The entire land mass ahead of them seemed to have dropped into the earth a few hundred feet, though it was more likely that the portion they were on had just risen in some massive geological event. The basin was will with all kinds of trees of every Fall color, and rivers and lakes were spread throughout. The whole thing was covered in a light mist. Wow. "Great." She burst through the door and tackled Violet when she saw her (assuming she's there).

"I know, okay?!" she sobbed through gritted teeth. "I'm trying to be calm! I'm trying . . ." She cried harder.

    She just shrugged and turned back to the path, grinning. So there are some cliffs with really pretty views, and I think there are some caves that are part of a larger system 'round here . . . shouldn't be too hard to find. Either of those sound interesting? She had pulled her knees up to her chest and was crying into them.
