  1. She looked at the ground and accepted the coat. "I . . . I already tried that. A few times."
  2. His plate was suddenly missing from his hands. ". . . Yeah, I am. I'm guessing that's not a good thing, huh?" she said, agitated.
  3. She summoned two more pancakes. One landed on her plate, and the other landed on Bat's head. It was very sticky. "If I had to guess, it's someone's kid." Then she continued to eat her meal like nothing had happened.
  4. dangit right Granted. You can't see that shade of blue, though. I wish to not be able to draw pigeons or eldritch summoning signs.
  5. She laughed and two more pancakes appeared on his plate. The tiny hand (which was now covered in butter and syrup) reached up again and patted the tabletop confusingly before disappearing. There was a soft shuffling sound, and suddenly one of Tam's pancakes were missing. "Hey!" she said, grinning.
  6. Granted. You have to go to bed on time, my guy. I wish to not be able to draw pigeons.
  7. There were quiet munching noises from under the table. Then the hand shot out again and grabbed a second one, which subsequently led to more munching noises. "Wow, Bat, you ate those fast," Tam joked, pretending not to have seen anything. "True . . . uh, anyway. These pancakes are pretty good! How's your pie, Cricket?"
  8. She narrowed her eyes. "Thought you were older. Oh well," she shrugged, smiling.
  9. *cough* Well then, it was definitely a good thing that Tam didn't know about that as she ate her pancakes. Speaking of which . . . A small hand suddenly shot out from under the tablecloth and snatched one of Bat's pancakes, then retreated.
  10. Granted. You can't help but singing about medicine and sugar at random intervals for the rest of your life. Also you like pigeons way too much now. I wish for better drawing skills.
  11. She nodded.
  12. "Thank you," Tam said, smiling at her appreciatively before starting to eat. She let go. "Wait, you are an adult, right?" she said, suddenly becoming slightly weirded out. "I thought you were like . . . twenty-two or twenty-three?" 'Twas fate.
  13. She nodded. - Indeed, he should have been ashamed for expressing such a base need to absolutely no one. How dare he.
  14. She raised an eyebrow as they went ahead, then followed. "August?" she called. "Where are we going?"
  15. She sighed and, after a moment, hesitantly gave him a side hug. "Maybe we should focus on something else for a while, yeah? We're here to get some rest and lay low for a while, that's all." *tsk tsk* How dare he be hungry.
  16. Niamh shrugged and followed after collecting her own horse. She rode up next to June and July. "You okay?" she asked the former.
  17. She nodded. "Thank you." "I . . . wouldn't blame you for that." Especially not now . . . "Some of them. I'm sure the Ennullers could deal with most of them."
  18. He was actually pretty successful at making a stern face, despite what his Author was implying.
  19. "Well, I'm not fine with it, so there." She nodded, smiling a little. "Yeah." (@Ookla the Irreplaceable)
  20. "Well I worry that your stupid past is going to get you killed!" she laughed sadly. be back in 45 mins btw
  21. "Dangit, Cricket!" she cried suddenly. "We need you now, alright?!" "I . . . made my own choices. That's still not your fault."
  22. "You . . . saved me from . . . freezing in the woods," Tam replied softly. Gosh, she felt colder just thinking about it. "Who you didn't even know was alive," she added. aw thanks but I just made a stupid joke
  23. erm, actually, hypothermia. *cough* I hate myself rn it's fine Tam didn't really know what to say to that, so she just put her other hand on his arm in a comforting way. She shrugged. "Maybe both. Who knows?"
  24. ". . . Technically, yes. But then he decided he wanted to kill the rest of us on a whim, so . . . still not your fault."
