  1. Could be something related to the Stormlight RPG. We know its coming sometime this year so news about it is bound to be soon. Alternatively it could be something new perhaps another Sanderson Curiosity whether that be dragonsteel prime or something else we don't know about.
  2. That makes sense thank you I just misunderstood those connection mechanics. Thanks for explaining.
  3. That sort of answers my question. I was thinking more in the context of hypothetically if breath (Endowment’s investiture) was stored in a nicrosilmind and a Scadrian (ruin and preservation’s investiture) tried to use it would they even be able to. It could get off world sure but would anyone in the Cosmere be able to use any nicrosilmind like you said earlier. I’m not quite sure how the identity and connection works with that so maybe I’m thinking of it the complete wrong way.
  4. For some reason I was unsure if the investiture itself would still have a connection to the place it was stored in specific. So even an unsealed one that anyone in the cosmere could use the investiture might still have connection to a shard.
  5. Being able to compound investiture like this wouldn’t be exclusive to breath holders on Nalthis correct. Everyone has their own innate investiture so any nicrosil compounder would be able to pull the same trick. The question here is how does the connection work. For example if a Scadrial compounded their investiture in an unsealed/unkeyed nicrosil mind would anyone from a different planet be able to use it or would the investiture itself still have connection to Scadrial. Might be an interesting question because the answer to it basically decides how viable this is as a method of easily transporting investiture offworld.
  6. Yes but we don't know how. Hoid does it if you've read Yumi yet but this wouldn't be common knowledge to most people. I believe its stated in Rhythm of War that due to the bonds and the fact that they are highly invested Radiants can't leave the Rosharan system due to their connection to the planet.
  7. 100% this actually. It's kind of like how Avatar the last airbender can use its visual style to show airbending which wouldn't really be visible. Animation would allow for visual indications for some magics that are difficult to visually show such as bronze burning, emotional allomancy and possibly even lashings.
  8. I would love this but after how Children of the Nameless was treated by Wizards it doesn’t look likely. For those of you who don’t know the deal was Brandon would write the story for Wizards they would provide it for free and if they ever sold a physical copy the profits would go to a charity of Brandon’s choice. Wizards took the story down without notifying him so I’m not sure how their relationship is. Brandon’s also said I believe he would love to write a fantasy novel in an original plane and then design a whole set after the novel with the Wizard’s design team. I would love both of those collaborations to still happen though. An entirely draftable set would be fantastic honestly.
  9. I had this years ago when my building was under renovation. We had to move over to the stake center for probably like 6 months and I don't think I could do that again. I think we probably started around 1 or 2 This was back during 3 hour church and our stake center is over a half hour away. It's rough for sure.
  10. This is true 100%. I wonder if this is part of the strategy in Disney’s live action “adaptations”. Create controversy to ensure publicity and then have an easy defense when people trash it. I don’t care if they switch the race of a character it doesn’t matter but that does seem to be a bit of a recurring strategy for Disney recently.
  11. That’s true actually most Non-Cosmere stuff wouldn’t matter a ton. Cytoverse describes ethnicities pretty well and occasionally race pops up in the plot such as Morningtide in book one. Cosmere is difficult because it’s A. What the most people care about and B. Has a lot of canon races that people wouldn’t want to disrupt.
  12. Somebody had to say it thank you. The issue with race in media is that some group of people is going to get mad no matter what you do. For the Cosmere in specific it’s hard because well there really aren’t a whole lot of white people on some of these worlds particularly Roshar. Overall I think it’s something people get way too worked up about (just look at the fit the Percy Jackson fandom had or what Disney got after the Little Mermaid and now Snow White). Overall I would hate for this to be the reason an adaptation fails. Maybe my thoughts came out a little jumbled but yeah that’s it.
  13. And Elantris certainly hasn’t been ignored in the meantime. We’ve got short stories and characters who appeared in other Cosmere works. I mean its not the same but it’s more than Rithmatist and Warbreaker have. Poor Warbreaker didn’t even get an essay or short story in Arcanum Unbounded.
  14. There’s been some discussion of how ironeyes became a symbol on other worlds but I just realized it’s probably the Iriali. We already figured they likely went to Scadrial next so when they later moved to Lumar years later it makes sense certain cultural things would be influenced. I dunno if that’s been thought of before.
  15. Whether or not Kelsier’s sacrifice was right is interesting. Clearly the ends justified the means here it overall worked and let the Skaa rebel but could he have told the crew? I honestly think they might’ve been able to talk him out of it. It’s clear how much the crew means to them and they really did have influence over him in a lot of ways. It’s all speculation obviously but I think he made the right decision doing it the way he did. Overall is he a good person? Maybe not initially but by the end of the original trilogy he definitely grew in a lot of ways. He definitely could be a dangerous person for the future of the Cosmere though. His goal is to protect Scadrial no matter what but it seems Scadrial is an aggressor in space age Cosmere. Will he defend his planet even if it doesn’t deserve it is a question that I am excited to see the answer to moving into eras 3 and 4.
