  1. My daughter plays the flute, and I’ve been able to get some notes out of it. Does that make me eligible for this group?
  2. Question for the DNDers out there… I have a new group starting up soon, so I’m working on a character. Ever since reading Mistborn I’ve wanted to play that as a class. I’ve looked at a few different home brews and [this one](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LluOPkSnwtgizPnU3ea) seems to be the most thought out (plus I already sent that to my DM and she approved it). Unfortunately I can’t find that particular home brew in dnd beyond. I’d either need to use one of the Mistborn subclasses they have in their system or manually enter the details into an app like Fight Club or Prism, which is not trivial. To date I’ve only used official classes/races, so before I go through that trouble, has anyone here used either the class I linked to or any of the D&D Beyond homebrew subclasses? Was the system for the character fairly well balanced or did it feel like you were too OP?
  3. Is there something going on real-time tomorrow? How often should I be checking up on this?
  4. I’m working on a backstory for a Mistborn D&D character. I was thinking it would be cool if she lived in the time appx 100 years after Rashek’s ascension. Iirc That was when Mistborn really started appearing, and they were much more powerful then. I then thought it would be interesting if she was a descendant of Alendi. Has it ever been said if he had children before he died? Is there any info out there on this time period? sorry if it’s been asked before, I’m afraid of searching/browsing too much until I finish Rhythm of War!
  5. Name: Shifty Shadows Age (12-18): 17 Gender: Male Preferred District: 3 Alliance (yes or no?): Depends on the alliance. Trust is hard, but so is survival. Skills: Information & social engineering; Shifty is a master at finding out information, selling secrets, basically any espionage. Personality: Little to no social skills, does not trust anyone, paranoid Preferred Weapon: butterfly knife, dagger, he’s one of those Stabby Stabby guys Other: How close to the HG lore are we going here? A possible backstory: Shifty was among of group of teenage elites chosen to serve District 3 as espionage agents in the rebellion during the previous games. During that time he had an opportunity to not only gain important information on the candidates but also learn where to find that information if he needed it in the future… Also, I know nothing of Threnody yet. Will I be safe from major plot spoilers? Is there reading I should do first that would help me appreciate the game?
  6. Thanks! I just read the introduction to the new rp and the first page or so of the Stormlite Hunger Games. Very intriguing, I may volunteer as tribute for this.
  7. Hello everyone! After reading for so long, I have finally crossed through Shadesmar and travelled here via Oathgate, to become a part of this “electronic realm” known as a “forum”. Okay, I had wanted to come up with some clever roleplaying introduction to myself; I could have sat for hours trying to come up with the perfect narrative but then I’d never actually sign up. So here I am, just and only me. I first discovered the cosmere without realizing it when Comixology recommended I read White Sands. As a fan of hard sci fi I loved the way he introduced the magic system. I then read the Mistborn Trilogy and was sucked in. I’ve since finished the rest of Mistborn, Elantris and the related novellas and most of Stormlight; just started Rhythm of War last week. I’m a little scared to browse the forum due to spoilers (I already read one while perusing introductions). Is it possible or should I just stay away until I finish RoW? I am starting a D&D campaign with a neighbor who is DMing. She has given me leave to create a Mistborn character, so I’m trying to work on a backstory for her. Otherwise, I’m excited to have a place to geek out about the characters and goings on in these stories. They feel like friends to me at this point, unknown to anyone else in my circles.
