to achieving your goals. Rebus helped Symbol through the door, though he was careful to ensure it did not shut behind them.- 111825 replies

"Time. If we can make someone capable of rewinding time, every experiment, no matter how risky, can be performed. It may be impossible - it certainly is by my knowledge of physics, but I've heard stories of the other test subjects here."

"I got into this because I wanted to be better, smarter. You're not using me to the full potential that you could be - I want to head an experiment." "I got into this because I wanted to be better, smarter. You're not using me to the full potential that you could be - I want to head an experiment."

The room was tilting a bit, too. Is that not every trait ones such as us possess? I have been very careful not to change what I want. Rebus solidified another door, then opened the first. Wow. For the probably-teleporter, maybe switching the line priorities can help? One line longways with shorter lines coming off of it (also quite convenient for holding on to). Yeah, lean and smirk are good. He's got like six different smiles He'd go with striking greyscale unless he was trying to blend in. Actually, do you think white would work? Blank and grey accents, at the edges and maybe the seam lines. As for design, I agree that the one on the left is really complicated - maybe it'd work for the party, but not for everyday use.- 111825 replies

Will did so, coming into the room and sitting down. While he was listening to the man, he absentmindedly took stock of the room.
-
"Hello, sir."
-
Will smiled at the man. Not that appearances were much to go off of - an experiment designed to make a person appear trustworthy would be exactly what he'd do if he had the organization's resources and lack of ethics.

The room was a little swirly. Probably just the soda. (To clarify, it is - Shoe does not see this) Something of your nature takes pleasure in hurting others, does it not? Rebus thought. I had wondered how you managed to fall behind even a metafictional solipsist in terms of ethics. Rebus, having expected something of the sort, mostly caught Symbol before she hit the ground - though used to enhanced reflexes, he did not so much catch her as ensure her fall did not result in a concussion. Still, though, he took the key and the vial, and poked a teleporting door with a torch.- 111825 replies

Rebus was standing behind her, and still talking to Shoe. How drunk is she at this point? Rebus looked into her eyes. "I understand, and I will understand."- 111825 replies

"In the hands of most people, soda is perfectly innocent." Rebus is standing behind Beosta, then. There were still more, though Rebus was about to stop the refilling. "I'm glad I'm here." Rebus's grin became happy rather than viscous. "Narration is definitely going to be taken away, but I still have my Thread Awareness."- 111825 replies

Like, are they next to each other or facing each other? Rebus appeared, facing the two of them. @Bird Furious "My apologies - the table was meant to stock as many drinks as needed. "- 111825 replies

Some more appeared. Just out of curiosity, how are they positioned? Rebus grinned, very proud of himself. I don't know about Lady Bug, but if I were on the receiving end of the grin, I'd be running. "Of course. I don't need magic or technology to be a threat."- 111825 replies

“I don’t usually need them, but Lady Bug took away all my magic and technology. Well, constructed a body for me without it.” The ground caught them and put them back on the table. Blink blink. Rebus? Also, Beosta is right. She doesn’t get high on soda, she gets drunk. There’s a difference.- 111825 replies

Planetfall: The Civilization Roleplay
Through the Living Heir replied to Negative_Null's topic in Roleplaying
After much discussion, the scientists decide that the crystals are likely used by the plants as some sort of combustion catalyst, akin to mitochondria on earth. Such a material is very useful, but biotech and fire do not mix well… Once some redundancy was acquired more investigation could be done. The architects and technicians were already arguing about whether frivolous buildings rather than time-tested, gravity-optimized designs were worth wasting the limited resources. @Negative_Null- 42 replies

While they were waiting, Will looked at the buttons and estimated the travel time, trying to figure out how tall the facility was.

Even through Shoe had poured out the cola, there was more to be found. There were also energy drinks. Rebus smiled at Symbol. “I did tell you I’d come with you if I could.” “You mustn’t worry - I’ve killed the withergeist already. Omnicide is rather poor decision making, and I hold enough power that withergeist bonds hold no temptation.” “Ding ding ding!” Heir grinned. “You get a prize!” Rebus would have to do something about that. Perhaps the next test would help him be more aware of his surroundings in the future.- 111825 replies
