    "Oh . . ." She took them. "Joy . . ." She summoned some water and downed them as quickly as she could, doing her best not to think about how gross that was. She wiped her mouth when she was done. "Thanks." She stiffened slightly. Honestly? Honestly . . . her heart ached every time she thought about not just killing Stone, but about what she'd almost done after . . . what she had done. I'm fine. Just . . . a little sad, I guess. I'm glad you two are still alive . . . Not unless Cricket wants him to, I guess. Tam wouldn't really know anyway.

    Tam nodded, grabbing the blanket again. "Do you have anything that could help Cricket? He drank a whole cup of coffee right before we came in here . . ." Yes yawned and laid down on the ground. "Um . . . Yes? Are you parents around?" Tam asked her, even though she was pretty sure she already knew the answer. Yes shook her head. "No. My mom's dead. Don't know where my dad is anymore." "Oh." She grabbed another blanket and pillow and arranged them on the ground for the younger girl. "You can sleep here, if you'd like." But Yes was already asleep. Tam smiled soberly and grabbed a blanket and pillow for herself.

    Tam got curious, and so scooted over to them "How much do you have in there, Bat? I swear you have an endless supply- which wouldn't surprise me, to be honest, but still." She giggled and ran off into the barn somewhere. Suddenly, his bag was missing again.
