    She reached into her pocket and pulled out a little toy horse. There were gears and a steel coil in a cage on the underside, and little ropes running through the legs and head. Very steampunk-esque. She set it on the ground and wound the mechanism up, then let go. It wasn't particularly fast because of its size, but it did look pretty fun. - "No, we'll figure something out," she whispered back. "And I know that."

She walked into the living room and sat them both down on the floor. No. No, they would find some way out of this. They always did before . . . why not again? . . . She gripped Aden's arm, just in case.
